Work of the Spirit.... power from God....

Only in this way can the work of the spirit be understood, that man imagines a power that is active in him. He must make a distinction between the way the spirit works and the way the soul works. The soul is the breath of life, and every body will live if the soul dwells in it. However, it can lead a life with this soul which could be called mechanical, as it were.... that the body certainly carries out all functions which are necessary for life on earth, which it therefore could not do without the soul.... Yet it does so without any connection with God.... It only uses the ability to live received from God, yet not for God but exclusively for itself and for God's opposing power.... He has previously consciously requested his earthly life from God for the purpose of approaching Him but has now not fulfilled this purpose, however, he has fully utilized the soul's activity. He did not request the power from God.... the divine spirit.... which is the only way to approach God. He has ignored the divine spark that was given to him as God's most precious gift.... The spirit of love.... the divine in man was not active, and thus the spiritual spark was not awakened to life, and the power from God could not be transmitted to man. God cannot reveal Himself to man in the spirit.... the connection with God has not been established, so the rapprochement cannot take place.... it is not possible to bridge the separation as long as the spirit from God is not active in the human being. The spirit from God is the power of God.... A person can be alive and yet dead if spiritual rebirth has not taken place.... Contact with God must be sought.... through active love for the neighbour the divine in him must be brought to awakening, and then the spirit out of God will be active in man.... It will influence the soul to subordinate all thinking, doing and willing to this spirit within itself; the soul will no longer take the body's desires into account but will listen solely to the divine spirit within itself; God Himself will now express Himself. The spirit from God is placed into every human being, yet not every person utilizes this most precious thing within himself, and then his life on earth remains a failed one and has not brought the being any progress, for without awakening the spirit from God within himself the unification with the father-spirit cannot take place, which, however, is the only purpose in earthly life....

Wirken des Geistes.... Kraft aus Gott....

Nur so ist das Wirken des Geistes zu verstehen, daß sich der Mensch eine Kraft vorstelle, die in ihm tätig ist. Er muß einen Unterschied machen in der Art und Weise der Tätigkeit des Geistes und der der Seele. Es ist die Seele der Lebensodem, und es wird jeder Körper leben, so in ihm die Seele wohnt. Er kann jedoch mit dieser Seele ein Leben führen, das gleichsam mechanisch genannt werden könnte.... daß der Körper wohl alle Funktionen verrichtet, die zum Erdenleben erforderlich sind, was er ohne die Seele also nicht könnte.... Doch er tut das ohne jeglichen Zusammenhang mit Gott.... Er nützet nur die von Gott erhaltene Lebensfähigkeit, doch nicht für Gott, sondern ausschließlich für sich und Gott entgegengesinnter Macht.... Er hat sein Erdenleben zuvor bewußt angefordert von Gott zum Zweck der Annäherung an Ihn, aber nun diesen Zweck nicht erfüllt, jedoch die Tätigkeit der Seele vollauf in Anspruch genommen. Er hat nicht die Kraft aus Gott.... den göttlichen Geist.... angefordert, der die einzige Möglichkeit zur Annäherung zu Gott ist. Er hat den göttlichen Funken, der ihm ward als köstlichste Gabe Gottes, unbeachtet gelassen.... Der Liebegeist.... das Göttliche im Menschen, war nicht tätig, und somit wurde der Geistesfunke nicht zum Leben erweckt, und es konnte nicht die Kraft aus Gott dem Menschen übermittelt werden. Es kann Sich Gott nicht dem Menschen im Geist offenbaren.... es ist die Verbindung nicht hergestellt mit Gott, also kann auch die Annäherung nicht stattfinden.... es ist keine Möglichkeit, die Trennung zu überbrücken, solange der Geist aus Gott im Menschen nicht tätig ist. Der Geist aus Gott ist Kraft Gottes.... Es kann der Mensch leben und doch tot sein, so nicht die geistige Wiedergeburt stattgefunden hat.... Es muß die Fühlung mit Gott gesucht werden.... es muß durch tätige Liebe zum Nächsten das Göttliche in ihm zum Erwachen gebracht werden, und es wird sodann der Geist aus Gott im Menschen tätig sein.... Er wird die Seele beeinflussen, alles Denken, Tun und Wollen diesem Geist in sich zu unterordnen; es wird die Seele nicht mehr dem Verlangen des Körpers Rechnung tragen, sondern einzig und allein auf den göttlichen Geist in sich horchen; es wird nun Gott Selbst Sich äußern. Es ist der Geist aus Gott in jeden Menschen hineingelegt, jedoch nicht jeder Mensch nützet dieses Köstlichste in sich, und dann bleibt sein Leben auf Erden ein verfehltes und hat dem Wesen keinen Fortschritt gebracht, denn ohne den Geist aus Gott in sich zu erwecken, kann die Einigung mit dem Vatergeist nicht stattfinden, die jedoch der einzige Zweck im Erdenleben ist....
