The voice of conscience....

You have no better indication for that which is right than the voice of conscience, the voice of the heart, which truly advises you correctly. This voice will often guide you to do what is pleasing to God. And if you sometimes don't really know what you should do, think or say then you may always call upon God in all sincerity and He will inform you of it such that all doubt, all indecision will fade away and your actions will become conscious and unambiguous. Every wrong thought triggers unease in you and every right thought will make you feel glad, for all good spiritual beings around you endeavour to mentally inform you as to what you should or should not do, and if you willingly accept these suggestions they will give you inner contentment, whereas the other way round they will awaken in you a feeling of unease in order to make you become aware of the inner voice. The prompting of spiritual friends into doing a good deed is often the reason that this deed will then also be carried out, for a person on his own is often too weak-willed if he is not stimulated to do good. And if he only listens to the inner voice he will be correctly guided. The realisation of that which is right will likewise awaken him if he wants to act correctly. For his God-inclined will persistently rejects what is wrong, after all, this will attracts the good and knowledgeable forces which will instruct him truthfully. Although adverse forces try just as hard to exert their influence they will only succeed if a person is weak-willed or indifferent and thus complies with every spiritual influence, completely oblivious as to whether he is being instructed by good or evil forces. This is where wicked forces have an easy game, although afterwards the voice of conscience will sound reproachfully and disturb his inner contentment. If attention is paid to this then the opportunity still exists that the good spiritual forces will still be able to be more persuasively effective, but often such silent reproaches deep within the heart only drive the person to try to drown them out, so that he will no longer take notice of them and thus deaden his conscience and no longer hear the subtle voice within. And this is extremely unfavourable for the soul. For then a person will find it very hard to perform kind-hearted actions, since he has insufficient strength to do so, but, since he is not stimulated by the voice of conscience to resist, he will not take refuge in God either, Who alone can make him strong-willed and send him spiritual strength to help him. If, however, a person cultivates the voice of conscience within himself, if he complies with everything this voice instructs him to do or not to do, and if he finally, after every question posed to the eternal Deity, listens to this voice, he is not likely to take any other path than the one which leads to realisation....

Vocea conștiinței....

Nu ai un semn mai sigur despre ceea ce este corect decât vocea conștiinței, vocea inimii, care te îndrumă cu adevărat spre bine. Adesea, această voce vă ghidează spre ceea ce este plăcut lui Dumnezeu. Și dacă odată nu știi cu adevărat ce trebuie să faci, să gândești sau să vorbești, poți doar să-L chemi pe Dumnezeu în toată intimitatea și El îți va face cunoscut că orice îndoială, orice indecizie va dispărea și vei fi clar și conștient de acțiunile tale. Orice gând greșit declanșează în tine un disconfort, iar orice gând corect te va face fericit, deoarece toate spiritele bune din jurul tău se străduiesc întotdeauna să-ți transmită mental ceea ce ar trebui sau nu ar trebui să faci, iar dacă accepți de bunăvoie aceste transmisii, ele vor declanșa în tine și un sentiment de mulțumire interioară, în timp ce, dimpotrivă, vor trezi în tine un sentiment de disconfort pentru a te face conștient de vocea interioară. Îndemnul prietenilor duhovnicești de a face o faptă bună este adesea motivul pentru care această faptă este acum și realizată, căci doar ființa umană este prea slabă de voință dacă nu este stimulată să facă binele. Și dacă își ascultă doar vocea interioară, va fi ghidată corect. Realizarea a ceea ce este corect îi va veni, de asemenea, dacă vrea să acționeze corect. Pentru că voința sa, care este îndreptată spre Dumnezeu, respinge cu perseverență ceea ce este greșit, deoarece această voință atrage forțele bune cunoscătoare și acestea îl instruiesc acum în mod veridic. Este adevărat că forțele adverse sunt la fel de nerăbdătoare să-și exercite influența, dar ele reușesc doar atunci când ființa umană este lipsită de voință sau indiferentă, astfel că se supune oricărei influențe spirituale, fără să se intereseze deloc dacă forțele bune sau rele îi dau instrucțiuni. Acolo forțele rele au un joc ușor, deși după aceea vocea conștiinței sună cu reproșuri și îl privează pe om de mulțumirea interioară. Dacă se mai ține cont de acest lucru, este posibil ca forțele spirituale bune să poată avea atunci o influență mai mare, dar astfel de reproșuri tăcute din inimă pot duce cu ușurință la încercarea ființei umane de a le îneca, încât să nu le mai acorde atenție și astfel să-și amorțească conștiința și să nu mai asculte vocea subtilă din interiorul său. Iar acest lucru este extrem de dezavantajos pentru suflet. Pentru că omului îi este greu să facă fapte bune, deoarece are prea puțină putere pentru a face acest lucru, dar cum nu este stimulat să se împotrivească de glasul conștiinței, nu recurge nici la Dumnezeu, care este singurul care îl poate face voinic și îi poate trimite putere spirituală pentru a-l ajuta. Dar dacă ființa umană cultivă vocea conștiinței în interiorul ei, dacă se conformează la tot ceea ce îi spune vocea să facă sau să nu facă și, în cele din urmă, ascultă această voce după fiecare întrebare adresată divinității eterne, cu greu va lua altă cale decât cea care duce la cunoaștere.....
