The spiritual world.... paradisiacal state....

The death of the body is the conclusion of life on earth and the beginning of life in eternity. These are two fundamentally different worlds.... The one, which belongs to the past and is also transient in itself, i.e. in constant change, is the world of God's visible and tangible works of creation.... a world that is matter in contrast to the world beyond, where material creations do not exist but are only imagined by imperfect beings until the moment of final overcoming. The body of flesh required earthly, i.e. material, creations, as it itself was also such a creation. However, as soon as the outer shell of flesh falls away and the soul passes over into the spiritual realm, it is completely independent of visible works of creation, provided it has reached a certain degree of maturity. The present world is a world of desires.... Every soul finds what it desires, and thus life in eternity will be a paradisiacal state for the human being, provided that the soul wishes to dwell in paradise. For it can also desire that which is still very humanly earthly. But then the state cannot be called paradisiacal, for earthly desires eliminate such a state. In higher spheres, however, earthly-material things are no longer desired but are regarded as belonging to the past, and instead only spiritual good is sought. Spiritual good, however, are for the first time the currents of power which the being in eternity perceptibly feels and recognizes as necessary for higher development and longs for. In this world nothing is tangible or physically visible, but only visible to the spiritual eye, i.e. everything consists of ethereal substances, it is only recognizable in the life of feeling.... the degree of love of the being will, as it were, determine the spheres which are now the soul's new abode. For when the soul is willing, it also receives, and now receiving and giving is a blissful activity for the being. It does not desire something tangible, but only something delicious, which is expressed in the life of sensation. And thus life in eternity is a constant influx and distribution of divine strength, only spiritual things are desired and received and the emotional life is developed to an unimaginable depth, so that bliss can take on ever greater proportions, thus there is neither a standstill nor a decline in what is the epitome of eternal life.... of eternal glory....

Die geistige Welt.... Paradiesischer Zustand....

Der Leibestod ist der Abschluß des Erdenwandels und der Beginn des Lebens in der Ewigkeit. Es sind dies zwei grundverschiedene Welten.... Die eine, die der Vergangenheit angehört und auch in sich vergänglich ist, d.h. in ständiger Umänderung begriffen, ist die Welt der sichtbaren und greifbaren Schöpfungswerke Gottes.... eine Welt, die Materie ist zum Gegensatz der jenseitigen Welt, wo materielle Schöpfungen nicht bestehen, sondern nur noch den unvollkommenen Wesen gedanklich vorschweben bis zum Moment endgültiger Überwindung. Der Fleischleib bedurfte irdischer, d.h. materieller Schöpfungen, da er selbst gleichfalls eine solche Schöpfung war. Sobald aber die fleischliche Außenhülle fällt und die Seele hinübergeht in das geistige Reich, ist sie völlig unabhängig von sichtbaren Schöpfungswerken, sofern sie einen gewissen Reifegrad erreicht hat. Die nunmehrige Welt ist eine Welt der Wünsche.... Es findet eine jede Seele das vor, was sie begehrt, und also wird das Leben in der Ewigkeit für den Menschen ein paradiesischer Zustand sein, vorausgesetzt, daß die Seele im Paradiese weilen möchte. Denn sie kann ebenso auch das begehren, was noch sehr menschlich irdisch ist. Dann aber ist der Zustand nicht paradiesisch zu nennen, denn irdische Begierden schalten einen solchen aus. In höheren Spähren aber wird Irdisch-Materielles nicht mehr begehrt, sondern als der Vergangenheit angehörig betrachtet, und statt dessen nur geistiges Gut angestrebt. Geistiges Gut aber sind erstmalig die Kraftströmungen, die das Wesen in der Ewigkeit merklich spürt und als zur Höherentwicklung erforderlich erkennt und ersehnt. In dieser Welt ist nichts greifbar oder körperlich sichtbar, sondern nur dem geistigen Auge sichtbar, d.h., es besteht alles aus ätherischen Substanzen, es ist nur im Empfindungsleben erkennbar.... es wird gleichsam der Liebesgrad des Wesens die Sphären bestimmen, die der Seele neuer Aufenthalt nun ist. Denn so die Seele gebewillig ist, empfängt sie auch, und nun ist Empfangen und Geben für das Wesen beglückende Tätigkeit. Es begehrt nicht etwas Greifbares, sondern nur etwas Köstliches, was im Empfindungsleben zum Ausdruck kommt. Und also ist das Leben in der Ewigkeit ein stetes Zuströmen und Austeilen göttlicher Kraft, es wird nur Geistiges begehrt und empfangen und das Empfindungsleben zu unvorstellbarer Tiefe entwickelt, so daß die Glückseligkeit immer größere Ausmaße annehmen kann, also weder Stillstand noch Rückgang dessen eintritt, was Inbegriff ewigen Lebens ist.... der ewigen Herrlichkeit....
