‘He who abides in love abides in Me....’

The approach to God takes place through every work of love.... For God is Eternal Love Himself, and if a work of love is performed, the glowing spark of love in the human being will unite with the fire of divine love.... God Himself, Whose fundamental nature is Love and Strength, comes close to the human being. Only the spiritually awakened human being is able to understand this and yet it cannot be explained in any other way.... But it becomes understandable to every human being if he performs deeds love himself, then he senses God around and within himself, he feels close to the essence of the Deity himself, he no longer doubts God's existence, for Eternal Love Itself instructs him and gives him the knowledge of the essence of love, of its origin and strength. The loving human being is in constant contact with the primary source of love, he constantly draws strength from God, for Divine Love Itself is now working in him. The loving human being can also never be without faith, for he also believes in what he feels within himself, consequently he also recognises the supreme Being because It has made Itself aware to him through love. For love is not a quality, it is the essence itself. This is too difficult for the human being of this earth to understand but will be clearly comprehensible to the soul when it discards the heaviness of earth and enters the spiritual kingdom. On earth it remains a mystery to it, which it is unable to unveil, only that the awareness of God's presence becomes ever stronger in the human being the more he lives with love, and consequently he can no longer imagine love without God and God without love. And thus the concept of God is inseparably linked with the concept of love, and the human being progresses towards the fullest realisation of the essence of love.... Whose heart has turned into love is therefore also constantly close to God.... God Himself dwells in him, the unification of the spiritual spark resting in the human heart with the eternal Father-Spirit has taken place because the spark of love has merged with the fire of eternal love.... Man now lives in God and God is in him.... But only through loving activity can union with God be established, any other connection is impossible, because the essence of the Eternal Deity is love and only the same can unite with It. ‘He who abides in love abides in Me and I in him....’ These are His Words, which are to be taken completely literally and which allow no other explanation. And therefore His Word only teaches love so that people establish the connection with Eternal Love, because this is the purpose of earthly life, so that they become like God, so that they strive for unity, so that they become blissfully happy through love, so that they can eternally stay close to God, Who is Eternal Love Himself....

“사랑 안에 머무는 사람은 내 안에 머문다."

단지 모든 사랑을 행하는 일을 통해 하나님께 접근하게 된다. 왜냐면 하나님이 영원한 사랑 자신이고, 사랑을 행할 때 사람 안에 불씨로 거하는 사랑의 불씨가 하나님의 사랑의 불과 연합하기 때문이다. 사랑과 힘 자체인 하나님 자신이 사람에게 가까이 다가 간다. 단지 영이 깨어난 사람이 이를 이해할 수 있다. 그러나 다른 방법으로는 설명을 할 수 없다. 하지만 사랑을 행하는 모든 사람은 이를 이해하게 될 것이다. 그러면 그는 자신 주위와, 자신 안에서 하나님을 느끼고, 자신이 신성에 가까이에 있다고 느낀다. 그는 더 이상 하나님의 존재를 의심하지 않는다. 왜냐면 영원한 사랑 자신이 그를 가르치고, 사랑의 본질에 대해, 사랑의 기원과 힘에 대한 깨달음을 주기 때문이다.

사랑을 행하는 사람은 사랑의 원천과 끊임없이 연결되어 있고, 그는 끊임없이 하나님으로부터 힘을 얻는다. 왜냐면 하나님의 사랑 자신이 이제 그 안에서 역사하기 때문이다. 사랑을 행하는 사람은 또한 절대로 믿음이 없을 수 없다. 왜냐면 그가 스스로 자신 안에서 느끼는 것을 믿기 때문이다. 결과적으로 그는 또한 가장 높은 존재를 인정한다. 왜냐면 최고의 존재가 사랑을 통해 그가 의식하게 했기 때문이다. 왜냐면 사랑은 성품이 아니고, 존재 자체이기 때문이다. 이를 이해하는 일은 이 땅의 사람들에게 너무 어렵지만, 이 땅의 무거운 짐을 벗고, 영의 나라에 들어가면, 혼이 분명히 이해할 수 있게 될 것이고, 이 땅에서는 혼이 알아낼 수 없는 비밀로 혼에게 남게 된다. 단지 사람이 더 많이 사랑을 행할수록, 이로써 그가 하나님이 없는 사랑을, 사랑이 없는 하나님을 더 이상 상상할 수 없게 될수록, 사람 안의 하나님의 임재에 대한 의식이 점점 더 강해지게 된다.

그러므로 하나님의 개념과 사랑의 개념은 뗄 수 없는 관계이고, 인간은 사랑의 본질에 대한 완전한 깨달음을 향해 나아간다. 자신의 심장을 사랑으로 형성한 사람은 항상 하나님과 가까이에 거하고, 하나님 자신이 그 안에 거하고, 인간의 심장 안에 있는 영의 불씨와 영원한 아버지 영의 연합이 이뤄진 것이다. 왜냐면 사랑의 불씨이 영원한 사랑의 불과 하나가 되었기 때문이다. 사람은 이제 하나님 안에서 살고, 하나님은 그 안에 거한다. 그러나 하나님과의 연합은 단지 사랑을 행하는 일을 통해 이룰 수 있다. 다른 어떤 방법으로 연결을 이루는 일은 불가능하다. 왜냐면 영원한 신성의 본질이 사랑이고, 사랑은 단지 동일한 것과 연합할 수 있기 때문이다.

"사랑 안에 머무는 사람은 내 안에 있고, 나는 그 안에 머문다." 이 말씀은 하나님의 말씀이고, 완전히 문자 그대로 받아드려야만 하고, 다른 어떤 설명도 허용하지 않는다. 그러므로 하나님의 말씀은 사랑을 가르친다. 이로써 사람들이 영원한 사랑과 연결을 이루게 한다. 왜냐면 사람들이 하나님을 닮는 일이, 하나님과 연합을 추구하는 일이, 이로써 그들이 사랑을 통해 구원을 얻고, 그들이 사랑 자체인 하나님 곁에서 영원히 거할 수 있게 되는 일이 이 땅의 삶의 목적이기 때문이다.
