Het werkzaam zijn van de lichtgeest – Misleiding door de tegenstander

Het werkzaam zijn van de lichtgeest is onmiskenbaar, ofschoon men dit hem van alle kanten zou willen ontzeggen. Niets van wat de tegenstander onderneemt, zal duurzaam zijn, ofschoon hij ook licht voorwenden wil. Het is enkel louter misleiding, dat geen schijnsel uit zichzelf afgeeft, terwijl het licht uit de hemel tot ver in de omtrek schijnt.

Zodra de mens zich blootstelt aan de stralen van dit licht zal het hem aangenaam beroeren en waar het niet dit effect veroorzaakt, daar is het de wil van de mens, die dit effect niet toelaat, omdat verwaand denken, onwetendheid en verkeerde geestdrift zijn blik vertroebelen en zijn vermogen om het te beseffen verzwakt hebben. Want het werkzaam zijn van God niet herkennen, veronderstelt een menselijk gebrek.

Een innig smekende gedachte, een smeekbede tot God om juist te denken, zal de mens ook een duidelijke herkenning opleveren van wat het werkzaam zijn van goede of van boze krachten is. Het licht uit de hemel zal niet zwakker worden en het zal zijn lichtintensiteit behouden. Het zal tot in de verste uithoeken schijnen. En degene die zich niet aan zijn lichtsterkte onttrekt, zal steeds door zijn stralen verwarmd worden.

Maar de misleiding van de tegenstander zal spoedig verbleken. Het zal de duisternis niet doordringen. Wat als bedrieglijk licht van beneden de mensen toegestuurd wordt, zal niet duurzaam zijn. En in de tijd, waarin de Satan erop bedacht is om grote verwarring onder de mensen te stichten, zal hij wel overal zijn vonken willen ontsteken, doordat hij probeert de leugen te verspreiden. Maar het licht uit de hemel zal zijn activiteiten helder belichten en zo herkent de mens helder en duidelijk waar het licht en waar de duisternis is, als hij maar bereid is om God te dienen, want diens blik wordt scherper gemaakt en zijn ziel wordt ontvankelijk voor de weldaad van het licht uit de hemel.

Work of the spirit of light.... deception of the adversary....

The work of the spirit of light is unmistakable, even if it wants to be denied from all sides. Nothing the adversary undertakes is of substance, even if he also wants to feign light. It is only vain dazzling work that gives no semblance of itself, while the light from the heavens shines far around. As soon as the human being exposes himself to the rays of this light it will beneficially affect him, and where it does not trigger this effect on the human being it is the human being's will which does not allow the effect because arrogant thinking, ignorance and false zeal have clouded his vision and weakened his power of realization. For not recognizing God's work presupposes these human faults.... A fervently pleading thought, a plea to God for right thinking will also bring man clear recognition of what is the work of good or evil forces.... The light from the heavens will not fade, it will retain its luminosity, it will shine into the furthest corners, and those who do not escape its radiance will always be warmed by its rays. But the adversary's work of deception will soon be extinguished, it will not penetrate the darkness, it will not last, what comes to people as deceptive light from below. And at the time when satan is intent on causing the greatest confusion among people he will certainly want to ignite his sparks everywhere by trying to spread lies; yet the light from the heavens will brightly illuminate his activities and thus the human being will clearly recognize where there is light and where there is darkness if only he is willing to serve God, for his eyes will be sharpened and his soul receptive to the benefit of the light from the heavens....
