De grote nood van de zielen in het hiernamaals

Overgroot is de nood van die zielen in het hiernamaals die het aan licht ontbreekt. Hun toestand aan u, mensen op aarde te beschrijven zou waarlijk voldoende zijn om uw leven in andere banen te leiden, maar dan zou het gedaan zijn met uw wilsvrijheid. U zou zich dan gedreven door de vrees voor hetzelfde lot op een andere levenswandel toeleggen, dus wel dat doen wat van u gevraagd wordt - maar niet uit uzelf, uit vrije wil, daartoe aangespoord. Toch moet u het lot van de zielen kennen, het moet u worden overgebracht en het staat u dan nog steeds vrij te geloven, en er uw eigen conclusies uit te trekken.

Deze zielen hebben bij het binnengaan in het rijk hierna, alles waar hun hart aan hing op aarde, verloren. Zij bezitten niets meer, want alleen dat wat geestelijk werd verworven kunnen zij meenemen, en daar hebben zij het meeste gebrek aan. Zij zijn door totale duisternis omringd omdat zij een leven zonder GOD leidden en daardoor geheel krachteloos, maar niet gevoelloos zijn. Voor hen betekent hun omgeving nu een verschrikking en ellende, en deze kwellingen en verschrikkingen zal ook die ziel ondergaan die op aarde alles zonder vrees en vastberaden uitvoerde wat haar nu in de duisternis deed storten. Het zijn pijnen van onbeschrijfelijke aard, die nu in de ziel öf het verlangen opwekken deze toestand te ontvluchten, of alleen maar alle slechte neigingen te versterken en ook in dat rijk bevrediging te zoeken - wat een totaal ten prooi vallen aan de krachten van de duisternis betekent.

Maar ook die zielen die niet in zondigheid het aardse leven verlaten hebben, wier leven echter zonder liefde was en onverschillig ten opzichte van al het geestelijke, zijn in buitengewoon benauwende omstandigheden. Want ook hen kwelt de duisternis onuitsprekelijk, die wel somtijds voor een schemerige toestand wijkt, als de ziel nog niet geheel verhard is, zodat ook zij naar licht verlangt - want alleen het verlangen kan haar dat licht laten bereiken. Al deze zielen ontbreekt echter de kracht om het goede te willen, en er kan hun volgens de wet van eeuwigheid geen hulp worden gebracht als zij deze zelf niet begeren.

Wel is het werk van GOD's barmhartigheid niet ten einde als de ziel het aardse lichaam verlaat, maar wat zij op aarde niet heeft benut terwijl zij het in overvloed bezat, moet zij zich in het hiernamaals eerst verwerven - en zij is daar vaak te zwak voor. Stelt u zich altijd maar uiterst verzwakte en hulpeloze wezens voor die onuitsprekelijk lijden en die op hulp zijn aangewezen, om van hun lijden bevrijd te worden. En als u een blik kon werpen op hun nood, dan zou u met erbarmen vervuld worden.

Iedereen heeft daarboven zielen van wie hij niet weet in welke toestand zij het geestelijke rijk zijn binnengegaan. U allen hebt mensen die u na stonden door de dood verloren, denk tenminste aan die zielen met wie u nauwe banden had en help hen. Want zelfs het kleinste verlossingswerk aan zulke zielen volbracht, heeft een verdere verlossing ten gevolge en u heeft daar dan veel toe bijgedragen.

En u kunt hen alleen helpen door liefdevolle gedachten en gebed, en door ten gunste van deze zielen te bidden. Het zal hen weliswaar niet uit hun kwelling bevrijden, maar hun toch kracht doen toekomen door middel waarvan dan de ziel haar wil verandert en op het licht kan aansturen.

Zij kan niet tegen haar wil in uit haar ellendige staat verlost worden. Om echter het goede te kunnen willen is uw voorspraak nodig, een gebed, dat haar in liefde geschonken wordt zodra zij zich in uw gedachten dringt. Want u moet weten dat die ziel u om hulp smeekt als zij zich in uw gedachten mengt. En dat die zielen die op uw hulp hopen u voortdurend omringen, en dat u de gedachten aan gestorvenen niet uit onwil terug mag dringen, als u hun kwellingen niet nog verergeren wilt.

Om u en uw vrije wil niet te benadelen blijft het lot van deze zielen u verborgen. Het zijn twee werelden waar u en de gestorven zielen zich in bevinden. Er is een grens getrokken en een blik in hun wereld is u ontzegd. Maar toch bestaat ze en u kunt hun uit uw wereld veel liefde toezenden, die zijn uitwerking heeft op een zodanige manier en van zo'n grote omvang is, dat talloze zielen hun toestand kunnen ontvluchten. Denk vaak aan deze arme zielen en schenk aandacht aan hun nood. Want wat u voor hen doet in medelijdende liefde zal u rijk vergolden worden, doordat u op aarde reeds geestelijke hulp ten deel valt door al die zielen die uit de duisternis al tot het licht kwamen.

The souls' great hardship in the beyond....

Souls which lack light suffer incredibly great hardship in the beyond. To describe this condition to you humans on earth would be truly sufficient to drive you to live your own life differently, but that would be the end of your freedom of will; driven by fear of the same destiny you would inevitably make an effort to behave differently, thus indeed comply with what is expected of you but not of your own accord, motivated by free will. Yet you shall know about the soul's fate, it shall be imparted to you, and then it is still up to you to believe it and to draw your own conclusions from it....

On entering the kingdom of the beyond these souls have lost everything they loved on earth, they own nothing, for they can only take across what they had spiritually acquired, and this is what they are mainly lacking. Since they lived a godless way of life they are engulfed by utter darkness and are totally powerless, yet they are not insensitive, for their environment causes them torment and terror, and these torments and terrors will also be experienced by a soul which had fearlessly and powerfully implemented on earth what had subsequently plunged it into darkness.... These indescribable sufferings will then either awaken the soul's desire to escape this condition or increase its evil instincts so that it will also look for satisfaction in this realm, which means that it will completely submit itself to the forces of darkness. Yet even the souls which had not left their earthly life in such sinfulness, but whose life had been devoid of love and indifferent towards all spiritual notions, are in a very difficult situation, for they, too, are extremely tormented by darkness, although this will, from time to time, give way to twilight if the soul is not yet entirely hardened, so that it will ask for light, for only the desire will enable the soul to attain the light.

But all souls are lacking the strength to want what is right.... and according to the law of eternity they cannot be given help if they don't desire it themselves. God's act of compassion is certainly not over once the soul has left the earthly body, but what it failed to use on earth even though it had owned it in abundance, it first has to acquire in the beyond, and it is too weak to do so.... Just always imagine them as extremely weakened, helpless beings which suffer indescribably and depend on help in order to be released from their suffering.... you would be overcome by pity for these beings if you were able to see their hardship. And you all know souls in the beyond of whom you don't know in what state they entered the spiritual kingdom.... you all have lost people through death who had been close to you.... At least remember the souls who had been dear to you and help them, for even the smallest work of redemption on these souls will result in further redemptions, and you will have contributed much towards it.

You can only help them through loving thoughts and prayers, through intercession on behalf of these souls which, admittedly, will not release them from their torment but it will give them strength on account of which the soul will be able to change its will and strive towards the light. It cannot be released from its painful situation against its will, but in order to want what is right it needs your intercession, a prayer given with love, as soon as it enters your thoughts. For you should know that the soul is asking for your help as soon as it enters your thoughts, that you are constantly surrounded by souls hoping for your help, and that you should not resentfully suppress thoughts of the deceased if you don't want to add to their agony.... The fate of these souls remains hidden from you so as not to impair your free will; you and the deceased souls occupy two worlds which are separated by a dividing line; you cannot look into their world and yet it exists and you are able to send much love from your world into theirs, the effect of which expresses itself in a way and to an extent that countless souls will be able to escape their situation. Often remember these poor souls and don't ignore them in their adversity, for you will be richly rewarded for what you do for them out of merciful love, in as much as that you will receive spiritual help on earth from all souls which have come out of darkness into the light....
