God's love and mercy in the last time before the end....

God's great love and mercy will evidently become apparent in the last days before the end when the believers will live in hardest tribulation. It will be a time of most bitter hardship for people who want to remain faithful to Him, for the adversary will take drastic measures against anyone who stands up for his faith and for Jesus Christ and His teaching. The measures taken to enforce faithlessness will be of such severity that people will offer little resistance and almost without exception profess themselves against God. But those who know the truth, who live in love and therefore also in the right knowledge of God, who call upon Jesus Christ as redeemer for His help, will also recognise in the measures the one who is announced as the Antichrist for the last time before the end. And for this reason, they will stand all the firmer and wait full of confidence for God's help and His coming, and they will not be disappointed either. God's great love will be revealed to them, for He is close to them at all times, so that even the unbelievers would be able to recognise Him if they were not of bad will and therefore completely under the sway of Satan. Yet anyone who is still weak and not completely apostate will still be seized by God's mercy, and he will be offered many proofs of divine activity so that it will be made easy for him to believe and to withstand all threats from the world. Only good will must not be lacking, then God's hand will reach out to him even in the last hour. It is difficult to predict to people what will happen in this time, because Satan continues to work out new plans and outdoes himself with cruelties, inhuman decrees and shameful actions against the believers. The believers' fate is apparently unbearable and yet they will draw so much strength from God that they will be able to endure all oppression and not to feel the hardship as much because their gaze is directed heavenwards and the world and earthly things no longer tempt them. Moreover, they hear the voice of the Lord.... they know that He shortens the days, for His promise has given them comfort, and thus they every day expect to be delivered from earthly adversity.... And yet the last day still comes as a surprise even to them; it will come when there is no longer any possibility of winning souls, and this will be the case very quickly, for the separation will soon be completed, the courage of people's conviction is only slight, and the decision for or against God will be demanded in a short time, and therefore it will also be the prelude to the end, for the tribulation to which the believers are now subject calls for God's help, otherwise the small flock of His Own would also be overcome by weakness and God would never allow this to happen again.... And thus He will come as Saviour in utmost adversity and take His Own to Himself.... And then comes the Judgment as it is proclaimed in word and scripture....

Gods Liefde en Erbarmen in de laatste tijd voor het einde

Gods grote Liefde en Erbarmen zal duidelijk aan het licht komen in de laatste tijd voor het einde, waarin de gelovigen in de meest benarde toestand leven. Het zal een tijd zijn van bitterste nood voor de mensen die Hem trouw willen blijven, want de tegenstander zal rigoureus optreden tegen iedereen die voor zijn geloof en voor Jezus Christus en Zijn leer opkomt. De maatregelen die worden getroffen om het ongeloof door te drijven, zullen zo scherp zijn, dat de mensen weinig weerstand bieden en bijna uitsluitend zullen verklaren tegen God te zijn.

Maar zij die bekend zijn met de waarheid, die in liefde leven en daarom ook in het juiste Godsbesef, die Jezus Christus als Verlosser aanroepen om Zijn bijstand, dezen zullen in de maatregelen ook diegene herkennen, die als antichrist is aangekondigd voor de laatste tijd voor het einde. En ze zullen daarom des te standvastiger zijn en in vol vertrouwen wachten op Gods hulp en op Zijn komst. En dezen zullen ook niet worden teleurgesteld. Gods grote Liefde zal hun duidelijk worden, want Hij is hen te allen tijde nabij, zodat ook de ongelovigen Hem zouden kunnen herkennen, als ze niet van slechte wil en daarom geheel in de macht van satan zouden zijn.

Maar wie nog zwak is en niet geheel van God afvallig, die pakt de Erbarmen Gods nog vast en er worden hem veel bewijzen geboden van het goddelijk werkzaam zijn, zodat het hem gemakkelijk wordt gemaakt te geloven en stand te houden tegen alle bedreigingen door de wereld. Alleen de goede wil mag niet ontbreken, dan zal Gods Hand zich nog in het laatste uur naar hem uitstrekken.

Wat er in deze tijd gebeurt, is de mensen moeilijk te voorspellen. Want steeds weer bedenkt de satan nieuwe plannen en overtreft hij zichzelf in wreedheden, in onmenselijke maatregelen en schandalige handelingen tegen de gelovigen. Schijnbaar is het lot van de gelovigen ondraaglijk en toch zullen ze zoveel Kracht van God betrekken, dat ze al het moeilijke kunnen verdragen en de nood niet zo voelen, omdat hun blik op de hemel is gericht en de wereld en het aardse hen niet meer lokt. Tevens horen ze de Stem van de Heer. Ze weten dat Hij de dagen zal verkorten, want Zijn belofte heeft hun de troost gegeven en dus rekenen ze er elke dag op dat verlossing uit de aardse nood hun ten deel valt.

En toch komt de laatste dag ook voor deze nog bij verrassing. Hij zal komen wanneer er geen mogelijkheid meer bestaat zielen te winnen. En dit zal heel gauw het geval zijn, want de scheiding zal spoedig voltrokken zijn. De moed om getuigenis af te leggen is slechts gering en de beslissing voor of tegen God wordt in korte tijd geëist. En daarom zal ze ook de inleiding zijn van het einde, want de kwelling, waaraan de gelovigen nu zijn blootgesteld, vereist de hulp van God, daar anders een gevoel van zwakte zich ook van de kleine schare van de zijnen meester zou maken. En God zal dit nooit toelaten. En zo zal Hij komen als Redder in de hoogste nood en Hij zal de zijnen tot Zich halen. En dan komt het oordeel, zoals het is verkondigd in woord en geschrift.
