Value of intercession for the otherworldly....

It is of great importance to know the situation of the souls in the kingdom of the beyond who, in their adversity, recognize what they missed on earth and make an effort to improve their situation. Only these can be helped by beings of light, for since the souls' free will is also respected in the spiritual kingdom the beings of light cannot influence the souls against their will; thus the redemption of a still unwilling soul will be extremely difficult and it can often take eternities until the soul makes an effort to improve itself. But it is now a wrong concept if it is assumed that help is never offered to the souls in darkness.... The kingdom of light constantly endeavours to bring light into the darkness, yet where the hearts close themselves the light loses its luminosity and it remains dark there as before. So the souls determine their state themselves, which can be darkness or twilight or light.... they determine it themselves through their will, which must first be turned towards the light if it is to become brighter around the soul. But if a soul is so weakened or even completely in the hands of God's adversary, then it will eternally not be able to rise from this weakness alone. Nor does it know anything about the divine redeemer Jesus Christ and thus cannot call upon Him for help either.... And it would therefore remain in its wretched state for eternity if it is not helped through the intercession of people.... Precisely this intercession is mostly omitted because people do not believe in its effect and urgency. But intercession is a significant factor especially for the kingdom of the beyond, for where the being itself is no longer able to help itself and God's love is legally bound by the soul's free will, a person's love can intervene, and for the sake of his love God's love can now become active and give it to the unfortunate being in the form of strength supply.... The final decision still remains with the soul itself as to whether and how it will use the strength it now receives through the intercession of the human being. But it feels this strength as a blessing, and it begins to relax its previous resistance, and it becomes somewhat lighter within itself so that it begins to think, and its redemption can now take place if only it uses the strength of the intercession correctly. Then the beings of light can also intervene without finding resistance. Every connection of souls of darkness with the world of light or with God is therefore impossible as long as the will is not broken before, which still remains in open resistance with God, otherwise the being would not be in darkness. For it is not decided by the desire for a better state alone, which every being in darkness will certainly have, but it must first recognize the cause of its wretched state and make an effort to change this cause, to change itself and desire light for the sake of light, not for the sake of the associated bliss.... The being must recognize its sinfulness and want to be rid of its sins, it must desire redemption out of the realization that in this sinfulness it is not worthy of God's nearness, and it must want to become free from sin and death in order to come close to God, for Whom the soul must yearn. which will certainly be the case once it recognizes its guilt and confesses it to Jesus Christ, Who will repeatedly approach it in order to cause it to call upon Him in its distress.... The soul must want to find its way out of its state of torment itself, yet always in profound humility and in the realization of its sins. And this requires its transformed will, which can only achieve such a change through intercession, because the soul alone is too weak when it enters the kingdom of the beyond in a state of darkness. Then it can receive so much strength through intercession which it will certainly use in the right way, because God's love is extremely happy to reward the love of intercessory people with the fulfilment of their requests to help an unhappy soul in the spiritual kingdom in its adversity. Love alone removes barriers which God's justice has set up and which cannot be arbitrarily overturned either.... God's love is limited by the will of the soul itself.... Thus, where the soul's will fails, a person's vicarious love can step in, and for the sake of this love God will help the soul to become free from its wretched situation.... for God only wants every being's bliss but not its ruin....

De waarde van de voorbede voor degenen in het hiernamaals

Het is van groot belang op de hoogte te zijn van de toestand van de zielen in het rijk hierna, die in hun nood inzien wat ze op aarde verzuimden en zich inspannen om hun toestand te verbeteren. Alleen deze kunnen geholpen worden door wezens van het licht. Want omdat ook in het geestelijke rijk de vrije wil van de zielen wordt geëerbiedigd, kunnen de lichtwezens ook niet tegen hun wil op de zielen in werken. Dus zal de verlossing van een nog onwillige ziel buitengewoon moeilijk zijn en zijn hiervoor vaak eeuwigheden nodig, totdat de ziel zichzelf inspant voor een verbetering. Maar het is een onjuiste opvatting, wanneer wordt aangenomen dat de zielen in de duisternis nooit hulp wordt aangeboden.

Het lichtrijk spant zich onophoudelijk in licht in de duisternis te brengen, maar waar de harten zich afsluiten, verliest het licht aan lichtsterkte en blijft het daar donker als voorheen. De zielen bepalen dus hun toestand zelf, welke uit duisternis of schemering of licht kan bestaan. Ze bepalen deze zelf door hun wil, die eerst op het licht gericht moet zijn, als het lichter om de ziel moet worden. Maar is nu een ziel zo verzwakt of ook nog helemaal in de handen van de tegenstander van God, dan zal ze eeuwig niet alleen deze krachteloosheid te boven kunnen komen.

Ze weet ook niets van de goddelijke Verlosser Jezus Christus en kan Hem dus ook niet om hulp aanroepen.

En ze zou daarom eeuwige tijden in haar ongelukkige toestand blijven, wanneer ze niet werd geholpen door voorspraak van de mensen.

Juist deze voorspraak wordt meestal nagelaten, omdat er niet aan de uitwerking en de urgentie ervan wordt geloofd. Maar de voorbede is juist voor het rijk hierna een belangrijke factor, want waar het wezen zelf niet meer in staat is zich te helpen en de liefde Gods wettelijk gebonden is door de vrije wil van de ziel, daar kan de liefde van een mens bemiddelend tussenbeide komen en ter wille van diens liefde kan nu Gods liefde actief worden en ze het ongelukkige wezen doen toekomen in de vorm van toevoer van kracht.

De laatste beslissing blijft weliswaar steeds nog bij de ziel zelf, of en hoe ze de kracht benut die haar door de voorbede van de mens nu toekomt. Maar ze ervaart deze kracht als weldaad en haar huidige weerstand begint te verslappen en het wordt iets lichter in haar, zodat ze begint na te denken. En dan kan haar verlossing plaatsvinden, wanneer ze de kracht van de voorbede maar juist gebruikt. Dan kunnen ook de lichtwezens zich inmengen, zonder weerstand te ondervinden. Elke verbinding dus van zielen der duisternis met de lichtwereld of met God is onmogelijk, zolang de wil tevoren niet is gebroken, die nog in openlijke weerstand aan God volhardt, daar anders het wezen zich niet in de duisternis zou bevinden. Want het verlangen naar een betere toestand, dat wel ieder wezen in de duisternis zal hebben, geeft niet alleen de doorslag. Veeleer moet het tevoren de reden van zijn ellendige toestand inzien en zich inspannen om deze reden te veranderen, zich zelf te veranderen en licht te verlangen ter wille van het licht, niet ter wille van de daarmee samengaande gelukzaligheid.

Het wezen moet zijn zondigheid inzien en vrij van zonden willen worden. Het moet de verlossing begeren vanuit het inzicht dat het de nabijheid Gods in deze zondige toestand niet waardig is. En het moet vrij willen worden van zonde en dood om nader tot God te komen, naar Wie de ziel vurig verlangen moet, wat ook zeker het geval zal zijn wanneer ze eenmaal haar schuld inziet en die belijdt voor Jezus Christus, Die haar steeds weer nader zal komen om haar ertoe te brengen dat ze tot Hem roept in haar nood.

De ziel moet zelf uit haar kwellende toestand een uitweg willen vinden, maar steeds in diepe deemoed en in het besef van haar zonden. En dat vergt haar veranderde wil die tot zo’n verandering kan komen juist door de voorbede, omdat de ziel alleen te zwak is wanneer ze het rijk hierna in de toestand van duisternis binnengaat. Dan kan haar door voorspraak zoveel kracht toegevoerd worden, die ze ook zeker op de juiste manier zal gebruiken, omdat Gods liefde uitermate graag de liefde van de mensen die voorspreken beloont met de vervulling van hun verzoeken, een ongelukkige ziel in het geestelijke rijk te helpen in haar nood.

Alleen de liefde ruimt barrières uit de weg, die de rechtvaardigheid van God heeft opgeworpen en die ook niet willekeurig omvergegooid kunnen worden.

Aan de liefde van God is door de wil van de ziel zelf paal en perk gesteld.

Waar haar wil dus faalt, kan de plaatsvervangende liefde van een mens inspringen en God zal ter wille van deze liefde de ziel helpen om uit haar ongelukkige toestand vrij te worden, want God wil alleen de gelukzaligheid van ieder wezen, maar niet zijn ondergang.
