Speaking gift and right application....

God has often denied the human being the gift of speech in order to make him small and humble, for an exceptionally well-developed gift of speech will usually also make the human being arrogant. It is also a work of the adversary that he often makes the eloquent person submissive to his will and then uses him as a representative of everything that is directed against God. For a good speaker will find considerably more followers than a person who lacks the words to make his opinion known. The man who lacks words, on the other hand, will usually think more deeply, and thus the pure truth will also be more easily recognized by him, while the eloquent man speaks more superficially about everything that moves him and, since he likes to hear himself speak, uses his eloquence to talk ramblingly about trivial matters, so that his speeches are of no particular value. A certain self-love is often to be found in such people, and therefore they will never accept other people's opinions, but will only be satisfied if their opinion is recognized. And that is why they talk incessantly, to please themselves, but without conveying anything of value to their fellow human beings. If they wanted to use their gift of oratory by speaking for the lord, spreading the teachings of Christ and helping erring souls onto the right path, then they would use God's gift properly and it would only bring blessings for humanity and for the speaker himself. But precisely such people want to hear little of this and are more willing to speak against what is God's will, for where self-love is represented there is a lack of realization of the truth and they are therefore of little faith, which is why they cannot represent with conviction what they themselves do not understand and therefore do not believe. And therefore God has to awaken people and give them the gift of speech so that they should stand up for Him and His name and confess God's activity in the world. And these will speak according to His will, they will fight with the sword of their mouth, and their gift of speech will convince people because arrogance no longer speaks from those proclaiming the divine will but their wisdom was received in deepest humility of heart. And so the value of the spoken word can be recognized by whether humility or arrogance speaks from the speaker, and the effect on fellow human beings will be accordingly. The blind and ignorant will accept the speech of the arrogant, but those who see, to whom the light of the spirit already shines, will recognize divine truth if it is offered to them by speakers who want to serve God. If a person wants to pass on the word of God to his fellow human beings he will be able to speak as if with the tongues of angels, the words will be put into his mouth, as it were, and he will be able to speak like the greatest speakers and represent what he speaks to people with full persuasiveness. And thus the gift of speech can serve to reproduce the adversary's whisperings, but it can also be a divine gift of grace in order to represent divine wisdom. And the characteristic of both speakers will be love for one's neighbour or self-love....

Le Don de la parole et de son juste emploi

Dieu a souvent refusé à l'homme le Don de parler, pour le faire devenir petit et modeste, parce qu'un Don de parler extraordinairement bien rendra l'homme presque toujours arrogant. Cela est une Œuvre de l'adversaire, parce que l'homme habile dans le parler est souvent docile à sa volonté et il l'emploie ensuite comme représentant de tout ce qui est tourné contre Dieu. Parce qu'un bon orateur trouvera beaucoup plus de disciples qu'un homme auquel il manque les mots pour annoncer son opinion. L'homme malhabile dans l’art de parler par contre sera presque toujours plus profond dans la pensée, et donc la Vérité sera plus facilement reconnue par celui-ci, tandis que l'homme éloquent parle plus superficiellement de tout ce qu’il pense et, vu qu’il s’écoute volontiers parler, il emploie son adresse de la parole pour parler abondamment de choses secondaires, donc ses paroles n'ont pas de valeur particulière. Dans de tels hommes on trouve souvent un certain amour propre, et donc ils ne laisseront jamais valoir l'opinion d'autres hommes, mais ils sont seulement satisfaits lorsque leur opinion est reconnue. Donc ils parlent continuellement pour leur propre joie, sans cependant transmettre au prochain avec cela quelque chose de précieux. S'ils voulaient employer leur Don de parler pour parler pour le Seigneur, pour répandre l'Enseignement du Christ et pour aider des âmes errantes à trouver la voie, alors ils utiliseraient bien le Don de Dieu, et cela apporterait des Bénédictions pour l'humanité et pour eux-mêmes. Mais vraiment de cela les hommes ne veulent rien savoir, ils sont plutôt disposés à parler contre ce qui est la Volonté de Dieu ; parce que là où est représenté l'amour propre, là il manque la connaissance de la Vérité, et donc ils sont peu croyant, donc ils ne peuvent pas présenter avec conviction ce qu'eux-mêmes ne comprennent pas, donc ils ne croient même pas. Et donc Dieu doit réveiller des hommes et leur offrir le Don de la parole pour qu'ils parlent pour Lui, s'emploient pour Son Nom et témoignent de l’Action de Dieu dans le monde. Et ceux-ci parleront selon Sa Volonté, ils combattront avec l'épée de leur bouche, et leur Don de parler convaincra les hommes parce qu'ils ne parleront plus avec arrogance lorsqu’ils annoncent la Volonté divine, et leur sagesse sera reçue dans la plus profonde humilité du cœur. Et on reconnaîtra la valeur de la Parole prononcée selon que chez l'orateur transparait l'humilité ou l'arrogance, et par conséquent cela aura le même l'effet sur le prochain. Les aveugles et les ignares accepteront le discours de l’arrogant, mais le voyant reconnaîtra la Vérité divine là où brille déjà la Lumière de l'esprit, si celle-ci lui est offerte par des orateurs qui veulent servir Dieu. Si l'homme veut répandre chez le prochain la Parole de Dieu, alors il pourra parler avec une langue d'Ange, car les mots lui seront mis dans la bouche, et il sera capable d’agencer les mots comme les plus grands orateurs et de présenter avec une totale Force de conviction ce qu'il dit aux hommes. Le don de parler peut servir à répéter les chuchotements de l'adversaire, mais il peut aussi être un Cadeau de la Grâce divine pour présenter des Sagesses divines. Et le signe de reconnaissance entre les deux orateurs sera l'amour pour le prochain ou bien l’amour-propre.
