L’auto superamento – La volontà rafforzata - L’Opera di Redenzione di Cristo

Prima della morte sulla Croce di Cristo l’avversario di Dio ha avuto un gran potere sulla volontà dell’uomo, e questo potere si manifestava nel modo che gli uomini non erano in grado di condurre un cammino di vita nell’amore, se non erano collegati in un modo straordinariamente intimo con Dio. Le tentazioni tramite il mondo erano sempre troppo grandi e debole la loro volontà di resisterle. Questa è ancora oggi la sua arma, ma l’avversario di Dio cerca di indebolire la volontà degli uomini attraverso le gioie del mondo ed ha pieno successo presso coloro che confidano nella loro propria forza, che credono di non aver bisogno di un Aiuto dall’Alto, che non credono in Gesù Cristo e la Sua Opera di Redenzione e perciò non chiedono a Lui la Sua Grazia, il Suo Aiuto, che apporta loro una volontà rafforzata.

Senza Gesù Cristo gli uomini sono ancora totalmente sotto il suo potere, dal quale non sono in grado di liberarsi, a meno che non invochino Dio per l’Assistenza, ma allora impareranno anche presto a riconoscere il significato dell’Opera di Redenzione e Gesù Cristo Stesso come il Salvatore dell’intera umanità, ed allora approfitteranno anche coscientemente delle Grazie dell’Opera di Redenzione. La via verso l’Alto sarà per loro più leggera, perché dov’è la volontà, c’è anche la Forza per lo svolgimento.

Ma la volontà indebolita ha soltanto la forza di svolgere delle cose che conducono nell’abisso, e questa forza giunge a loro dal basso, cioè utilizza la forza vitale per azioni cattive, ed il rafforzamento di questa forza gli viene apportato dall’avversario di Dio. Quindi l’uomo con la volontà debole non è in unione con Dio, ma con il Suo avversario, e non può liberarsi dal legame dell’ultimo, se non invoca Dio per l’Aiuto, che gli viene concesso come Grazia dell’Opera di Redenzione di Gesù Cristo. Di conseguenza il riconoscimento dell’Opera di Redenzione deve essere la prima condizione, altrimenti l’uomo non può servirsi di questa Grazia.

Nella fede dell’Opera di Redenzione l’uomo può svolgere delle cose grandi, perché la sua volontà sperimenterà una fortificazione che lo rende capace di fare tutto,se crede profondamente, perché la forza di volontà che Gesù Cristo possedeva in ultramisura, gli si comunica, può liberarsi dal potere dell’avversario, può tendere verso Dio, senza venir strappato indietro da quel potere. E lui raggiunge la sua meta, persino quando numerose tentazioni gli rendono difficile il suo tendere, ma lui presta resistenza, perché la sua volontà è forte e di conseguenza anche l’apporto di Forza che Gesù Cristo ha conquistato tramite la Sua morte sulla Croce per gli uomini, che credono in Lui e approfittano coscientemente delle Grazie dell’Opera di Redenzione.

Self-overcoming.... strengthened will.... Christ's act of salvation....

Before Christ's crucifixion God's adversary had great power over the human being's will, and this power manifested itself in the fact that people were not able to live a life of love unless they were exceptionally intimately united with God. The temptations of the world were always too great and their will too weak to resist them. This is his weapon even now, that God's adversary seeks to weaken people's will through the pleasures of the world, and he is completely successful with those who trust in their own strength, who don't believe they need help from above, who don't believe in Jesus Christ and His act of salvation and therefore don't ask Him for His grace, for His help, which earns them increased will. Without Jesus Christ people are still completely under His control from which they are unable to release themselves unless they sincerely call upon God for help, but then they will also soon learn to recognize the significance of the act of salvation and Jesus Christ Himself as saviour of the whole of humanity, and then they will also consciously avail themselves of the blessings of the act of salvation. The path of ascent will become easy for them, for where there is the will there is also the strength to accomplish.... But the weakened will only has the strength to do things which lead to the abyss, and this strength comes to it from below, i.e., it uses the vitality for bad deeds, and the strengthening of this vitality is supplied to it by God's adversary. Thus the weak-willed human being is not in union with God but with His adversary, and he cannot free himself from the latter's spell unless he appeals to God for help, which is granted to him as a grace of Jesus Christ's act of salvation. Consequently, the recognition of the act of salvation must be the first condition, otherwise the human being cannot avail himself of this grace. In faith in the act of salvation the human being can accomplish great things, for his will will experience a strengthening which enables him to do anything if he deeply believes, for the strength of will, which Jesus Christ possessed in abundance, communicates itself to him, he can liberate himself from the adversary's power, he can strive towards God without being pulled back by this power. And he reaches his aim even if numerous temptations make his striving more difficult, but he resists them because his will is strong and accordingly also the supply of strength which Jesus Christ acquired through His death on the cross for people who believe in Him and consciously avail themselves of the blessings of the act of salvation....
