Love activity spiritual progress....

Everything that can be described as a labour of love is conducive to the soul's higher development, thus every labour of love is spiritual progress. But then also every overcoming of earthly desires as well as the resistance against all evil is to be seen as such, for the latter means a weakening of the opposing power and an increase of one's own strength. Man must inevitably reach the heights if he only longs upwards, towards God, and wants to escape the depths by believing in Jesus Christ, the divine saviour and conqueror of death. For anyone who asks God for strength in faith in Him will also receive it, and every influx of strength from God has to increase the soul's state of maturity and signify the being's spiritual advancement. And again only the strength of will is decisive as to whether the path upwards has to be travelled with great struggle or without a fight. For when the will is still weak the adversary also struggles to turn the will towards himself again and then it requires inner struggle to become master of the adversary. A strong will, i.e., a will which is unconditionally turned towards God, is not a field of attack for the adversary and therefore the spiritual resistance will not be so great. Yet the human being can easily overcome all opposition if he is active in love, for then God Himself will support him. He does a work for his neighbour which reduces his hardship, thus God distributes the same, He also reduces his hardship and helps where the human being is in danger of failing. And therefore the human being who is active in love must inevitably ascend, his state of soul must reach a certain maturity, for he is in love and therefore also in God,.... for God Himself is love....

L'activité d'amour est le progrès spirituel

Tout ce qui peut être appelé exécution d'une Œuvre d'amour est une promotion pour le développement vers le Haut de l'âme, donc chaque Œuvre d'amour est un progrès spirituel. Mais alors il faut aussi considérer comme tel chaque dépassement de désir terrestre en tant que résistance contre tout le mauvais, parce que cela signifie un affaiblissement du pouvoir contraire et une augmentation de sa force. L'homme doit inévitablement arriver en haut, si seulement il désire y arriver, c'est-à-dire à Dieu, et s’il veut échapper à l'abîme dans la foi en Jésus Christ, le divin Rédempteur et Vainqueur de la mort. Parce que celui qui demande à Dieu la Force dans la foi en Lui, à celui-ci elle est transmise, et chaque apport de Force de Dieu doit augmenter l'état de maturité de l'âme et signifier pour l'être un développement spirituel ultérieur. Et à nouveau seulement la force de la volonté est déterminante, si la voie vers le Haut doit être parcourue avec une grande lutte ou bien sans celle-ci. Parce qu'avec une volonté encore faible l'adversaire lutte aussi pour faire tourner cette volonté de nouveau vers lui, et alors une lutte intérieure est nécessaire pour vaincre l'adversaire. Une forte volonté, c'est-à-dire une volonté qui est tournée inconditionnellement vers Dieu, n'offre aucun angle d’attaque pour l'adversaire, et donc les résistances spirituelles ne seront pas aussi grandes. Mais l'homme peut dépasser avec facilité toutes les résistances, s'il est actif dans l'amour, parce qu'alors Dieu Lui-Même l'assiste. Il accomplit une Œuvre qui diminue sa misère, donc Dieu distribue aussi la même chose, Il diminue aussi sa misère et aide là où l'homme menace d'échouer. Et donc l'homme qui est actif dans l'amour doit arriver inévitablement en haut, l'état de son âme doit arriver à une certaine maturité, parce qu'il est dans l'amour et par conséquent il est aussi en Dieu, parce que Dieu Lui-Même est l'Amour.
