Efficiency of the soul.... renunciation.... preliminary stages.... light spheres....

In an indescribably long past the soul was given tasks which demanded complete fulfilment, and only in this way was the course of higher development covered. If the soul's entire nature has reached the highest level of efficiency through the constant transformation of its cover, it must now also be given a task of equally great extent or responsibility in earthly life, which it can only fulfil if it endeavours to use all the abilities at its disposal and devotes itself eagerly to this work. It will be of immeasurable advantage for it if it makes use of every opportunity and overcomes everything difficult, for this alone promotes its state of maturity, that it willingly takes upon herself what is imposed on it for its own perfection. Thus, for example, it will take a certain time until the soul has freed itself from all earthly desire, and it can only achieve this if it practices renunciation, if it only ever considers that giving in to the body's desire is always detrimental to the soul.... if it equally considers how much the soul has to live in want when the body is considered and thus has to muster every ounce of resistance in order to help the soul. The human being bears responsibility for his soul because, on the other hand, he also has the ability to refrain from or do everything that is helpful to the soul.... and, in turn, it only depends on the human being's will to use these abilities correctly and, if the body demands something other than what is in the soul's best interest, to offer it the right resistance. For only in this way can the earthly task be completely fulfilled. And the human being has to fight this battle every day and every hour, and he should not tire, because it’s the highest stakes.... it’s about eternity.... This concept is incomprehensible to you humans, for you do not grasp the word in its deepest meaning. But you should know that you receive infinitely more than you give.... but that on the other hand you cannot receive in the state you are in now on earth.... that you would not be able to endure the glories if you had not first shaped yourselves in such a way that you could partake of them. Just as the soul had to form before in order to animate the human body.... just as its present condition is completely different from the previous stages, where the course through innumerable individual beings only brought about unification in an inconceivably long time in order to now embody itself in the human being.... the soul must now also try to reach the state in earthly existence that it can leave the dark stay in matter and rise into light regions, in order to be able to endure the very abundance of light, which is the epitome of bliss.... In order to receive the highest delights and enjoy unlimited bliss, the body's desire on earth must be met with the greatest resistance.... Then the soul will use its abilities in the right way by only ever striving for life in eternity and only regarding earthly life as an educational station....

혼의 효율성. 포기. 예비 단계. 빛의 영역.

말할 수 없게 먼 과거에 혼은 완전한 성취를 요구하는 과제를 받았다. 단지 이 과제를 통해 더 높은 성장을 위한 과정을 갈 수 있다. 혼이 이제 자신의 모든 상태가 끊임없는 겉 형체의 변형을 통해 최고의 능력을 갖춘 상태에 도달하게 되면, 혼은 이제 이 땅의 삶에서 가장 큰 범위를 가진 책임을 맡아야만 한다. 혼이 가지고 있는 능력을 최대한 활용하고, 전적으로 열정으로 이 과제에 전념하면, 혼은 이 책임을 감당할 수 있다.

혼이 모든 기회를 활용하고, 모든 어려움을 극복한다면, 혼에 말할 수 없게 유익이 될 것이다. 왜냐하면 이 일이 유일하게 혼의 성숙한 상태를 지원하고, 혼이 자신의 완성을 위해 혼에 부과된 것을 기꺼이 받아들이기 때문이다. 혼이 이 땅의 욕망으로부터 자유로워질 때까지 일정한 시간이 필요하다. 혼이 절제한다면, 혼이 항상 단지 육체 욕망에 굴복하는 일이 항상 혼에 해롭다는 것을 생각한다면, 마찬가지로 혼이 육체를 생각할 때 혼이 얼마나 굶주려야 하는지를 생각한다면, 그러므로 혼을 돕기 위해 혼이 모든 저항을 해야만 한다는 것을 생각한다면, 혼은 이 땅의 욕망으로부터 자유롭게 되는 일을 단지 완성할 수 있다.

인간에게 자신의 혼에 대한 책임이 있다. 왜냐하면 인간에게 한편으로 혼에 유용한 모든 일을 하지 않거나 할 수 있는 능력이 있기 때문이다. 몸이 혼에 유익을 주지 않는 다른 것을 요구한다면, 이 요구에 올바른 저항을 하는 일이 단지 이 능력을 올바르게 사용하려는 사람의 의지에 달려 있다. 왜냐하면 단지 이를 통해 이 땅의 과제가 남김없이 완수될 수 있기 때문이다. 사람은 이 싸움을 매일 매시간 싸워야만 한다. 그는 피곤해지지 말아야 한다. 왜냐하면 최고의 노력을 들여야 하기 때문이고, 영원에 관한 일이기 때문이다.

이런 개념을 너희 인간은 이해하기 어렵다. 왜냐하면 너희가 말씀을 가장 깊은 의미로 이해하지 못하기 때문이다. 그러나 너희는 너희가 희생하는 것보다 무한히 더 많이 받는다는 것을 알아야 한다. 그러나 다른 한편으로는 너희가 지금 이 땅에 거하는 상태에서는 받을 수 없다는 것을 알아야 한다. 너희가 이 전에 영광에 참여할 수 있도록 너희 자신을 미리 형성하지 않는다면, 너희가 영광을 견딜 수 없게 될 것임을 알아야 한다.

인간의 몸을 살아있게 하려고 이전에 혼이 형성되어야만 했던 것처럼, 혼의 현재의 상태가, 인간 안으로 육신을 입기 위해, 수많은 개별적인 존재의 과정을 통과하는 상상할 수 없을 정도로 긴 시간을 드려 하나가 된 이전의 상태와 완전히 다른 것처럼, 혼은 이제 물질의 어두운 거주지를 떠나 밝은 지역으로 상승하여 행복의 전형인 풍부한 빛을 견딜 수 있게 되기 위해, 이 땅의 존재 상태에 도달하려고 노력해야만 한다. 최고의 기쁨을 얻고, 무한한 행복을 누리기 위해, 이 땅의 육체의 욕망에 대항하여 가장 큰 저항을 해야만 한다. 그러면 혼이 항상 단지 영원한 생명을 위해 노력하고, 이 땅의 삶을 단지 교육의 장소로 간주하면서 혼은 자신의 능력을 올바르게 사용하게 된다.
