Over de doop - De doop van volwassenen

U hebt de doop van de Geest ontvangen, wanneer u van Mij het levenswater in ontvangst neemt, wanneer u zelf zich aan de Bron van het leven laaft en daardoor kracht voor uw ziel ontvangt. U zult gedoopt moeten zijn met het Water van de Geest. Dan bent u ook lid van Mijn kerk, die Ik op aarde grondvestte. U zult dit lidmaatschap niet kunnen verwerven door alleen maar een vorm, waarom ook de doop, zoals u ze voltrekt, nooit garantie is, een ware christen te vormen, maar hoogstens als bewijs van goede wil is te waarderen, een mens naar Mij toe te leiden. Maar de terugkeer naar Mij moet de mens zelf aanvaarden en voltrekken. En hij duikt pas dan als het ware in de Bron van het water des levens, wanneer hem door Mijn Geest de Bron wordt ontsloten. Dan heeft hij de doop ontvangen, dan sluit hij zich bewust bij Mijn kerk aan, dan is hij wedergeboren in de Geest.

Uw weg over de aarde heeft als doel naar Mij terug te keren en de daad van het terugkeren is in volle bewustzijn te voltrekken. Hij kan nooit slechts door een vorm worden vervangen. Uw wil moet zich uit eigen beweging op Mij richten. U zult de innerlijke band met Mij moeten zoeken en van Mij Zelf ondersteuning afsmeken op de weg, die naar boven leidt. Dus kan een kind dit alles wel worden geleerd, het kan worden aangespoord om met Mij omgang te hebben in gebed, maar pas wanneer de mens geheel onbeïnvloed datgene doet, wat hem werd geleerd, pas wanneer hij zelf voor Mij kiest, begint hij in de stroom af te dalen om de doop van de Geest te ontvangen. Want nu kan Mijn levenswater hem toevloeien, nu kan hij Mijn Woord vernemen en daaruit kracht putten. Nu pas kan hij in geest en in waarheid tot Mij bidden, om nu echter ook door Mijn Geest verlicht te worden en als het ware een nieuw leven binnengaan.

De doop is dus op dat ogenblik voltrokken, wanneer het Mij mogelijk is, rechtstreeks op een mens in te werken door de overgave van zijn wil aan Mij. Nu behoort hij aan Mij en ofschoon zijn weg ook nog zo vol is met strijd, met verzoekingen van allerlei aard, Ik heb nu echter recht op hem en Ik zal het niet toelaten, dat Mijn tegenstander zich weer van hem meester maakt. Want daar beschermt hem de doop van de Geest tegen, die zijn levende verbinding met Mij bij hem al heeft voltrokken, want de levende verbinding met Mij, een gebed in geest en in waarheid, bewees de bereidwilligheid, af te dalen in de Bron, om nu door Mijn levenswater omspoeld te worden, dat een reinigende en helende werking heeft.

Voordat dus deze innerlijke doop is voltrokken, kunnen uiterlijke doophandelingen de mens niet de doop met de Geest opleveren, maar zullen ze steeds slechts vorm blijven en geen enkele zegen voor de ziel kunnen opleveren, waarom echter ook een doophandeling, uitgevoerd bij volwassen mensen, net zo een loze vorm kan zijn en nog niet de doop met de Geest garandeert, terwijl de innerlijke levende band met Mij en het uitgieten van Mijn Geest ook geschieden kan zonder welke uiterlijke vorm dan ook.

Ik hecht steeds alleen waarde aan de wil van de mens om zich bij Mij aan te sluiten en dus bewust de scheiding van Mijn tegenstander na te streven. En in overeenstemming met deze wil kan nu ook de Bron worden ontsloten, die de mens het water des levens toevoert. En dan is ook de doop met de Geest voltrokken, want dan stroomt het water des levens onophoudelijk. Dan zal elk Woord van Mij zijn ziel licht en kracht schenken. Dan zullen alle omhullingen worden opgelost, waardoor de ziel nog is omgeven. De zieke ziel zal gezond worden, de zwakke ziel zal sterk worden. De doop zal een omvorming betekenen, een uitwisseling van de geestelijke sferen, waarin de ziel zich nu ophoudt. Ze is bewust uit het gebied van Mijn tegenstander in Mijn rijk gekomen. Ze kan nu door Mijn Geest worden verlicht, daar haar wil dit toelaat. Ze is levend geworden en dus ook een bruikbaar vat, waarin Ik Mijn Geest kan uitgieten. En ze gaat nu met toegenomen verlangen krachtig voort, Mij tegemoet. Ze zoekt de aaneensluiting met Mij, omdat ze Mij heeft herkend en nu is de terugkeer naar Mij voltrokken. Ze is en blijft nu eeuwig van Mij.

About Baptism.... Baptism for adults....

You have received the baptism of the spirit when you accept the living water from Me, when you refresh yourselves at the source of life and thereby receive strength for your soul.... You have to be baptised with spiritual water.... Then you are also members of My church which I founded on earth. You cannot acquire this membership through mere formality, this is why the baptism you perform is no guarantee that it will shape a person into a true Christian, it is at best considered the evidence of good will to guide a person to Me. But the return to Me has to be started and carried out by the person himself.... And likewise he only submerges himself in the spring of living water when My spirit has made the source accessible to him. Then he will have received baptism because he has joined My church consciously, and then he is reborn in spirit....

The purpose of your earthly life is your return to Me, and the act of return has to take place completely consciously, it can never be replaced by a formality. Your will has to turn to Me of its own accord, you have to seek the inner relationship with Me and request help from Me on your path of ascent. Thus all this can certainly be taught to a child, it can be encouraged to communicate with Me in prayer.... But only when the human being spontaneously does what he was taught.... only when he chooses Me voluntarily will he start to immerse himself in the source to receive the baptism of spirit.... For then My living water can flow to him, he can hear My Word and draw strength from it. Only then can he pray to Me in spirit and in truth, but then he will also be enlightened by My spirit and at the same time start a new life.

Thus the act of baptism is carried out the instant it is possible for Me to affect a person directly when he gives himself to Me.... For then he belongs to Me even if his path is still fraught with battles, with all kinds of temptations, but I now have a right to him and I will not allow My adversary to seize him again.... He is protected from this by the baptism of spirit which will have already helped him to establish his living bond with Me, since the living bond with Me through a prayer in spirit and in truth will have proved his willingness to immerse himself in the well to be embraced by My purifying and curative living water.

Until this inner act of baptism has taken place, external actions of baptism cannot result in a person's spiritual baptism, they will always remain a formality and cannot bring any benefit to the soul. Hence an act of baptism performed on adult people can equally be a mere formality and does not ensure the spiritual baptism yet.... whilst the inner, living bond with Me and the pouring out of My spirit can even come about without any outer formality.

I only ever evaluate the human being's will to join Me and his conscious endeavour to detach himself from My adversary.... And corresponding to this will the source, which provides living water for the person, can be made accessible to him. That is the consummation of the spiritual baptism, because from then on living water flows incessantly. Then every Word of Mine bestows light and strength to the soul, then every shell that still surrounds the soul will dissolve.... the ailing soul will heal, the weak soul will become strong, the baptism will result in a transformation, in a change of the spiritual sphere the soul now occupies.... It will consciously leave My adversary's realm and enter My kingdom, where it can now be enlightened by My spirit because its will accepts it, it has come to life and is thus also a suitable vessel into which I can pour My spirit. And with increased desire it will strive towards Me, it looks for unity with Me because it has recognised Me and the return to Me will be completed, it is and remains eternally Mine....
