The secret of eternal love....

To fathom the mystery of eternal love is beyond human ability, and thus it will never be possible for a person to imagine God as love Itself, for God is an entity for the believing human being but love is a feeling.... Entity and perception, however, are two concepts that can certainly belong together, where one can mean the complement of the other, but which are difficult to think of as the same.... God is only conceivable as love insofar as the highest, most perfect being must also be in the highest degree of love, consequently God and love cannot be separated from each other. And this explanation is also the only one that can be given to people, but it does not reveal the secret of eternal love. For any thought beyond this is wrong because human thoughts are unable to fathom this miracle. And it must be enough for man to imagine divine love as something incomprehensible which can only be grasped with the same, i.e. that only the loving man penetrates into a mystery and he then only ever applies his own degree of love as a yardstick, since a 'more' is simply not comprehensible to him. Only when he has succeeded in transforming his own being into love will it be easier for him to imagine God as love Itself, but as a human being he will never fathom it completely. He is certainly able to imagine God as an entity, even if this entity is not conceivable in human terms either, yet the human being always imagines an entity as something physical (a form), even if it is not visible to the eye as such. Love, however, cannot take on a form in his imagination, and as soon as it were given a form, it would have to be addressed as something essential again. And therefore the attempt to introduce the human being to this mystery is completely pointless, it would only lead to erroneous trains of thought which could prevent the human being from recognizing the eternal truth. The human being, in his limitedness, will certainly be able to fathom everything that is related to earthly life, but to understand the spiritual requires (even) an activity of love. Then its essence also forms itself into love and when the soul separates itself from the body only the essence remains, which is now also love in itself, therefore is then also not to be seen as two different things, but could only become what it is through love.... thus again essence and love are the same thing.

(23.12.1940) However, the one Who is love in Himself only becomes conceivable as an entity because the possibility of comprehension for the human being only lies in the essence.... Although he also feels love, even if in the smallest measure, he cannot imagine the eternal deity as something that is only expressed in the life of feeling. For he would only regard this as belonging to the entity, but not as the entity itself. Love is a power, and God is power, therefore God and love must be the same. And again God must be recognized as an entity, otherwise the basic concept for the existence of the eternal deity would be missing. Only when the being has approached the eternal deity is it possible to merge the two concepts into each other, and then the being will completely realize what it cannot yet comprehend. On earth, however, it lacks this ability as it can only absorb what can be united with earthly laws, otherwise it will remain misunderstood....

Le mystère de l’Amour eternel

Sonder le Mystère de l'Amour éternel va au-delà de la faculté humaine, et il ne sera jamais possible à un homme d'imaginer Dieu comme l'Amour Même, parce que Dieu est pour l'homme croyant une Entité, et l'Amour un sentiment. Or Entité et Amour sont deux concepts qui peuvent certes coïncider, lorsque l'un peut signifier l'achèvement de l'autre, mais ils sont difficiles à imaginer comme étant égaux. Dieu comme Amour est imaginable seulement comme l'Être le plus sublime, le plus parfait qui doit aussi être dans le plus haut degré d'Amour, donc, par conséquent Dieu et l'Amour ne peuvent pas se scinder. Et cette Explication est l'unique qui peut être donnée aux hommes, mais elle ne dévoile pas le Mystère de l'éternel Amour, et les pensées qui vont au-delà sont erronées parce que les pensées humaines ne sont pas en mesure de sonder ce Miracle. Et à l'homme il doit suffire de s'imaginer l'Amour comme quelque chose d'Insaisissable qui peut être compris seulement par l’amour, c'est-à-dire que seulement l'amour qui aime pénètre dans ce Mystère et on peut toujours seulement employer son degré d'amour comme unité de mesure, parce que «plus» ne lui est pas compréhensible. Seulement lorsqu’il aura réussi à changer son être en amour, il lui sera facile de s'imaginer Dieu comme l'Amour Même, mais en tant qu’homme il ne le sondera jamais définitivement. Il est certes en mesure de s'imaginer Dieu comme une Entité, bien que cela ne soit pas imaginable selon des concepts humains, car l'homme s'imagine une Entité toujours comme quelque chose de corporel (avec une forme), même si celle-ci n'est pas visible à l'œil comme telle. Mais l'Amour ne peut pas prendre une forme dans son imagination, car à peine une forme Lui serait donnée, ce serait de nouveau Le considérer comme une Entité. Et donc la tentative de guider l'homme dans ce Mystère est entièrement inutile, elle mènerait seulement à des parcours de pensées erronées qui pourraient empêcher l'homme de reconnaître l'éternelle Vérité. L'homme dans sa difficulté de compréhension pourra certes sonder tout ce qu’il doit faire dans la vie terrestre, mais comprendre le spirituel nécessite d’être actif dans l'amour. Ainsi l’essence de l'être est amour et lorsque l'âme se sépare du corps, il reste seulement la substance animique originelle, qui maintenant est en soi justement le même amour, donc on ne peut pas les considérer comme une dualité, mais à travers l'amour l’être a pu en général devenir seulement ce qu’il est, donc l'être et l'amour sont de nouveau la même chose. (23.12.1940) Celui qui est en soi l’Amour Même devient imaginable seulement comme Entité, parce que pour l'homme la possibilité de comprendre se trouve seulement dans la substance animique originelle. Bien qu’il perçoive aussi l'amour, même si c’est en très petite mesure, il ne peut pas de toute façon s'imaginer l'éternelle Divinité comme Quelque chose qui Se manifeste seulement dans la vie des sentiments, parce qu'il considérerait alors cette chose seulement comme appartenant à l'Entité, mais pas comme l’Entité Même. L'Amour est une Force, et Dieu est la Force, donc Dieu et l'Amour doivent être la même chose. Et Dieu doit à nouveau être reconnu comme Entité, autrement il pourrait manquer le concept de base pour l'Existence de l'éternelle Divinité. Seulement lorsque l'être se sera approché de l'éternelle Divinité, il lui sera possible de fondre ensemble les deux concepts, et alors ce que l'être ne peut maintenant pas encore comprendre lui deviendra totalement clair. Mais sur Terre il lui en manque la faculté, vu qu’il peut accueillir seulement ce qui se laisse unir avec les lois terrestres, autrement cela reste incompris.
