Jesus' suffering and death on the cross.... atonement....

Jesus' suffering and death on the cross was the greatest sacrifice of love ever offered by a human being on earth. It was not a sacrifice of atonement by a guilty person, it was not a deserved punishment, but a sacrifice that was made for the sins of other people out of the deepest love for this.... It was a voluntary sacrifice of atonement that was intended to redeem fellow human beings from their well-deserved punishment.... The death on the cross was unspeakably agonizing, and yet Jesus chose it because His body wanted to suffer out of an immense love for humanity. He wanted to do something that people were not capable of, He wanted to take agony upon Himself in order to spare His fellow human beings. He knew that people's fate after death was suffering and torment as a just punishment for their apostasy from God, i.e. for their will which was opposed to God, and in His love He wanted to reduce this suffering and torment by imposing it on Himself, thus He voluntarily bore suffering so that they would not have to bear it. And thus He chose the most agonizing death.... death on the cross and offered up these unspeakable torments to His father in heaven. He brought Him the atoning sacrifice by suffering and dying for sinful humanity.... And this sacrifice was pleasing to God. For Jesus was pure and blameless, He was without sin.... There was not the slightest guilt in Him, but He chose death, which atoned for the most serious crimes, which was unspeakably agonizing and dishonouring.... He had His pure body crucified by people who were followers of satan in their far-from-God state, and His soul also suffered unimaginable torment along with His body as a result. For His pure soul perceived every sinfulness as torment; the soul, which had become love, suffered from unkindness.... and yet it took this torment upon itself in order to make people's fate more bearable. The sacrifice was made to God in merciful love and God accepted it favourably.... The man Jesus had to completely renounce His love for the world before He could make this sacrifice, He had to free Himself from every desire, He had to be willing to give up everything of His own free will, only then was He able to make this sacrificial death.... His love was so great that it was only for His fellow human beings and not for His own body. And because this immense love motivated Him to make such a sacrifice, God accepted it.... And so Jesus redeemed humanity from eternal death through His suffering and death on the cross, which surpassed every other death in pain and agony, because His love was so great that He was prepared to endure everything for the sake of humanity, which without His work of redemption, without this sacrifice on the cross, would have to suffer for eternities if it wanted to atone for its incomprehensibly great guilt of sin itself....

Il soffrire e morire di Gesù sulla Croce - Il Sacrificio dell’Espiazione

Il soffrire e morire di Gesù sulla Croce era il più grande Sacrificio d’Amore, che mai un uomo ha portato sulla Terra. Non era un Sacrificio d’Espiazione di un uomo colpevole, non era una punizione meritata, ma un Sacrificio, che è stato portato per la colpa di peccato di altri uomini per un profondissimo Amore per loro. E’ stato un volontario Sacrificio d’Espiazione, che doveva riscattare i prossimi dalla loro punizione ben meritata. La morte sulla Croce era indicibilmente tormentosa, e ciononostante Gesù l’ha scelto, perché il Suo Corpo voleva soffrire per l’ultragrande Amore per l’umanità. Lui voleva fare qualcosa, per cui gli uomini non erano in grado, Egli voleva prendere su di Sé i tormenti, per risparmiarli ai prossimi. Lui sapeva che la sorte degli uomini dopo la morte sono sofferenze e tormenti come giusta punizione della loro caduta da Dio, cioè della volontà rivolta contro Dio e del Suo Amore Egli voleva diminuire queste sofferenze e tormenti, mentre Lui Stesso li voleva prendere su di Sé, quindi portava volontariamente la sofferenza, affinché costoro non l’avessero da portare. Quindi Egli ha scelto la morte più terribile, la morte sulla Croce ed ha sacrificato questi indicibili tormenti al Padre Suo nel Cielo. Lui Gli ha portato il Sacrificio dell’Espiazione, mentre soffriva e moriva per l’umanità peccaminosa. E questo Sacrificio era compiacente a Dio, perché Gesù Era puro ed innocente, Egli Era senza peccato. In Lui non c’era la minima colpa, ma ha scelto la morte, che espiava i crimini peggiori, che era indicibilmente tormentosa e disonorante. Ha lasciato inchiodare sulla Croce il Suo Corpo puro da uomini, che nel loro stato lontano da Dio erano seguaci di Satana, e per questo oltre al corpo anche la Sua Anima soffriva inimmaginabili tormenti, perché la Sua pura Anima percepiva ogni peccaminosità come tormento; l’Anima, che Era diventata Amore, soffriva sotto il disamore ed ha preso comunque su di Sé questi tormenti, per rendere con ciò più sopportabile la sorte degli uomini. Il Sacrificio era stato portato a Dio nell’Amore compassionevole, e Dio lo ha accettato con Compiacimento. L’Uomo Gesù doveva privarSi totalmente del Suo Amore per il mondo, prima che Egli avesse potuto portare questo Sacrificio, doveva liberarSi da ogni desiderio, doveva essere pronto a rinunciare a tutto per libera volontà, solo allora Lui Era pronto per questo Sacrificio di morte. Il Suo Amore era così grande, che era solo ancora rivolto ai prossimi, ma non al Suo proprio Corpo. E dato che questo ultragrande Amore Lo ha mosso a portare un tale Sacrificio, Dio lo ha accettato. E così Gesù ha liberato l’umanità dall’eterna morte attraverso le Sue sofferenze ed il Suo morire sulla Croce, che superava ogni altra morte in dolori e tormenti, perché il Suo Amore era così grande, che era pronto a portare tutto per via dell’umanità, che senza la Sua Opera di Redenzione, senza questo Sacrificio sulla Croce, avrebbe dovuto soffrire attraverso delle Eternità, se voleva espiare lei stessa la sua inafferrabilmente grande colpa di peccato.
