Responsibility of educators.... love of truth....

The person who exercises an educational ministry and leads the souls entrusted to him astray bears a tremendous responsibility. As soon as he is active as a teacher, he must also be completely convinced of what he is teaching, otherwise he must not transfer his knowledge to others. This is especially true for teachings that relate to spiritual matters, i.e. that are intended to educate the soul. If he is convinced of the truth of these teachings, then he also has the right to defend his conviction. However, in order to be convinced, he must have thought through the teachings himself and taken a stand on them with the full will to stand in the truth. Then he will also be able to justify his educational ministry before God, because he is now acting to the best of his knowledge when he fulfils this ministry. However, as soon as he only passes on knowledge that he himself has received in exactly the same way without being fully convinced of the truth of it, he is guilty of the educated thinking of the people entrusted to him, for he is, as it were, imposing knowledge on them that may be far removed from the truth. But he has the task of watching over their knowledge, he must protect them from error or from teachings that are so unclear that they only confuse their thinking, for this is his office, which he is to administer conscientiously. But he can fulfil his office with peace of mind if he takes refuge in God, if he asks Him for enlightenment and His help, thus entrusting the souls of the people entrusted to him to God so that He may protect them from error or wrong thinking. He must be aware of his responsibility and only want to represent the pure truth, then God will also strengthen his will and his power of realization, and he will only pass on what he can fully affirm, what is therefore regarded by him as truth. And that is why it is of particular importance for a teacher that he intimately connects himself with God and asks Him for His help and blessing, because not only his salvation but also that of the pupils entrusted to him is in danger if divine grace does not make his activity a blessed one, if God does not give him the fullest realization as to whether and when he is in the truth. For one day he will have to answer for himself and he will be called to account for the souls to whom he should proclaim the truth....

Verantwortung der Erzieher.... Wahrheitsliebe....

Eine ungeheure Verantwortung ladet der Mensch auf sich, der ein erzieherisches Amt ausübt und die ihm anvertrauten Seelen in die Irre führt. Sowie er lehrend tätig ist, muß er auch völlig überzeugt sein davon, was er lehrt, ansonsten er nicht seine Kenntnisse auf andere übertragen darf. Es gilt dies sonderlich für die Lehren, die sich auf geistige Dinge beziehen, die also die Seele ausbilden sollen. Ist er überzeugt von der Wahrheit dieser Lehren, dann hat er auch das Recht, diese seine Überzeugung zu vertreten. Um aber überzeugt sein zu können, muß er die Lehren selbst durchdacht und dazu Stellung genommen haben, und zwar mit dem vollen Willen, in der Wahrheit zu stehen. Dann wird er auch sein Erziehungsamt vor Gott verantworten können, denn er handelt nun nach bestem Wissen, so er dieses Amt ausübt. Sowie er aber nur das Wissen weitergibt, das er selbst genau so empfangen hat, ohne von der Wahrheit dessen voll überzeugt zu sein, macht er sich schuldig an dem verbildeten Denken der ihm anvertrauten Menschen, denn er drängt diesen gewissermaßen ein Wissen auf, das weit von der Wahrheit entfernt sein kann. Er aber hat die Aufgabe, über das Wissen jener zu wachen, er muß sie hüten vor Irrtum oder vor Lehren, die so unklar sind, daß sie das Denken nur verwirren, denn dieses ist sein Amt, das er gewissenhaft verwalten soll. Beruhigt aber kann er sein Amt versehen, so er seine Zuflucht nimmt zu Gott, so er Ihn bittet um Erleuchtung und um Seinen Beistand, also die Seelen der ihm anvertrauten Menschen Gott anempfiehlt, daß Er sie schütze vor Irrtum oder falschem Denken. Er muß sich seiner Verantwortung bewußt sein und nur die reine Wahrheit vertreten wollen, dann wird Gott auch seinen Willen stärken und seine Erkenntniskraft, und er wird nur das weitergeben, was er voll und ganz bejahen kann, was sonach von ihm als Wahrheit angesehen wird. Und darum ist es für eine lehrende Kraft von besonderer Wichtigkeit, daß sie sich innig mit Gott verbindet und Ihn um Seinen Beistand und Segen bittet, weil nicht nur sein Seelenheil, sondern auch das der ihm anvertrauten Schüler in Gefahr ist, so nicht die göttliche Gnade seine Tätigkeit zu einer gesegneten macht, so nicht Gott ihm vollste Erkenntnis gibt, ob und wann er sich in der Wahrheit befindet. Denn dereinst muß er sich verantworten, und es wird Rechenschaft gefordert werden von ihm über die Seelen, denen er die Wahrheit verkünden sollte....
