“Vegliate e pregate.... “ – Le tentazioni

Vegliate e pregate, affinché non cadiate in tentazione. Dovete sempre ricordarvi di queste Parole, perché siete in continuo pericolo che venga inflitto del danno all’anima mediante la tiepidezza spirituale. Siate sempre vigili, proteggetevi da improvvisi attacchi dell’avversario, affinché vi trovi sempre armati contro la lotta, quando pregate, e non gli sarà facile di attaccarvi. Perché tutto il male del mondo viene da lui. Egli cerca di spargere la cattiva semenza nei cuori degli uomini, mette in questi tutte le brame, e dove l’uomo non è vigile e dimentica la preghiera, là l’avversario trova buon terreno, cioè verrà anche troppo volentieri data attenzione a ciò che affascina i sensi dell’uomo, e così degli uomini soccomberanno sempre alle tentazioni, perché a loro manca la forza di difendersi contro gli attacchi del nemico. E ciononostante avete così grande Sostegno a disposizione, potete soltanto volere, ed il Signore vi assicura il Suo Aiuto. Vegliate e pregate. Riconoscete con spirito limpido, come potete evitare tutte le tentazioni, quando rivolgete il vostro cuore al divino Salvatore e Lo invocate per l’Aiuto. Soltanto non affidatevi all’aiuto che vi viene offerto terrenamente, non cercate là la sostituzione per la pura Dottrina divina. E pregate anche di nuovo, affinché il Signore benedica voi ed il vostro agire sulla Terra, ma ricordatevi anche quanto sia prezioso essere svegli nel rapporto spirituale, e come per questo ogni giorno deve essere utilizzato per l’aumento della ricchezza spirituale, ricordate, che proprio l’indifferenza degli uomini ha provocato una così immensa miseria, e l’avversario ha un gioco molto facile, dove non gli viene opposta una seria resistenza. E perciò il suo massimo sforzo è di mettere gli uomini in uno stato di stanchezza, e se ora la volontà dell’uomo cede, allora molto presto tutto il divino nell’uomo non potrà più affermarsi, e la fine sarà la sua totale caduta da Dio ed una costante retrocessione nel sapere spirituale. E così segui sempre il nostro Consiglio di non metterti mai in un tale pericolo, mentre hai in mano il miglior mezzo di venire più vicino al Padre nel Cielo, raccomandandoti sempre solo di nuovo nell’intima preghiera al Padre nel Cielo e di sottometterti volentieri e lieta alla Sua Volontà. Allora sarai molto presto padrona del pericolo che gira intorno a te, e mediante la preghiera anche totalmente fortificata nella lotta contro il potere nemico di Dio. L’uomo può bensì evitare tutti gli attacchi, se soltanto li riconosce come tali. Più attentamente badi agli avvenimenti intorno a te, prima potrai evitarli, e le tentazioni non ti si avvicineranno in questo modo. Perciò vegliate e pregate. Ed il Signore ricompenserà il vostro fervore e non vi farà subire nessun danno nel corpo e nell’anima.

"Watch and pray...." temptations....

Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation.... You should always remember these words because you are in constant danger that your soul will be damaged through spiritual lukewarmness.... Always being alert protects you from sudden attacks by the adversary, he will always find you prepared for battle if you pray, and it will not be easy for him to attack you. For all evil in the world comes from him.... He seeks to sow the evil seeds into the hearts of men, he puts all desire into them, and where man is not careful and forgets to pray, there the adversary will find good ground, i.e. attention will only be paid too readily to what stimulates human senses.... and so such people will always succumb to the temptations because they lack the strength to defend themselves against the attacks of the enemy. And yet such great assistance is available to you, you may only want it and the lord assures you of His help.... Watch and pray.... Recognize with a clear spirit how you can escape all temptations if you turn your heart towards the divine saviour and call upon Him for help. Just don't rely on the earthly help offered to you, don't try to find a substitute for the pure divine teaching there. And pray there again so that the lord will bless you and your work on earth, but also consider how valuable it is to be spiritually awake and how every day should therefore be used to increase spiritual wealth.... consider that precisely people's indifference has brought about such immense misery.... and the adversary has an easy game if he is not seriously resisted. And therefore his greatest endeavour is to put people in a state of fatigue.... if the human being’s will now gives way, then very soon everything divine in the human being will no longer be able to assert himself, and the end will be his complete apostasy from God and a constant decline in spiritual knowledge. And thus always follow our advice not to put yourself in such danger under any circumstances, whereas you have the best means in your hand to come closer to the father in heaven by only ever again commending yourself to the father in heaven in heartfelt prayer and gladly and joyfully submitting to His will. Then you will very soon master the danger that lies in wait for you and through prayer you will also be fully strengthened in the fight against the power that is hostile to God. A person can very well avoid all hostilities if only he recognizes them as such.... The more alert you are to all events around you, the sooner you will be able to avoid them and the temptations will not approach you like this.... Therefore watch and pray.... And the lord will reward your zeal and not let you be harmed in body and soul....
