Mandatory state.... light - influence on the unredeemed....

The light of the spirit penetrates into all matter, i.e., the spiritual within matter is constantly influenced by the spiritual outside matter to do that which must lead to redemption. The spiritual outside of matter is therefore that which is controlled by God's will or, better said, that which submits itself to divine will. It will therefore exert the influence as God determines. This spiritual is therefore in charge of the spiritual in matter, which is still in the beginning of its development, and it now carries out what the mature spiritual wants. This is the mandatory state which every being has to go through before it acquires its free will as a human being. But at the same time the mature spiritual being makes the still undeveloped being aware of its state of compulsion in the banished form and stimulates it to activity, because then the lightless stay in the solid form is torture for the being, and when a being of light breaks through this darkness and lets a glimmer of light reach the spiritual being in the form, the desire for light is awakened in the being, and then it also willingly carries out what is demanded of it, and so loosens the cover a little. The spirit can now enter into contact with the spiritual outside much more easily. Light is therefore both a means and an end.... To let light flow in means to let it become hungry for light; to long for light means fulfilment. For light is given to the desiring being. It is evident from this what love the eternal deity has for Its living creations that they can allow the will within themselves to become active, i.e., although they only carry out the divine will in form, it is nevertheless of great advantage for the being if its own will is already the same as the divine will as long as it is still in a state of compulsion. Such a being will cover the earth orbit much more successfully, it will be able to leave every form again after a short stay because it willingly carries out what means redemption for the being. However, the way in which the mature spiritual assists the banished spiritual is difficult to explain. These are spiritual currents which every work of creation must feel and which now bring the slumbering spiritual to awaken. Only the completely stubborn spiritual substance remains in its God-rejecting will, and therefore its external form is still very hard, so that even the love of the mature spiritual beings is unable to break the rigid mind, since the light only very rarely shines for the being which remains in resistance against God and therefore the rigid mind cannot be easily broken to its own sorrow, for due to its lack of light it does not recognize that there is help for the immature spiritual substance and therefore does not desire this help of its own accord either. For this reason it is often also violently shaken out of its stubbornness so that in a state of temporary freedom it now gets to know the advantage of a free state and then strives all the more eagerly for light, thus the spiritually mature forces now have access and can correspondingly successfully influence the banished spiritual substance, so that it now eagerly complies with what is demanded of it, and the hardness of the form around itself now begins to decrease considerably, now the liberation from these forms takes place relatively quickly and the spirit out of God has unhindered access to the spiritual, which is hiding in matter and languishes for redemption....

Amen
