Lottare o servire

Senza lotta non può esistere nessuno sviluppo verso l’Alto, a meno che l’amore non venga attizzato ad un tale ardore, che l’uomo serve ora nell’amore ed allora non è più necessario lottare. Ma finché la volontà di amare è ancora debole, l’uomo dovrà lottare con sé stesso, con le sue brame e vizi, perché l’amore dell’io è ancora troppo forte e vincere questo richiede una dura lotta. E questo è il cosciente lavoro sull’anima che l’uomo deve prestare durante la sua vita terrena. Appena ha raggiunto un alto grado d’amore, è soffocato qualsiasi amore dell’io nell’uomo e sorgerà solo ancora per i suoi prossimi, servirà nella Verità, perché a ciò lo spinge l’amore. Ma in questo amore servente si sentirà felice. Finché domina ancora in un uomo l’amore dell’io, gli è difficilmente comprensibile che lo possa rendere felice l’amore servente il prossimo, perché vorrebbe sempre soltanto avvalersi di ciò che l’amore disinteressato per il prossimo invece dà liberamente. Ma l’uomo cambia nel suo sentire e pensare, quando ha deposto il suo amore dell’io. Riconosce ora la felicità interiore in opere dell’amore per il prossimo, è spinto ad intervenire aiutando; in lui l’amore è la forza di spinta alla quale non può resistere ed ogni lotta con sé stesso, con le brame e vizi, ha una fine e lavorerà sempre soltanto su sé stesso per eliminare tutti gli errori e vizi che limitano il grado dell’amore. E ci riuscirà anche, perché ora predomina il divino principio dell’amore e perché viene sempre meno oppresso dalle forze che sono senza amore, per cui non ha nemmeno più da combattere contro le forze, perché le respinge il suo amore. Lottare o servire. Così vi potete sviluppare verso l’Alto, ma per questo ci vuole sempre la vostra libera volontà, perché appena questa non è disposta, soccomberete nella lotta ed approfondirete sempre di più l’amore dell’io in voi, allora l’avversario ha gioco facile, allora si rafforzerà in voi il principio del voler dominare, sfrutterete i vostri prossimi e negherete loro qualsiasi servizio nell’amore, farete di voi un utile strumento per l’avversario di Dio, ma non salirete mai verso l’Alto. Non dovete lasciarvi senza lotta a questo avversario e non sarete nemmeno mai senza Forza, se volete seriamente vincerlo, che abbattete le vostre proprie brame e debolezze, perché questa Forza vi giunge con seria volontà di conquistare la vittoria. Allora vi si offriranno delle occasioni in cui è necessario il vostro aiuto servente, ed appena vi siete una volta esercitati di dare amore senza averne un pensiero egoistico, allora sentirete anche la felicità interiore che una tale azione d’amore fa scaturire. Qualsiasi amor proprio è parte del nemico della vostra anima e perciò cercate di eliminarlo da voi, liberatevi di tutto ciò che gli appartiene ancora, lasciate divampare in voi il puro amore divino, che vi renderà molto più felice che ciò che intendete conquistare nell’amore dell’io. Combattete contro qualsiasi bramosia in voi e prestate liberamente servizi nell’amore. Questo vi deve sempre di nuovo essere detto, affinché percorriate con successo la vita terrena, affinché maturino le vostre anime per il Regno spirituale, dove viene valutato solamente ciò che ha svolto sulla Terra delle opere d’amore. E se l’anima ha fallito sulla Terra, allora deve cercare di raggiungere nell’aldilà il grado d’amore che le procura la Beatitudine, ma allora questo è oltremodo difficile, perché le manca la Forza per agire nell’amore che sulla Terra le stava abbondantemente a disposizione, perché allora ha bisogno di molto sostegno ed amorevole intercessione, che le procura l’apporto di Forza. E se l’utilizza poi nel modo disinteressato mentre presta aiuto all’infelice, allora anche lei salirà in Alto, allora non avrà più da lottare, perché serve nell’amore.

Fight or serve....

There can be no upward development without struggle unless love is kindled into such ardour that the human being now serves with love and then fighting is no longer necessary. But as long as the will to love is still weak the human being will have to fight with himself, with his desires and vices, for self-love is still too strong and defeating it requires a hard battle. And this is the conscious work of the soul which the human being should accomplish during earthly life.... As soon as he has reached a high degree of love all self-love in the human being is suffocated and he will only be devoted to his fellow human beings, he will serve in truth because love drives him to it.... But he will feel happy in this serving love.... As long as selfish love still dominates a person, it is difficult for him to understand that serving neighbourly love could make him happy, because he only ever wants to claim for himself what unselfish neighbourly love, however, voluntarily gives away.... But the human being's feelings and thoughts change when he has given up his self-love.... He now recognizes inner happiness in works of neighbourly love, it drives him to intervene in a helping way; the love in him is the driving force which he cannot resist, and all struggle with himself, with cravings and vices has come to an end and he will only ever work on himself in order to still discard all faults and vices which restrict the degree of love.... And he will also achieve it because the divine principle of love now prevails and because he will always be less oppressed by the forces which are without love.... which is why he now no longer needs to fight against the forces either, for his love repels them.... Fight or serve.... Only in this way can you develop yourselves upwards, yet this always requires your free will, for as soon as this is not ready you will succumb in the battle and increasingly deepen your selfish love, and then the adversary will have an easy game, then the ruling-willing principle will strengthen in you, you will take advantage of your fellow human beings and deny them all service of love, you will make yourselves a useful tool of God's adversary but never ascend.... You must not abandon yourselves to this adversary without a fight, nor will you ever be without strength if you sincerely want to defeat him, to defeat your own cravings and weaknesses, for this strength will come to you with an earnest will to achieve victory.... And then opportunities will present themselves to you where your helpful assistance is required, and once you have only practiced giving love without having a selfish thought, then you will also feel the inner happiness which is triggered by such an act of love.... All self-love is a part of your soul's enemy, and therefore seek to remove it from you, free yourselves from everything that still belongs to him, let pure divine love flare up in you which will make you far more happy than what you strive to attain in self-love.... Fight against all cravings within yourselves and perform voluntary services of love.... This must be said to you again and again so that you will successfully leave earthly life, so that your souls will mature for the spiritual kingdom, where only what they have done on earth in works of love will be valued.... And if it failed on earth it must try to achieve the degree of love in the beyond which will earn it beatitude, but this will be extremely difficult because it lacks the strength for loving activity which was abundantly available to it on earth, because then it will need much support and loving intercession which will earn it an influx of strength.... And if it then uses this unselfishly by helping the unfortunate, then it will also ascend, then it will no longer need to fight because it will serve with love....
