'Convinced' faith....

No human being is forced to believe but everyone has to acquire it himself. Therefore, even if spiritual teachings are presented to the human being he cannot be compelled to believe in them, because such faith would only mean lack of contradiction, thus the human being would not openly express himself against them but he would still not need to be inwardly convinced of them. Such people therefore cannot be called 'believers' as long as they have not yet gained the inner conviction of the truth of what is demanded to be believed. And such faith is worthless before God.... For neither the intellect nor the heart affirmatively puts itself to it. However, the intellect alone cannot acquire this conviction because it cannot produce any evidence for the truth of the spiritual teachings. But the heart can attain conviction.... but only through the working of love. And the human being, in turn, cannot be forced into love because love is completely free. Love is the only means of attaining a living faith, an inner conviction without proof. This is an incontrovertible truth which cannot be refuted but will never be acknowledged by unloving people. For it is precisely only confirmed through love: And thus it is also understandable why precisely doctrines of faith are repeatedly disputed, why humanity has completely different opinions in the spiritual sphere and why unity can only be recorded where people live a life of love.... but why the latter also hold their views with full conviction, for they have gained the right, living faith through love. And thus spiritual knowledge could certainly be conveyed to people but it will not be able to become a conviction in them until the spirit in them is awakened through a life of love. And therefore it is the first and most urgent thing if people are to be helped to attain faith, to preach love to them and to stimulate them to be active in love. However, as long as these efforts are unsuccessful people will not be able to believe in everything else which has its origin in God and should lead to God again. So it can be said quite simply: Without love no one will reach God. Only one thing is necessary for man: to kindle love in himself. But all indications of this are ignored, only a few take it seriously and try to shape themselves into love, only a few subject their nature and their way of acting to serious criticism and try to change. And that is why only a few people reach the aim. To be able to believe wholeheartedly is blissful, but it is not to be understood as blind faith which has not been preceded by a serious examination of the doctrines of faith.... which can also be held by a person who has little love.... the faith which should rather be called 'fanaticism' than 'faith'. Love always remains the foundation of faith, and a faith without love collapses as soon as it is to prove itself.... But one day people will be called upon to prove themselves, and then only a few will persevere, only a few people will have this conviction which only a life of love can give and which is therefore called the strength of faith which stands firm in the most difficult tribulations in the last days before the end. Only then will it be proven who is truly faithful.... but the blind believer will fail. He lacks the strength which only love can bring him.... He lacks inner conviction and will therefore unhesitatingly surrender faith because he did not possess it in reality....

Nenhuma pessoa é forçada a acreditar, mas todos têm de o adquirir pessoalmente. Portanto, mesmo que os ensinamentos espirituais sejam apresentados ao ser humano, ele não pode ser obrigado a acreditar neles, porque tal fé significaria apenas uma falta de contradição, assim o ser humano não se expressaria abertamente contra isso, mas ainda assim não precisaria estar interiormente convencido disso. Tais pessoas, portanto, não podem ser chamadas de "crentes" enquanto ainda não tiverem a convicção interior da verdade do que se exige para ser acreditado. E tal fé é inútil perante Deus.... Pois nem o intelecto nem o coração se colocam afirmativamente a ele. Entretanto, o intelecto por si só não pode adquirir essa convicção porque não pode produzir nenhuma evidência para a verdade dos ensinamentos espirituais. Mas o coração pode alcançar a condenação.... mas só através do trabalho do amor. E o ser humano, por sua vez, não pode ser forçado a amar, porque o amor é completamente livre. O amor é o único meio de alcançar uma fé viva, uma convicção interior sem provas. Esta é uma verdade incontestável que não pode ser refutada, mas que nunca será reconhecida por pessoas que não amam. Porque só se confirma precisamente através do amor: e assim também se compreende porque é que as doutrinas de fé são repetidamente contestadas, porque é que a humanidade tem opiniões completamente diferentes na esfera espiritual e porque é que a unidade só pode ser registada onde as pessoas vivem uma vida de amor...., mas porque é que estes últimos também têm as suas opiniões com plena convicção, porque ganharam o direito, a fé viva através do amor. E assim o conhecimento espiritual poderia certamente ser transmitido às pessoas, mas não poderá tornar-se uma convicção nelas até que o espírito nelas seja despertado através de uma vida de amor. E, portanto, é o primeiro e mais urgente se as pessoas devem ser ajudadas a alcançar a fé, a pregar-lhes o amor e a estimulá-las a serem activas no amor. Mas enquanto esses esforços não forem bem sucedidos, as pessoas não poderão acreditar com convicção em tudo o resto que tem a sua origem em Deus e deve levar a Deus novamente. Portanto, pode ser dito de forma muito simples: Sem amor, ninguém chegará a Deus. Só uma coisa é necessária para o homem: acender o amor em si mesmo. Mas todos os indícios disso são ignorados, apenas alguns levam isso a sério e tentam moldar-se em amor, apenas alguns sujeitam a sua natureza e a sua forma de agir a críticas sérias e tentam mudar. E é por isso que apenas algumas pessoas atingem o objectivo. Ser capaz de acreditar de todo o coração é feliz, mas não deve ser entendido como uma fé cega que não foi precedida por um exame sério das doutrinas da fé...., que também pode ser mantida por uma pessoa que tem pouco amor.... a fé que deveria ser mais chamada de 'fanatismo' do que de 'fé'. O amor permanece sempre o fundamento da fé, e uma fé sem amor desmorona assim que se prova a si mesma..... Mas um dia as pessoas serão chamadas a provar a si mesmas, e então só algumas poucas perseverarão, só algumas terão a convicção que só uma vida de amor pode dar e que por isso se chama a força da fé que se mantém firme nas tribulações mais difíceis nos últimos dias antes do fim. Só então será provado quem é verdadeiramente fiel.... mas o crente cego falhará. Falta-lhe a força que só o amor lhe pode trazer.... Falta-lhe convicção interior e, por isso, rende sem hesitar a fé porque não a possuía na realidade...._>Amém
