Acceptance and understanding of the doctrine of salvation....

It remains a futile endeavour to try to make the meaning of the work of redemption clear to the world, for anyone who desires the world and only gives it his attention, his thoughts and desires, will never have an understanding of anything spiritual. The work of redemption, however, is a purely spiritual matter, for it only touches the life of the human soul. The worldly man, however, has little regard for the life of his soul, he only has the well-being of his body in mind and all his endeavours are only aimed at increasing earthly goods and earthly pleasures. Trying to make him understand the value and meaning of the work of redemption is unsuccessful because he lives without faith. Worldly life and spiritual endeavour are completely separate. Worldly endeavour is the will turned towards God's adversary, spiritual endeavour testifies to the desire for God. The adversary of God will never lead his followers to the divine saviour, rather he will do everything to keep the knowledge of the work of redemption away from them, thus influencing them to reject it. Only when a person learns to despise the world and its goods does he occupy his thoughts with the divine redeemer and come closer to the question of God's incarnation. And it will always be faith in Jesus Christ where the world has lost its appeal, where it appears to man as a vain dazzle and is therefore despised. For the thought of redemption can only take hold in the human heart when this heart is free from earthly desires, when it seriously concerns itself with spiritual things, when the state of the soul worries the person, when he therefore wants to bring help to the soul. Only then does the meaning of the work of redemption become understandable to him, only then does he want to make use of the grace of the work of redemption, and he now consciously seeks contact with the divine saviour, presents all his sins to Him, asks Him for forgiveness of his guilt and commends himself to Him and His grace. Then he has turned away from God's adversary and his will consciously strives towards the divine saviour and redeemer....

L’accettazione e la comprensione della Dottrina della Redenzione

Rimane un’impresa senza successo, voler rendere chiaro al mondo il senso dell’Opera di Redenzione, perché chi desidera il mondo e dona soltanto a lui la sua attenzione, i suoi sensi ed il suo tendere, non avrà mai una comprensione per qualcosa di spirituale. L’Opera di Redenzione però è una faccenda puramente spirituale, perché tocca soltanto la vita dell’anima dell’uomo. L’uomo mondano pensa poco alla vita della sua anima, ha in mente soltanto il benessere del corpo, e tutto il suo tendere è orientato solamente ad aumentare i beni e godimenti terreni. Voler rendere comprensibile a lui il valore ed il senso dell’Opera di Redenzione è senza successo, perché vive anche alla giornata senza fede. La vita terrena ed il tendere spirituale percorrono vie del tutto separate. Il tendere mondano è la volontà rivolta all’avversario di Dio, il tendere spirituale testimonia il desiderio per Dio. L’avversario di Dio non guiderà mai i suoi seguaci al Redentore divino, egli fa piuttosto di tutto per tener loro lontano il sapere sull’Opera di Redenzione, quindi di influenzarli a rifiutarla. Solo quando l’uomo impara a disdegnare il mondo ed i suoi beni, si occupa nei pensieri con il Redentore divino e si avvicina alla Questione della Divenuta Uomo di Dio. E la fede in Gesù Cristo sarà sempre là, dove il mondo ha perduto il suo fascino, dove all’uomo gli appare come semplice opera d’abbaglio e perciò viene disprezzato. Perché il pensiero della Redenzione può prendere posto nel cuore umano solamente, quando questo cuore è libero da desideri terreni, quando si occupa seriamente con cose spirituali, quando lo stato dell’anima dà all’uomo la preoccupazione, quindi vorrebbe portare l’aiuto all’anima. Solo allora gli diventa comprensibile il senso dell’Opera di Redenzione, allora vorrebbe avvalersi delle Grazie dell’Opera di Redenzione, ed ora cerca coscientemente il collegamento con il divino Redentore, Gli presenta tutti i suoi peccato, Gli domanda Perdono per la sua colpa e si raccomanda a Lui ed alla Sua Grazia. Allora si è allontanato dall’avversario di Dio, e la sua volontà tende coscientemente incontro al divino Salvatore e Redentore.
