The right and the wrong way....

The path to God is difficult for many people to pass because another path seems more appealing to them, i.e. the path they want to take seems to lead them to the right destination. However, they are unaware of the goal that has been set for them as human beings. And thus they strive for something that does not even remotely come close to the task they have been set for their earthly life. Their strength, their thoughts and endeavours are directed towards solving problems which are extremely unimportant for the salvation of the human being's soul. They are eagerly in favour of a violent transformation of existing laws, they grant all rights to one person while completely denying them to another, and they call this serving the nation. The last resistance to such reorganizations is to be broken by force, supposedly for the blessing of a nation. The right of free expression is taken away from those who think legally, and only those who endeavour to think in the same direction as those who are responsible for leading the masses are recognized. This direction is therefore decisive, and thus countless people are pushed onto a path that cannot be called the path to God. For this path has many stumbling blocks, it is not the path that leads over thorns and undergrowth but inevitably to the heights. It is a path that may seem to lead straight ahead, but which is always further away from the right goal, from the right knowledge of God. For anyone who wants to recognize God properly must acknowledge all His creatures.... He cannot grant one creature more right to live than another. Anyone who wants to recognize God correctly must regard everything in creation as His work and therefore not least also human beings, who are likewise His product and also have a purpose.... He must respect God's wisdom, which truly does not bring creatures into the world without a plan. It is therefore not up to people to determine the value of the individual, i.e. to present a certain class of people as valuable and the other as inferior in the eyes of the world and to make their decisions according to this attitude, which are completely contrary to God's will. The miscalculation consists of the fact that God Himself can intervene in every human destiny if He wants to; and He will also do so if people's actions take on such forms that there is great danger of completely overlooking the right path to God if the wrong path is taken by all those who deem themselves clever and wise.... and those are ridiculed who choose the narrow path to God in right realization.... Then God Himself will express Himself and His voice will also be heard by those who walk the wrong path, so that they can now decide to leave it and enter the right path which leads upwards.... to God....

옳은 길과 잘못된 길.

하나님을 향한 길은 많은 사람들에게 가기가 어려운 길이다. 왜냐하면 다른 길이 그들에게 더 매력적으로 보이기 때문이다. 다시 말해 그들이 가기를 원하는 길이 그들을 올바른 목표로 인도하는 것처럼 보이기 때문이다. 그러나 그들은 인간으로서 그들에게 어떤 목표가 설정되어 있는 지를 알지 못한다. 그러므로 그들은 이 땅의 삶을 위해 설정된 과제에 전혀 근접하지 않는 일을 위해 노력한다. 그들의 힘과, 생각과, 노력은 인간 혼의 구원에 매우 중요하지 않은 문제를 해결하는 일로 향한다.

그들은 기존의 법을 강제로 바꾸는 일을 위해 모든 열의로 자신을 드린다. 그들은 한 사람에게 모든 권리를 부여하고, 반면에 이웃 사람에게는 모든 권리를 완전하게 부인하고, 이를 국가에 봉사하는 일이라고 부르고, 그런 기존의 법을 바꾸는 일에 반대하는 마지막 저항은 소위 사람들의 축복을 위해 폭력적으로 다스려져야 한다. 공의롭게 생각하는 사람의 표현의 자유는 박탈을 당하고, 단지 대중을 이끄는 책임이 있는 사람과 같은 방향으로 생각하려고 노력하는 사람들이 인정을 받는다.

그러므로 그런 방향이 결정적이고, 수많은 사람이 이 길로 가도록 재촉을 받는다. 그러나 이 길은 하나님의 길이라고 할 수 없는 길이다. 이 길은 걸림돌이 많기 때문이다. 이 길은 가시와 덤불을 건너는 길이지만, 그러나 필연적으로 위로 인도하는 길이 아니다. 이 길은 곧 바로 인도하는 길처럼 보이지만, 올바른 목표와 하나님에 대한 올바른 지식에서 계속해서 벗어나는 길이다. 왜냐하면 하나님을 올바르게 알기를 원하는 사람은 모든 하나님의 피조물들을 인정해야만 하기 때문이다. 그는 한 피조물에게 다른 피조물보다 더 많은 살 권리를 부여할 수 없다.

하나님을 올바르게 깨닫기 원하는 사람은 창조의 모든 창조물을 그의 작품으로 생각해야만 한다. 따라서 그의 작품이고 사명을 가진 사람도 마찬가지이다. 그는 진실로 계획이 없이 창조물을 세상에 두지 않는 하나님의 지혜를 존중해야만 한다. 따라서 각각의 사람의 가치를 결정하는 일은 사람에게 허용되어 있지 않다. 다시 말해 특정 인류를 가치 있는 것으로, 다른 인류를 모든 세상 앞에 열등한 인류로 치부하고, 이런 관점으로 이제 전적으로 하나님의 뜻에 어긋나는 그들의 법규를 제정하는 일은 허용된 일이 아니다.

잘못 계산된 실수는 하나님이 원할 경우, 하나님 자신이 인간의 모든 결정에 개입할 수 있다는 데에 있다. 사람들의 조치가 하나님의 옳은 길을 온전히 간과할 수 있는 큰 위험이 있는 그런 형태를 취한다면, 그는 개입을 할 것이다. 자신이 현명하고, 지혜롭다고 생각하는 모든 사람들이 잘못된 길을 택하고, 올바른 깨달음으로 하느님께 가는 좁은 길을 선택하는 사람들을 비웃는다면, 하나님 자신이 자신을 표현할 것이고, 그의 음성이 잘못된 길을 걷는 사람들에게도 들리게 될 것이다. 이로써 그들이 이제 그 길을 떠나, 위를 인도하는, 하나님께 인도하는, 올바른 길로 들어서는 결정을 할 수 있다.
