Inner voice....

Anyone who does not close himself to the voice of the heart must inevitably do what is pleasing to God, for this voice only sounds where the human being strives towards God, i.e., as soon as he has turned away from God, the inner voice keeps silent.... but not that it also speaks and could persuade man to do evil. The person who gives in to the urging of evil forces.... i.e. does what is contrary to God's will.... will never again hear inner cries of admonition or warning. He has silenced the voice within him by not obeying it when it admonished or warned him. So if the voice in the heart sounds, it is always the divine voice, and what it tells man to do will always be right before God. A person can therefore never act wrongly if he respects his inner voice and obeys it, because he has the will to do good and therefore cannot act wrongly. Only if he has not yet freed himself from worldly desires, if he wants to fulfil earthly desires, then the enemy will tempt him through these earthly desires, and he will hold all earthly pleasures and desires against the urging of the heart. And then the danger is that the inner voice is not heeded. Then the body has gained the upper hand over the heart. And man's will has turned towards that which it should overcome. So that will always be the measure of when the divine will is fulfilled, whether the body and its desires are complied with or whether what the human being does and thinks is of benefit to the soul. And the voice of the heart will always demand that a person do what is beneficial to the soul, but will never sound in favour of the body's desires. Anyone who seriously wants to fulfil God's will will also hear the inner voice clearly enough, he will always know what God requires of him, he will just sometimes lack the strength to carry it out.... but then he only needs to pray and the strength will come to him. His will and his prayer can do everything. However, if he lacks one of the two, his life is a struggle and a fight until he asks sincerely and wills wholeheartedly.... The will of man can accomplish everything if it is united with the divine will. And prayer should therefore apply to the still weak will, for what is incomprehensible to the human being becomes clear to him if he regards himself as a work of God's creation which is inseparable from its creator. And therefore the being is also in constant contact with Him and need only want to feel this connection.... through the divine voice which constantly instructs the human being what he should and should not do.... Yet whether he listens to it depends solely on his will, for God certainly admonishes and warns all His living creations but He does not force them to obey Him....

Innere Stimme....

Wer sich der Stimme des Herzens nicht verschließt, der muß unweigerlich das tun, was Gott wohlgefällig ist, denn es tönet diese Stimme nur dort, wo der Mensch Gott zustrebt, d.h., sobald er sich von Gott abgewandt hat, schweigt die innere Stimme.... nicht aber, daß sie gleichfalls spricht und den Menschen zum Bösen anhalten könnte. Es wird der Mensch, der dem Drängen böser Kräfte nachgibt.... also das tut, was Gottes Willen widerspricht.... nimmermehr innere Mahn- oder Warnrufe vernehmen. Er hat die Stimme in sich zum Schweigen gebracht, indem er sie nicht befolgte, als sie ihn ermahnte oder warnte. So also die Stimme im Herzen tönt, ist es immer die göttliche Stimme, und was sie den Menschen zu tun heißt, wird auch immer recht sein vor Gott. Es kann sonach ein Mensch niemals unrecht handeln, der seiner inneren Stimme achtet und sie befolgt, denn dieser hat den Willen zum Guten und kann daher nicht schlecht handeln. Nur wenn er sich von weltlichen Begierden noch nicht frei gemacht hat, wenn er irdisches Verlangen erfüllen will, dann lockt ihn eben durch diese irdischen Begierden der Feind, und es hält dieser dem Menschen alle irdischen Freuden und Gelüste dem Drängen des Herzens entgegen. Und dann ist die Gefahr, daß der inneren Stimme nicht geachtet wird. Dann hat der Körper die Oberhand gewonnen über das Herz. Und es hat der Wille des Menschen sich dem zugewandt, was er überwinden sollte. Also wird immer das der Maßstab sein, wann der göttliche Wille erfüllt wird, ob dem Körper und seinem Begehren entsprochen wird oder das, was der Mensch tut und denkt, der Seele zum Nutzen ist. Und es wird die Stimme des Herzens immer von dem Menschen das Eingehen dessen fordern, was der Seele zuträglich ist, niemals aber dem Begehren des Körpers zugunsten tönen. Wer nun ernstlich den Willen Gottes erfüllen will, der höret die innere Stimme auch deutlich genug, er weiß jederzeit, was Gott von ihm verlangt, nur mangelt es ihm mitunter an Kraft, das auch auszuführen.... doch dann braucht er nur zu beten, und die Kraft wird ihm zugehen. Sein Wille und sein Gebet vermögen alles. Mangelt es jedoch an einem von beiden, dann ist sein Leben ein Kämpfen und Ringen, so lange, bis er innig bittet und vollernstlich will.... Der Wille des Menschen bringt alles zuwege, so er sich mit dem göttlichen Willen verbindet. Und das Gebet soll daher dem noch schwachen Willen gelten, denn was den Menschen unfaßbar ist, das wird ihm klar, so er sich selbst als ein Schöpfungswerk Gottes betrachtet, das untrennbar ist von seinem Schöpfer. Und darum steht auch das Wesen in ständiger Verbindung mit Ihm und braucht nur zu wollen, daß es diese Verbindung auch spürt.... durch die göttliche Stimme, die den Menschen ständig anweiset, was er zu tun und zu lassen hat.... Doch ob er darauf horchet, ist allein von seinem Willen abhängig, denn es mahnet und warnet Gott wohl alle Seine Geschöpfe, doch Er zwingt sie nicht, Ihm zu gehorchen....
