Tätigkeit ist Leben.... Untätigkeit Gefahr....

In aller Demut sich dem Willen des Herrn unterwerfen wird euch Seiner Gnaden würdig machen. Und darum nehmet alles hin, was der Herr euch sendet, ohne Widerspruch oder innere Auflehnung. Denn so Gott euch mit Leid bedenket, beweist Er euch auch Seine Liebe; nur weil Er euch innig liebt, lässet Er euch leiden, da anders ihr nie zu Ihm gelangen könnt.... Er aber will, daß ihr zu Ihm findet. Und daher werdet ihr die Welt erst zwingen, so ihr euch dem Herrn unterstellt habt, denn so ihr euren Willen aufgebet und in Seinem Willen lebt, steht euch größte Kraft zu Gebote, und ihr überwindet die Welt und jeden Gegner, der sich euch nahet, um euch zum Fall zu bringen. Und darum vertrauet euch bedingungslos dem göttlichen Herrn an, Er wird euch lenken und leiten auf allen Wegen. In ruheloser Geschäftigkeit ist alles tätig, was aus Gott ist und wieder zu Ihm zurückstrebt. Denn ein Leben in Ruhe und Untätigkeit ist kein Aufwärtsstreben, sondern ein Hinabgleiten in die Finsternis. In der Tätigkeit allein liegt Leben, und tätig ist daher alles, was leben will, untätig sein aus freiem Willen dagegen die größte Gefahr, untätig zu werden gezwungenermaßen. Es ist die Gefahr deshalb so groß, weil der menschliche Wille dann schwach wird und dieser geschwächte Wille genützt wird vom Widersacher, der den Menschen immer mehr hindert, tätig zu sein für seine eigene Freiwerdung. Der Wille zur Tätigkeit ist immer ein Bejahen der Kraft, die dem Menschen zuströmt. Nützet er diese, dann wird er auch unentwegt tätig sein, weiset er sie ab, so ist er auch nicht fähig, tätig zu sein, denn aus eigener Kraft vermag er nichts. Der Wille zur Tätigkeit trägt ihm auch fortgesetzt die Kraft ein, und diese Kraft wieder läßt seinen Willen immer bewußter sich Gott zuwenden. So der Mensch an sich und seiner Seele zu arbeiten bestrebt ist, wird sein Wille ständig angeregt werden, und er wird in rastloser Tätigkeit die Erdenaufgabe sehen, er wird nicht untätig bleiben, weil er die Untätigkeit als einen Stillstand erkennt, er aber zur Höhe schreiten will. Der lichtlose Zustand allerdings schwächt seinen Tätigkeitsdrang, d.h.. in Unwissenheit dahinleben wird gleichfalls hemmend sich auswirken. Die Kraft der Erkenntnis geht jedoch einem jeden zu, der zu Gott verlangt und zu Ihm betet. Denn diese belässet der Herr nicht in der Finsternis des Geistes.... Wer zu Gott innig betet, der wird in der Erkenntnis stehen, ihm wird Kraft und Gnade zuströmen, sein Tätigkeitsdrang wird vermehrt werden, und er strebt bewußt zur Höhe. Sein Wille wird unentwegt tätig sein, und tätig sein heißt frei werden von allem Zwang; tätig sein heißt, die Kraft aus Gott bewußt in Empfang nehmen und sie zu verwerten dem Willen Gottes gemäß.... und tätig sein nach Gottes Willen heißt, sich zu erlösen aus der Macht des Widersachers....

Activity is life.... danger of inactivity....

Submitting to the lord's will in all humility will make you worthy of His grace. And therefore accept everything the lord sends you without contradiction or inner rebellion. For if God considers you with suffering, He also proves His love for you; only because He loves you dearly does He allow you to suffer, since otherwise you can never come to Him.... But He wants you to find your way to Him. And therefore you will only force the world when you have submitted yourselves to the lord, for if you surrender your will and live in His will you will have the greatest strength at your disposal and you will overcome the world and every adversary who approaches you in order to bring you down. And therefore entrust yourselves unconditionally to the divine lord, He will guide and direct you on all paths. Everything that comes from God is active in restless activity and strives to return to Him. For a life of rest and inactivity is not an upward endeavour but a slide into darkness. Life lies in activity alone, and therefore everything that wants to live is active, whereas being inactive of one's own free will is the greatest danger of being forced into inactivity. The danger is so great because the human will then becomes weak and this weakened will is utilized by the adversary, who increasingly prevents the human being from being active for his own liberation. The will to be active is always an affirmation of the strength that flows towards the human being. If he utilizes it then he will also be incessantly active, if he rejects it then he is also incapable of being active because he is unable to do anything by his own strength. The will to be active also continuously earns him the strength, and this strength in turn lets his will turn ever more consciously towards God. If the human being endeavours to work on himself and his soul, his will will be constantly stimulated and he will see the earthly task in restless activity, he will not remain inactive because he regocnizes inactivity as a standstill but wants to progress upwards. However, the lightless state weakens his urge to be active, i.e. living in ignorance will also have an inhibiting effect. However, the power of realization comes to everyone who longs for God and prays to Him. For the lord does not leave them in the darkness of the spirit.... Whoever prays to God fervently will be filled with realization, strength and grace will flow to him, his urge to be active will be increased and he will consciously strive upwards. His will will be constantly active, and to be active means to become free from all compulsion; to be active means to consciously receive the power from God and to utilize it according to God's will.... and to be active according to God's will means to redeem oneself from the power of the adversary....
