L’istruzione da Dio o dagli uomini - L’arroganza spirituale

E’ una certa arroganza spirituale, quando l’uomo si crede sapiente, colui che non è stato istruito da Dio. Il sapere che ha ricevuto da uomini, è quasi sempre il risultato del pensare d’intelletto sotto l’impiego di insegnamenti costruiti e questo sapere può corrispondere alla Verità, se quegli insegnamenti hanno per origine l’agire dello spirito nell’uomo. Tali insegnamenti sembreranno anche sempre Verità per gli uomini che attraverso il loro cammino di vita sono nuovamente messi nella condizione che permette l’agire dello spirito in loro. Ma se questo agire dello spirito è diventato impossibile attraverso il non adempimento delle condizioni che sono la premessa per l’agire dello spirito nell’uomo, alla pura Verità viene mescolato l’errore, perché allora l’uomo libera l’accesso anche a quelle forze che lottano contro la Verità. Ma anche allora l’uomo si crede di stare nella Verità e sosterrà con convinzione ciò che ora non è più la pura Verità, ma errore attraverso l’agire dell’avversario di Dio. Se quest’uomo stesso fosse illuminato dallo spirito da Dio, allora dovrebbe riconoscere dove inizia l’agire dell’avversario e rifiutare assolutamente ciò che non è l’agire dello spirito divino nell’uomo. Ma non potrà sostituire l’agire dello spirito con la sola ricerca intellettuale, cosa che però crede e questo è orgoglio spirituale, è arroganza spirituale che impedisce di nuovo di penetrare nella Verità. Ma l’uomo mette quasi sempre il pensare d’intelletto al di sopra dell’agire dello spirito e quindi non si lascerà mai convincere che quest’ultimo sia unicamente garanzia per la pura Verità e valuterà più alto il sapere di coloro che hanno accolto il patrimonio spirituale e loro stessi cercano di sondarlo intellettualmente. Il pensare d’intelletto non è mai da mettere alla pari dell’agire dello spirito, perché c’è sempre l’agire umano in contrasto con l’agire divino, che comprensibilmente dev’essere valutato del tutto diversamente. Ma finché l’uomo non riconosce l’agire dello spirito, non gli può nemmeno essere dato un perfetto chiarimento su questioni che riguardano l’Eternità. Perché a tali non può mai rispondere l’uomo, ma bensì lo spirito da Dio, che si annuncia all’uomo e gli spiega le cose che si sottraggono totalmente al sapere umano ed all’intelletto umano. Lo spirito da Dio però non erra mai e non può nemmeno mai essere spiegato con l’agire di forze cattive, per cui un sapere conquistato attraverso l’agire dello spirito supera indubbiamente il sapere d’intelletto e che è l’unica garanzia per la pura Verità.

Instruction from God or from men.... spiritual arrogance....

It is a certain spiritual arrogance when a person who has not been taught by God believes himself to be knowledgeable. The knowledge he has received from people is mostly the result of intellectual thought using established teachings and this knowledge can correspond to the truth if these teachings originate from the working of the spirit in the human being. Such teachings will also always appear as truth to people who, through their way of life, bring themselves back into a state which also allows the working of the spirit in them.... However, as soon as the latter has become impossible due to the non-fulfilment of the conditions which are a prerequisite for the working of the spirit in the human being, the pure truth will be interspersed with error, because then the human being will also allow those forces which fight against the truth access to himself. But then the person will likewise believe himself to be in the truth and will stand up with conviction for what is no longer pure truth but error due to the work of God's adversary. If this person were enlightened by the spirit of God himself, he would have to recognize where the adversary's activity begins and thus he would have to absolutely reject that which is not divine spiritual activity. Yet he will not be able to replace the working of the spirit with intellectual enquiry alone, which he nevertheless believes, and this is spiritual arrogance, this is spiritual arrogance which again prevents him from penetrating the truth. However, the human being usually places intellectual thinking above the working of the spirit, and thus he will never allow himself to be convinced that the latter alone is the guarantee for pure truth, and he will value the knowledge of those more highly who have adopted spiritual knowledge and try to fathom it intellectually themselves. Intellectual thought can never be equated with the working of the spirit, for it is always human working in contrast to divine working, which understandably has to be assessed quite differently. But as long as man does not recognize the working of the spirit, he cannot be given complete enlightenment about questions concerning eternity. For man can never answer such questions, but the spirit from God can, which makes itself known to man and explains to him the things which are completely beyond human knowledge and human intellect. The spirit from God, however, never errs and can also never be explained by the working of evil forces, which is why knowledge gained through the working of the spirit indisputably surpasses intellectual knowledge and is the only guarantee of pure truth....
