Influence of matter on humans....

Directed matter exerts great influence on the human being insofar as the spiritual bound in it urges him to unite with it, which therefore has the effect of the human being's desire for its possession. The spiritual bound in matter pushes itself into the human being's love.... it seeks to make itself indispensable to him, it strives to unite with the human being because it thereby feels stronger in its resistance against God. For it also senses the resistance the human being still has against God, or it pushes towards people who still resist God in their immaturity. And these people are also easily influenced. They themselves have the greatest desire for matter, and thus like-minded things come together which are only on different levels of development. But the human being is in danger of sinking from his already higher level of development if he chains himself to matter, which is why he cannot be warned enough to strive for matter and is constantly admonished to overcome it. The spiritual in matter can indeed also be willing to serve and help the human being in his ascent development, just as conversely the human being can help the spiritual bound in matter to ascend. But then it concerns objects of use which do not kindle the human being's greed for possession, thus do not awaken the wrong love in the human being for material possessions. As soon as matter serves the human being the resistance against God is already broken; but matter which does not fulfil a serving purpose will often awaken an increased desire in the human being to possess it, and it is this matter which is regarded as a danger for the human being's soul, for its influence on the soul is great and can have such an effect that the soul itself sinks to the stage where it is embodied in matter again. Then the bound spiritual has achieved what it wanted.... it has drawn the free spiritual down to itself and, as it were, strengthened its own power.... the human being has fallen prey to the influence of God's adversary, who has influenced his will to use it in the wrong direction, who constantly presents dead matter to him in order to persuade him to relapse, because thereby he increases his kingdom, his power and violence and it stimulates the God-hostile beings into constant resistance. What turns towards God is lost to him, and this he tries to thwart with all means. Matter itself, i.e. the spiritual bound in it, is still in bondage to him in its immaturity, although God's adversary cannot have a determining effect on the spiritual. But since the spiritual itself has not given up its resistance to God, it also pushes towards people who are in the same resistance, who are pointed to matter by God's adversary, to whom he puts matter before the eye as a lure of the world. The human being can evade this influence or resist it with his will, yet he often uses the freedom of his will wrongly and gives in to the urge of the enemy of his soul. For this reason the battle against matter is the actual battle the human being should wage in earthly life, for once he has overcome it his ascent is also assured, because then there will be nothing holding him back on earth and then his soul can soar into spiritual spheres, because then nothing will hinder its flight upwards and thus there will no longer be any danger, and at the same time the human being then helps the spiritual substance in matter to ascend, which he uses, and thereby helps it to be of service, whereby the spiritual substance in matter can release itself from every form until it has finally also reached the last stage and can serve as a human being in free will....

Influência da matéria nos seres humanos....

A matéria dirigida exerce grande influência sobre o ser humano na medida em que o seu vínculo espiritual o impele a unir-se a ela, o que tem portanto o efeito do desejo do ser humano pela sua posse. O limite espiritual na matéria empurra-se para o amor do ser humano.... Procura tornar-se indispensável para ele, esforça-se por se unir ao ser humano porque assim se sente mais forte na sua resistência contra Deus. Pois também sente a resistência que o ser humano ainda tem contra Deus, ou empurra para pessoas que ainda resistem a Deus na sua imaturidade. E estas pessoas também são facilmente influenciadas. Eles próprios têm o maior desejo pela matéria, e assim as coisas semelhantes juntam-se e só se encontram em diferentes níveis de desenvolvimento. Mas o ser humano corre o risco de se afundar do seu já elevado nível de desenvolvimento se ele próprio se acorrentar à matéria, razão pela qual não pode ser suficientemente avisado para lutar pela matéria e é constantemente admoestado a ultrapassá-la. O espiritual na matéria também pode, de facto, estar disposto a servir e ajudar o ser humano no seu desenvolvimento ascendente, tal como, inversamente, o ser humano pode ajudar o espiritual na matéria a ascender. Mas depois diz respeito a objectos de uso que não acendem a ganância do ser humano pela posse, não despertando assim o amor errado no ser humano pelos bens materiais. Assim que a matéria serve ao ser humano, a resistência contra Deus já está quebrada; mas a matéria que não cumpre um propósito de serviço despertará frequentemente um desejo crescente no ser humano de a possuir, e é esta matéria que é considerada um perigo para a alma do ser humano, pois a sua influência na alma é grande e pode ter um efeito tal que a própria alma afunda até ao ponto em que é novamente encarnada na matéria. Então o espiritual vinculado conseguiu o que queria.... o ser humano tem atraído para si o livre espiritual e, por assim dizer, fortalecido o seu próprio poder.... o ser humano tem caído vítima da influência do adversário de Deus, que tem influenciado a sua vontade de o usar na direcção errada, que constantemente lhe apresenta matéria morta a fim de o persuadir a recair, porque assim aumenta o seu reino, o seu poder e violência e estimula os seres hostis a Deus em constante resistência. O que se volta para Deus perde-se para ele, e isto ele tenta frustrar com todos os meios. A própria matéria, ou seja, o seu vínculo espiritual, ainda lhe está em cativeiro na sua imaturidade, embora o adversário de Deus não possa ter um efeito determinante sobre o espiritual. Mas como o próprio espiritual não desistiu da sua resistência a Deus, empurra também para pessoas que se encontram na mesma resistência, que são apontadas à matéria pelo adversário de Deus, a quem ele coloca a matéria à frente dos olhos como uma isca do mundo. O ser humano pode escapar a esta influência ou resistir a ela com a sua vontade, no entanto, usa frequentemente a liberdade da sua vontade erradamente e cede ao impulso do inimigo da sua alma. Por esta razão, a batalha contra a matéria é a verdadeira batalha que o ser humano deve travar na vida terrena, pois uma vez ultrapassada a sua ascensão também está assegurada, pois então nada o deterá na terra e então a sua alma poderá elevar-se para as esferas espirituais, pois então nada impedirá o seu voo para cima e assim não haverá mais perigo, e, ao mesmo tempo, o ser humano ajuda então a substância espiritual na matéria a ascender, que ele usa, e assim ajuda-a a ser útil, pelo que a substância espiritual na matéria pode libertar-se de todas as formas até que finalmente também tenha chegado à última fase e possa servir como ser humano no livre arbítrio...._>Ámen
