The secret of eternal love....

To fathom the mystery of eternal love is beyond human ability, and thus it will never be possible for a person to imagine God as love Itself, for God is an entity for the believing human being but love is a feeling.... Entity and perception, however, are two concepts that can certainly belong together, where one can mean the complement of the other, but which are difficult to think of as the same.... God is only conceivable as love insofar as the highest, most perfect being must also be in the highest degree of love, consequently God and love cannot be separated from each other. And this explanation is also the only one that can be given to people, but it does not reveal the secret of eternal love. For any thought beyond this is wrong because human thoughts are unable to fathom this miracle. And it must be enough for man to imagine divine love as something incomprehensible which can only be grasped with the same, i.e. that only the loving man penetrates into a mystery and he then only ever applies his own degree of love as a yardstick, since a 'more' is simply not comprehensible to him. Only when he has succeeded in transforming his own being into love will it be easier for him to imagine God as love Itself, but as a human being he will never fathom it completely. He is certainly able to imagine God as an entity, even if this entity is not conceivable in human terms either, yet the human being always imagines an entity as something physical (a form), even if it is not visible to the eye as such. Love, however, cannot take on a form in his imagination, and as soon as it were given a form, it would have to be addressed as something essential again. And therefore the attempt to introduce the human being to this mystery is completely pointless, it would only lead to erroneous trains of thought which could prevent the human being from recognizing the eternal truth. The human being, in his limitedness, will certainly be able to fathom everything that is related to earthly life, but to understand the spiritual requires (even) an activity of love. Then its essence also forms itself into love and when the soul separates itself from the body only the essence remains, which is now also love in itself, therefore is then also not to be seen as two different things, but could only become what it is through love.... thus again essence and love are the same thing.

(23.12.1940) However, the one Who is love in Himself only becomes conceivable as an entity because the possibility of comprehension for the human being only lies in the essence.... Although he also feels love, even if in the smallest measure, he cannot imagine the eternal deity as something that is only expressed in the life of feeling. For he would only regard this as belonging to the entity, but not as the entity itself. Love is a power, and God is power, therefore God and love must be the same. And again God must be recognized as an entity, otherwise the basic concept for the existence of the eternal deity would be missing. Only when the being has approached the eternal deity is it possible to merge the two concepts into each other, and then the being will completely realize what it cannot yet comprehend. On earth, however, it lacks this ability as it can only absorb what can be united with earthly laws, otherwise it will remain misunderstood....

Il Mistero dell’eterno Amore

Sondare il Mistero dell’eterno Amore va oltre la facoltà umana, e così non sarà mai possibile ad un uomo immaginarsi Dio come l’Amore Stesso, perché Dio E’ per l’uomo credente una Entità, ma l’Amore un sentimento. Entità ed Amore però sono due concetti, che possono bensì coincidere, dove l’una può significare il completamento dell’altro, ma che sono difficili da pensare come uguali. Dio come Amore è immaginabile solo in quanto l’Essere più sublime, più perfetto che deve anche stare nel più alto grado d’Amore, quindi, di conseguenza Dio e l’Amore non si possono scindere. E questa Spiegazione è anche l’unica che può essere data agli uomini, ma non svela il Mistero dell’eterno Amore, perché ogni pensiero che ne va oltre è sbagliato, perché pensieri umani non sono in grado di sondare questo Miracolo.

Ed all’uomo deve bastare di immaginarsi l’Amore come qualcosa di Inafferrabile, che può essere compreso solo con lo stesso, cioè che solo l’amore che ama penetra in un Mistero e può sempre soltanto usare il proprio grado d’amore come metro di misura, perché un “più” non gli è afferrabile. Solo quando gli sarà riuscito cambiare il proprio essere nell’amore, gli sarà facile immaginarsi Dio come l’Amore Stesso, ma come uomo non Lo sonderà mai definitivamente.

E’ bensì in grado immaginarsi Dio come una Entità, benché nemmeno Questa Stessa non è immaginabile secondo concetti umani, ma l’uomo si immagina una Entità sempre come qualcosa di corporeo (una forma), anche se non è visibile all’occhio come Tale. Ma l’Amore nella sua immaginazione non può assumere una forma, ed appena Gli fosse dato una forma, sarebbe di nuovo da considerare come qualcosa come Entità. E perciò il tentativo di guidare l’uomo in questo Mistero, è del tutto inutile, condurrebbe soltanto a percorsi di pensieri errati, che potrebbero impedire l’uomo di riconoscere l’eterna Verità. L’uomo nella sua limitatezza potrà bensì sondare tutto ciò che ha a che fare con la vita terrena, ma comprendere lo spirituale richiede essere attivo nell’amore. Allora l’essere si forma anche nell’amore e quando l’anima si separa dal corpo, rimane anche soltanto l’essenziale, che ora è in sé appunto lo stesso amore, quindi non è allora da considerare come dualità, ma attraverso l’amore poteva in genere diventare solamente ciò che è, quindi l’essere e l’amore è di nuovo lo stesso.

Colui il Quale E’ in Sé Stesso Amore, diventa immaginabile solo come Entità, perché per l’uomo la possibilità del comprendere si trova solo nell’essenziale. Benché percepisca anche l’amore, per quanto in piccolissima misura, non può comunque immaginarsi l’eterna Divinità come Qualcosa che si manifesta solamente nella vita dei sentimenti, perché Lo considererebbe solo come appartenente all’Entità, ma non come Entità Stessa. L’Amore è una Forza, e Dio E’ la Forza, quindi Dio e l’Amore devono Essere lo stesso. E Dio deve nuovamente Essere riconosciuto come Entità, altrimenti potrebbe mancare il concetto base per l’Esistenza dell’eterna Divinità. Solo quando l’essere si è avvicinato all’eterna Divinità, è possibile fondere insieme i due concetti, ed allora all’essere verrà totalmente chiaro ciò che ora non può ancora comprendere. Ma sulla Terra gliene manca la facoltà, dato che può cogliere solamente ciò che si lascia unire con le leggi terrene, altrimenti rimane incompreso.
