Refuting the objections of the unbeliever....

The knowledgeable person will be able to refute every objection raised by the unbelieving person in order to justify his unbelief. For once he has received the right knowledge, the divine wisdom, he will be able to refute every wrong opinion because every doubt will have been resolved and every question answered and he will therefore be able to counter the unbeliever's objections with his own knowledge. He can now utilize his knowledge, he can enlighten himself, correct errors, answer questions; he can teach and impart wisdom, which, however, will only be recognized as (truth) wisdom if the listener has a serious desire for truth. For in order to win an unbeliever to faith, the teacher must be able to dispel all doubts in him, he must make the divine truth accessible to him in such a way that even the intellectual person cannot close his mind to it if he seriously reflects on what he has heard. He must try to logically justify the knowledge he wants to pass on to his fellow human being so that even the critic cannot completely reject it but must take a stand on it. The knowledge he has received himself obliges him to pass it on, but it also enables him to do so, so that he only carries out something for which he has been prepared by the supply of truth from God. Admittedly, opponents will arise who will even want to powerfully shake his knowledge, for wherever the truth is spread God's adversary will also try to assert himself in order to stop it. Yet anyone who stands up for the truth for its sake, who does not seek to gain earthly honor and fame, will not need to fear any opponent, for he only speaks on God's behalf and he now also stands in God's power if he represents His word. What God previously imparted to the human being in His love in order to educate him as a bearer of truth irrevocably remains his spiritual property, even if he has not yet completely mastered it mentally, yet if he carries out the teaching activity the thoughts will flow to him as he needs them in order to speak for the truth. And his words will also be convincing if the partner has also sought a discussion for the sake of the pure truth. However, they will fall on the ears of someone who only raises objections out of a desire to argue and is not interested in refuting them. Yet the representative of the pure truth will soon realize this and use his words sparingly, for he only shares his knowledge where it is desired because God places it in his heart, because it is precious knowledge which he, too, could only receive through heartfelt desire for it....

불신자들의 이의에 대한 반박.

지식을 가진 사람은 믿지 않는 사람이 자신의 불신을 정당화하기 위해 제기하는 모든 이의를 반박할 수 있다. 왜냐면 그가 올바른 지식과 하나님의 지혜를 받으면, 모든 잘못된 견해를 반박할 수 있기 때문이고, 그의 모든 의심이 해결되고, 그가 모든 질문에 대한 답을 얻고, 자신의 깨달음으로 불신자의 이의에 반박할 수 있기 때문이다. 그는 이제 자신의 지식을 활용할 수 있고, 자신이 깨우쳐주는 일을 할 수 있고, 오류를 수정해줄 수 있고, 질문에 답해줄 수 있다. 그는 지혜를 가르치고 나눠줄 수 있다. 그러나 듣는 사람이 진리를 간절히 갈망할 때, 지혜를 진리로 깨달을 수 있다.

믿지 않는 사람이 믿게 하기 위해서는 가르치는 사람은 불신자 안에 모든 확실하지 못한 점을 제거할 수 있어야만 하고, 이성을 활용하는 불신자가 진지하게 가르침 받은 하나님의 진리를 생각한다면, 자신을 닫을 수 없게 하는 방식으로 하나님의 진리를 이해시켜줘야만 한다. 가르치는 사람은 자신이 이웃 사람에게 전하기 원하는 지식을 논리적으로 근거를 제시하여 심지어 비평가조차도 완전히 거부할 수 없고, 그에 대한 입장을 취하게 만들어야만 한다.

그가 받은 지식이 그에게 지식을 전하는 의무를 부여한다. 그러나 그는 전하기 위한 능력을 받고, 이로써 그는 단지 하나님으로부터 진리를 받아, 전하기 위해 준비된 일을 수행하게 된다. 그러나 그의 지식을 강하게 흔들기 원하는 그의 대적자들이 나타날 것이다. 왜냐면 진리가 전파되는 모든 곳에서 하나님의 대적자들도 전파하는 일을 막기 위해 나서기 때문이다. 그러나 진리를 위해 진리 편에 서는 사람은, 세상의 명예와 명성을 얻으려고 하지 않는 사람은 대적자를 두려워할 필요가 없게 될 것이다. 왜냐면 그는 단지 하나님의 사명을 받아 말하고, 그가 하나님의 말씀을 대변하면, 그는 이제 하나님의 권능 안에 있기 때문이다.

하나님이 자신의 사랑으로 사람을 진리의 전달자로 훈련시키기 위해 이 전에 그에게 준 것은, 비록 그가 아직 생각으로 완전히 파악하지 못했을지라도, 돌이킬 수 없게 그가 소유한 지식이 된다. 그가 가르치는 일을 행하면, 그가 진리를 위해 말하기 위해 필요한 생각이 그에게 흘러 갈 것이고, 듣는 사람이 순수한 진리를 위해 대화를 구했다면, 그의 말을 확신할 것이다. 그러나 반박하는 내용에는 전혀 관심이 없고, 단지 논쟁하기를 좋아하는 사람들의 귀에는 성공하지 못하고 실패할 것이다. 그러면 순수한 진리의 대변하는 사람은 곧 이를 깨닫고 자신의 말을 아낄 것이다. 왜냐면 그는 단지 원하는 곳에서 자신의 지식을 나눠 주기 때문이다. 하나님이 심장 안에 그가 그렇게 처신하도록 했기 때문이고, 지식이 자신도 또한 단지 긴밀하게 구함으로 받을 수 있었던 귀한 지식이기 때문이다._>아멘
