Language....

Throughout the ages man's language has been the form of expression of his thinking, and man uses it in order to convey the result of his thinking to his fellow human beings. The wise creator has given them the means to connect people with each other, and at the same time He has given them the opportunity to formulate all mental activity through these means in order to allow fellow human beings to participate in every spiritual experience. At a certain stage of his development this gift is denied to him, but at the same time the ability to think is still undeveloped, and therefore both will only have the right value when they complement each other, i.e. when language can simply and clearly express what moves a person's thoughts. It is God's will that the human being has to make use of language for mutual understanding, for he shall thereby be offered the opportunity to influence his fellow human being and to explain his mental activity to him, and all people shall thereby receive the blessing of mental activity.... in that something can be imparted to them which their own thoughts have not yet awakened in them. For thoughts are again left up to people.... they can be good and also evil and thus also have a correspondingly good or evil effect on fellow human beings if this thought material is conveyed to them through language. And it will therefore be understandable how precisely language is an important factor in earthly existence.... how everything that is offered to people first becomes understandable to them through language.... and how without language the whole of life would touch people far more monotonously and without the linguistic transmission each person would only live his life for himself alone as there would be no possibility to inform other people of his own feelings.... no utterances would reach people, and the community among them would be far more endangered, for everyone would be occupied exclusively with his own thoughts, without realizing that each person is capable of thinking differently.... This becomes all the more understandable when one considers that the human being is always and constantly working out some thoughts and that countless thoughts would therefore vanish into nothing again if they did not want to make their way to their fellow human beings through language and thus stimulate mental activity there again and constantly give birth to new thoughts.... And therefore language as a gift of God cannot be valued highly enough, for it primarily enables a lively spiritual exchange for spiritual seekers and is the reason that the spiritually active person can rise up considerably more easily, for he can be offered regular instruction from all sides in many ways, and again it is only the human being's will, to believingly accept the spiritual knowledge imparted to him through language and thus to ascend, which would be incomparably more difficult for him without this divine favour and would therefore take an exceptionally long time if the human being were to reach the state of maturity of his soul without such mediation of thoughts. For since eternity divine love and wisdom has only endeavoured to make the earthly beings' ascent as easy as possible and therefore gave them the grace of being allowed to use language in order to make the path upwards easier for each other....

Le langage

Depuis des temps inimaginables le langage de l'homme a été la forme d'expression de sa pensée et l'homme s'en est servi pour transmettre au prochain le résultat de sa pensée. Le sage Créateur lui a donné dans la main un outil qui doit unir les hommes réciproquement, et en même temps Il lui a donné la possibilité de formuler au travers de cet outil toute activité mentale pour faire participer le prochain à chaque vicissitude spirituelle. A un certain stade de son développement ce Don lui est interdit, mais en même temps la faculté de penser est encore sous-développée en lui, et les deux choses auront ensuite seulement leur juste valeur lorsqu’elles se compléteront réciproquement, c'est-à-dire lorsque la langue pourra exprimer simplement et clairement ce que l’homme pense mentalement. Que l'homme doive se servir du langage pour la compréhension réciproque, c’est la Volonté de Dieu, parce qu'avec cela il lui est offert l'occasion d'agir sur le prochain et de lui transmettre sa propre activité mentale, et avec cela tous les hommes doivent arriver à la Bénédiction de l'activité mentale, et ainsi il peut être transmis quelque chose que les pensées n'ont pas encore réveillé en lui, parce que les pensées des hommes sont libres, elles peuvent être bonnes ou même mauvaises et donc agir respectivement bien ou mal sur le prochain lorsque ce patrimoine mental est transmis au travers du langage. Et par conséquent il est compréhensible que vraiment le langage est un facteur important dans l'existence terrestre, comme tout ce qui est offert aux hommes, car sans le langage toute la vie toucherait les hommes d’une manière monotone, et sans la transmission verbale chacun vivrait sa vie seulement pour lui-même, vu qu’il n'existerait aucune possibilité de porter à la connaissance des autres hommes son sentiment, il n'arriverait aucune expression aux hommes, et la vie en communauté serait très menacée, parce que chacun s'occuperait exclusivement avec ses pensées, sans savoir que chaque homme est capable de penser autrement. Cela devient bien compréhensible seulement si on pense que l'homme élabore toujours et continuellement quelque pensée et que donc d’innombrables pensées disparaîtraient dans rien si elles ne pouvaient pas trouver la voie vers le prochain au travers du langage et cela stimulaient ensuite de nouveau une activité mentale qui générerait toujours de nouvelles pensées. Et donc le langage comme Don de Dieu n’est pas considéré avec assez de valeur, parce qu'en premier lieu il rend possible à un chercheur spirituel un échange spirituel et c’est pourquoi l'homme qui vit spirituellement peut lutter beaucoup plus facilement pour arriver en haut, parce que de partout il peut lui être offert sous de multiples formes une instruction régulière, et c’est à nouveau seulement à la volonté de l'homme d’accueillir avec foi ce qui est transmis comme patrimoine spirituel à travers le langage, et ainsi d’arriver en haut, chose qui sans cette facilité divine lui serait incomparablement difficile et donc demanderait un temps extraordinairement long si l'homme devait atteindre l'état de maturité de son âme sans une telle possibilité de transmettre ses pensées. Parce que l'Amour et la Sagesse divine cherchent depuis l'Éternité à rendre aux êtres terrestres leurs remontée le plus facile possible, et donc ils ont donné cette Grâce de pouvoir employer le langage pour se rendre réciproquement plus facile la montée vers le Haut.
