Work of destruction by human hands....

Nothing in the universe is hidden from the lord. There is no work of creation that is not regocnized and willed in its finest components by the eternal creator; there is nothing in it that is beyond His will. There is nothing arbitrary, nothing that has come into being without the will and knowledge of the lord. Consequently, nothing can follow its path of development without being constantly looked after by the eternal creator, since nothing happens without His will and nothing can violate divine order. For the entire work of creation is determined by the creator's will and no power has authority over the least of what God has created. It is therefore to be understood that every process on earth as well as outside the earth takes place according to God's will as far as it is naturally recognizable.... i.e. processes that have nothing to do with human behaviour, which require the free will of man. God's will is expressed everywhere, in every plant and every flower, in every living being, in every natural process, in everything that takes place in, on and above the earth, in which human will is not involved. However, the opposing power cannot test itself in the works of creation, it is completely uninvolved in them, even though it may seem as if evil forces are at work, insofar as works of destruction or natural disasters reveal the activity of a great power. This opposing power can only influence the will of man to create means for himself and then make use of them in order to be able to likewise have a destructive and annihilating effect. However, these works of creation arise through the free will of human hands and are therefore neither willed by God nor blessed by God, as they can only ever be attributed to the influence of evil power on human will. For God does not use such means to destroy. His will is sufficient and all elements are subject to Him.... But nothing can ever correspond to His will which is directed against His commandments.... to harm or destroy the life or possessions of one's neighbour.... Everything is created by God, and human hands should not interfere with His will of creation. Everything is given by God, and the will of man should not destroy or take possession of his fellow man.... However, where the act of destruction is necessary, God's power and might is truly great enough to fulfil the necessity....

And thus He will turn His face away from every work of destruction which is carried out by human hands and which is intended to harm fellow human beings. It is His will that you should love one another and endeavour to love one another. You are to avert all harm from one another, but not inflict it on one another. And if one breaks another's law, if he forces him to defend himself, he commits the greatest sin, for he does not respect the commandment which the lord gave to mankind first and foremost.... He loves neither God nor his neighbour and uses his will to serve the adversary, who sows hatred and unkindness in order to poison souls. He has entered into his service and likewise sows hatred and unkindness among people. The creator's love brought everything into being, the adversary himself has no power over God's works of creation, thus he utilizes people's free will in order to destroy divine creations. And God does not command man's free will until the time of maturity has come.... until the hour has come when the lord puts a stop to the adversary's activities....

인간의 손에 의한 파괴 작업.

우주의 어떤 것도 주님 앞에 숨겨져 있는 것은 없다. 어떤 창조의 작품의 가장 세밀한 구성품도 영원한 창조주가 깨닫고, 원하지 않은 것이 없다. 작품 안에 어떤 것도 창조주의 의지가 들어가지 않은 것은 없다. 어떤 작품도 우연에 의한 작품은 없다. 주님의 뜻과 지식이 없었다면, 어떤 것도 생성되지 못했을 것이다. 그러므로 영원한 창조주의 지속적인 보살핌 없이는 어떤 것도 성장의 길을 갈 수 없다. 왜냐하면 창조주의 뜻 없이는 아무 일도 일어나지 않고, 또한 어떤 것도 하나님의 질서를 위반할 수 없기 때문이다. 왜냐하면 창조주의 의지에 의해 모든 창조의 작품들이 정해졌고, 하나님이 창조한 것 중 가장 작은 것에 대한 권세나 힘이 없기 때문이다. 따라서 사람이 자연적으로 깨달을 수 있는 한, 이 땅과 이 땅 밖에서 일어나는 모든 과정은 인간의 자유의지를 전제로 하는 인간의 행동방식과 전혀 상관이 없이, 하나님의 뜻에 따라 일어난다는 것을 이제 이해할 수 있다.

하나님의 뜻은 모든 것에서 나타난다. 모든 식물에서, 모든 꽃에서, 모든 생명체에서, 모든 자연적 과정에서, 인간의 의지가 관여하지 않는 이 땅의 안과 위와 공중에서 진행되는 모든 것에서, 나타난다. 그러나 대적자가 자신의 권세를 창조의 작품에 시험을 해볼 수 없다. 비록 파괴의 역사나 자연 재해가 큰 권세의 역사를 나타낸다면, 악한 세력이 활동하는 것처럼 보일지라도, 대적자의 권세가 전혀 관여한 일이 아니다. 대적자의 권세는 단지 사람의 의지에 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 이로써 대적자의 권세가 자신의 수단을 얻고, 이 수단을 마찬가지로 파괴적이고 멸망시키는 효과를 일으키기 위해 사용할 수 있다.

그러나 이런 일어난 역사는 자유의지를 통해 인간의 손으로 발생한 일이기 때문에 인간의 의지에 영향을 미친 악한 세력의 역사로 인한 것이고, 하나님이 원하는 일도 아니고, 하나님이 축복하는 일도 아니다. 왜냐하면 하나님은 그런 수단을 사용하여 파괴하지 않기 때문이다. 하나님의 의지면 충분하고, 모든 원소가 그에게 복종한다. 그러나 하나님의 계명에 어긋나는, 이웃사람의 생명이나 소지품을 훼손하거나 파괴하는 일은 그의 뜻과 결코 일치할 수 없다. 모든 것은 하나님에 의해 창조되었고, 인간의 손이 하나님의 창조 의지에 개입을 해서는 안 된다. 모든 것은 하나님이 준 것이고, 인간의 의지가 이웃 사람의 것을 파괴하거나 빼앗아서는 안 된다. 그럴지라도 파괴의 역사가 필요한 곳에서는 하나님의 능력과 권세는 진실로 파괴할 필요를 충족시킬 수 있을 만큼 충분하게 크다.

그러므로 하나님은 인간의 손에 의해 수행되는, 이웃 사람들에게 해를 끼치게 되는 모든 파괴하는 일에 얼굴을 돌릴 것이다. 너희가 서로 사랑하고, 이웃 사람을 사랑하기 위해 노력하는 일이 하나님의 뜻이다. 너희는 서로에게 해를 끼쳐서는 안되고, 모든 해를 피하게 해줘야 한다. 한 사람이 이웃 사람의 권리를 침해하여, 그가 자신을 방어하도록 강요하면, 그는 가장 큰 죄를 짓는 것이다. 왜냐하면 그는 주님이 첫째로 유일하게 준 계명을 존중하지 않기 때문이다. 그는 하나님과 이웃을 사랑하지 않고, 미움과 사랑 없음을 심는 대적자를 섬기는 일에 자신의 의지를 사용한다. 그는 대적자를 섬기는 일을 하며 또한 사람들 사이에 증오와 사랑 없음을 심는다. 창조주의 사랑이 모든 것을 생성되게 했고, 대적자 자신에게 하나님의 창조의 작품에 대한 권세가 없다. 그러므로 대적자는 하나님의 창조물을 파괴하기 위해 인간의 자유의지를 활용한다. 하나님은 성장에 도달할 때까지, 주님이 대적자의 행위를 멈추게 하는 시간이 올 때까지, 인간의 자유의지에 명령을 하지 않는다.
