Reminder.... free will.... faith without proof....

The beingness strives for the last embodiment on earth because through this it promises itself final liberation. And therefore it now has to pass the last test of life as a human being, deprived of all recollection of the previous stages, so that the passing of this test of earthly life only depends on the decision of its free will. He receives the knowledge about his task on earth, either through instructions by human beings or mental instructions by knowing spiritual beings, and the human being's will is now faced with decisions which can bring him closer to God or increase his distance from Him. If he knew about his previous life his actions and thoughts would be under the impression of that previous life and then one could not speak of a free decision, because the constraint in the many forms, which the beingness has overcome, would have such a burdening effect on the soul of man that it would now lead its way of life under a certain compulsion or the fear of having to live through the previous stages once again. But then the being could never reach a degree of maturity for which free will is a prerequisite. Consequently, the soul must be deprived of its past memories in order not to make it unfree and therefore unsuitable for its higher spiritual development. However, during the time of life on earth the consequences of a right as well as a wrong life are nevertheless brought to man's attention, only this happens by way of instructions which cannot be proven but only have to be believed, so that again the freedom of will remains, since proofs would likewise have a determining effect on man, thus man would again act under compulsion. All knowledge can be made accessible to the human being, and yet divine wisdom cannot be proven but requires profound faith and therefore cannot be regarded as a means of coercion by which the soul is forced onto a certain path without its will. God constantly gives people knowledge about the consequences of their earthly walk, but always in a way that nevertheless allows them to act freely.... He brings Himself close to them but does not force Himself upon them.... However, no matter what they decide they have to accept the consequences, for God has granted them a measure of grace for the time of their earthly life which only needs to be utilized. He does not leave the soul helplessly to its own devices but gives it every conceivable assistance so that it will cover the earthly path correctly. And thus the time of embodiment as a human being is a real time of grace for the being which can result in its complete liberation from the form if the being does not oppose it with its will and rejects the grace granted to it by God's love.... Then it has decided of its own free will in favour of God's adversary and left its last embodiment on earth unused, and then it has to wrestle and fight in the beyond in agony and self-reproach in order to make its self-inflicted fate bearable and to be able to record spiritual progress....

옛 기억. 자유의지. 증거 없이 믿는 믿음.

존재들은 이 땅 위에서 마지막으로 육신을 입기를 추구한다. 왜냐하면 최종적으로 자유롭게 되는 일이 육신을 입는 일을 통해 보장되기 때문이다. 존재는 이제 인간으로 마지막 삶의 시험에서 합격해야만 하고, 모든 이전의 단계들에 대한 과거의 기억이 그에게 지워져, 단지 그의 자유의지에 따라 이 땅에 삶의 시험의 합격여부를 결정하게 된다. 자신에게 어떤 과제가 이 땅의 삶에 주어졌는지 대한 지식을 사람들을 통해 가르침 받거나, 이를 알고 있는 영역 존재로부터 생각을 통해 가르침 받을 수 있다. 인간의 의지가 이제 자신을 하나님 가까이로 갈지 또는 더욱 멀어지게 할지 결정해야 한다.

만약에 사람이 인간으로 태어나기 전의 자신의 생애를 안다면, 그의 행동과 생각은 전의 생애에서 받은 인상아래 있게 되어 자유로운 결정을 한다고 말할 수 없게 된다. 왜냐하면 여러 형체 안에서 묶임을 받고, 극복한 일이 인간의 혼에 부담이 되어, 그의 인생의 삶을 이제 어느 정도 강요아래 또는 전 단계를 다시 거쳐야만 할지도 모른다는 두려움 아래 살 수 있기 때문이다. 그러면 존재는 자유의지의 전제 하에 이룰 수 있는 성장 정도에 절대로 도달할 수 없다. 그러므로 혼이 자유롭게 영적으로 성장할 수 있게 하거나, 영적인 성장을 할 수 없게 만들지 않기 위해, 혼에게서 옛 기억을 빼앗아야만 한다.

이 땅에서 사는 동안 올바른 삶과 잘못된 삶의 결과를 사람들에게 알 수 있게 해준다. 그러나 알려주는 일이 증명할 수 없는, 단지 믿어야만 하는 가르침을 통해 이뤄진다. 이로써 사람의 자유의지가 보장이 된다. 왜냐하면 증거는 확정하는 식으로 사람에게 영향을 미치기 때문에 사람이 다시 강요 아래 행할 수 있기 때문이다. 사람에게 모든 지식을 전해줄 수 있다. 그러나 하나님의 지혜들은 증명할 수 없고, 깊은 믿음을 요구하므로, 혼이 자신의 의지와 상관이 없이 특정한 길을 가도록 강요하는 수단이라고 볼 수 없다. 하나님은 지속적으로 사람들에게 이 땅 위에 삶의 결과를 알려 준다. 그러나 항상 사람들이 자유롭게 행동할 수 있게 하는 방식으로 한다.

하나님 자신이 사람들 가까이에 다가간다. 그러나 사람들에게 강요하지 않고, 사람들이 어떻게 결정하든지 사람들은 자신의 결정에 결과에 책임져야만 한다. 하나님은 이 땅에서 사는 동안 사람들이 사용하기만 하면 되는 충분한 은혜를 사람들에게 주었기 때문이다. 하나님은 혼을 무기력하게 혼자 두지 않고, 모든 생각할 수 있는 도움을 주어, 이 땅의 삶을 올바르게 살수 있도록 돕는다.

그러므로 존재가 인간으로 육신을 입는 일은 실제 은혜의 기간이다. 만약에 그가 하나님의 의지에 거역하지 않는다면, 하나님의 사랑이 그에게 준 은혜를 거절하지 않는다면, 존재는 이 기간 동안에 형체로부터 완전히 자유롭게 될 수 있다. 그러나 그가 거역하고 거절한다면, 그는 자유의지로 하나님의 대적자를 위해 결정한 것이고, 자신의 이 땅 위의 마지막 육신을 입는 일을 활용하지 않고, 이제 영계에서 고통 가운데 자신을 책망하며, 자신의 잘못으로 인해 생긴 운명을 견딜만하게 만들기 위하여, 영의 성장을 이룰 수 있기 위해, 애쓰며 싸워야만 한다.
