Geistträger.... Zweck alles Geschaffenen.... Wachstum der Pflanzen....

Es hat nun alles Geschaffene in erster Linie den Zweck, als Geist-Träger zu dienen, gleichzeitig aber auch zur Erhaltung des Ganzen beizutragen, denn es ist gleichsam eins für das andere erschaffen und zum Bestehen desselben notwendig. Es ist kein Ding in der Schöpfung völlig zwecklos geschaffen worden, vielmehr wird es stets eine Ergänzung bedeuten in der Art, daß entweder das eine aus dem anderen die Lebenskraft zieht oder das Schöpfungswerk sonstigen Bedürfnissen entspricht, jedoch irgendwelche Bestimmung hat zum Nutzen oder zur Erhaltung der verschiedenen Geschöpfe. Nur ist zu beobachten, daß alles Geistige, das diese Schöpfung belebt, von der äußeren Bestimmung der es umhüllenden Form nicht berührt wird, daß also ganz ungeachtet der irdischen Tätigkeit alles Geistige in sich tätig ist, während die Außenform immer zur Vervollkommnung einer anderen Form beiträgt und also gleicherweise fortgesetzt tätig bleibt im irdischen Sinn. Was der Erde entzogen wird für das Wachstum der Pflanze, ist gewissermaßen immer die äußere Hülle irgendwelcher seelischen Substanz, die nun aufgenommen wird in die Pflanzenwelt, dort eine neue Form zustande bringt zum gleichen Zweck, während die geistige Substanz immer wieder in der neuen Form Wohnung nimmt, sich durch die der vorigen Form entnommenen Seelensubstanz vermehrt und sich also zu immer größeren Wesen gestaltet, die in der gesamten Schöpfung gleichfalls ihre zweckdienliche Bestimmung haben....

Spirit bearer.... purpose of all created things.... growth of plants....

Everything created has the primary purpose of serving as a spirit carrier but at the same time also contributes to the preservation of the whole, for one is, as it were, created for the other and necessary for the existence of the latter. No thing in creation was created completely without purpose, rather, it will always mean a complement in such a way that either one draws the vitality from the other or the work of creation corresponds to other needs but has some purpose for the benefit or preservation of the various creatures. It is only to be observed that all spiritual, which enlivens this creation, is not touched by the outer purpose of the form enveloping it, that therefore all spiritual is active in itself completely irrespective of earthly activity, while the outer form always contributes to the perfection of another form and therefore remains equally active in the earthly sense. What is taken from the earth for the growth of the plant is, so to speak, always the outer cover of some soul substance, which is now taken up into the plant world, where it brings about a new form for the same purpose, while the spiritual substance always takes up residence again in the new form, increases through the soul substance taken from the previous form and thus shapes itself into ever greater beings, which likewise have their purposeful destiny in the whole of creation....
