Sfeer van de ziel – Levendige drager van Gods woord – Aardse opdracht

Sla nu acht op de woorden die jou uit de hoogte toekomen. De geest van de mens heeft de bekwaamheid zich boven al het aardse te verheffen en in een streek, die voor het lichaam ontoegankelijk is, te verblijven zo vaak als hij maar wil. Hij zal dan wel het lichaam op aarde achterlaten en zwiept met de snelheid van de gedachte uit de sfeer van de aarde in de sfeer van geestelijke wezens in het hiernamaals. De verbinding met de aarde en haar materie gaat alleen maar het lichaam aan, maar nooit de ziel en de goddelijke geest. Deze kunnen zich willekeurig van de hen omgevende lichamelijke omhulling vrijmaken en verblijf nemen geheel overeenkomstig hun wil in de hoogte of ook in de diepte. Niet de geringste dwang kan uitgeoefend worden op de aan het lichaam ontsnapte ziel.

De sfeer, waarin zij soms denkt, is vrij door haar gekozen en zal zich overeenkomstig haar natuur steeds aanpassen aan de toestand van rijpheid, waarin de ziel zich bevindt. En er zal alleen maar de geringste tijd nodig zijn om een zich in geestelijke regionen ophoudend aards wezen zo rijp te laten worden dat hij het aardse dal verlaten kan. Maar vaak is zo’n mens een opdracht toegewezen waar voor de uitvoering een langere tijd vereist is dan voor de eigenlijke toestand van de rijpheid nodig was. Zulke gevallen, dat van een vervolmaking op aarde gesproken kan worden, vinden uiterst zelden plaats, maar voor een ernstig strevende is het wel mogelijk om ook in kortere tijd het aardse leven met alle aantrekkingskracht en verlokkingen, met alle gevaren voor de ziel, te overwinnen. Hij blijft dan alleen nog maar om de voor hem op aarde bestemde werkzaamheid vervullen en bedrijvig werkzaam te zijn volgens de wil van Heer.

En dat in een geestelijke relatie. Zulke mensen zijn ertoe voorbestemd een vast ankerpunt te bieden aan de vele zwakken, door weer en wind van het aardse leven omvergeworpen dwalende zielen op aarde, die zich tot nog toe weinig of helemaal niet om hun zielenheil bekommerden. En zulke mensen zullen in veel kortere tijd de hen toegewezen opdracht vervullen, omdat ze zelf de genade van de Heer bij zich bespeuren en nu ijverig en overtuigd zich voor iets in kunnen zetten dat de exclusieve bevordering van de ziel geldt. En daarom zal jouw werkzaamheid op aarde jou wel het aardse leven waarborgen, maar jou in de eerste plaats in staat stellen alle vernomen wijsheid aan de broeders en zusters van de aarde mede te delen, en zo werkt het woord van God onophoudelijk door zichzelf.

Wie ernaar verlangt, zal horen en de geestelijke wereld zal zich alsmaar inspannen dit woord aan de mensen op aarde over te brengen om zo standvastige, welbespraakte en volledig onderrichte leraren op te leiden, die levende dragers van het woord van God zijn en die in de wijze voorzienigheid van de Heer uitgekozen werden ter bestendiging van het woord van God onder de mensheid. En zo zal het buitengewone zich op aarde voltrekken dat zij, die tot nog toe onwetend door het leven op aarde gingen, kennis nemen van het woord van God en dat de kennis van de wijzen der aarde voor niets anders van nut is dan voor de dekking van de lichamelijke behoeften van de mensen. Doch wat de ziel nodig heeft, dat geeft de Heer Zelf als spijs. Hij voedt die Hem om spijs en drank vragen en laat hen dit direct uit de hemel toekomen en de wereld van de geesten aan de andere kant sluit zich geheel bij de wil van de Heer aan en werkt onophoudelijk ter ere van de Hoogste, doordat ze alle, door God geschapen, heerlijkheid openbaart, die Zijn kinderen in eeuwigheid toekomt. En zo zal de waarheid verkondigd worden aan ieder mensenkind dat tot dienen bereid is. Want de Heer geeft Zijn genade aan de deemoedige.

Sphere of the soul.... living bearers of the word of God.... earthly task....

Now pay attention to the words that come to you from the height.... The spirit of man has the ability to rise above all earthly things and to take up residence in a region that is inaccessible to the body as often as he wishes. He then leaves the body behind on earth and swings out of the earthly sphere into the sphere of otherworldly spiritual beings in the blink of an eye. Only the body has entered into a connection with the earth and its matter, but never the soul and the divine spirit. These can free themselves at will from the bodily cover surrounding them and take up residence completely according to their will in the height or also in the depth. Not the slightest compulsion can be exerted on this soul that has escaped the body.... The sphere in which it sometimes thinks is freely chosen by it and will naturally always adapt itself to the state of maturity in which the soul finds itself. And only the shortest time will be needed to mature an earthly being staying in spiritual regions such that it can leave the valley of the earth.... yet such a person is often assigned a task which requires more time to be accomplished than was needed for the actual state of maturity. Such cases are extremely rare that one can speak of perfection on earth, but it is certainly possible for a seriously striving person to overcome earthly life with all its attractions and temptations, with all the dangers for the soul, even in a shorter time. It then only remains to fulfil the activity destined for him on earth and to be active in the will of the lord.... and that in spiritual relationship. Such people are called to offer a firm anchor point to the many weak, erring souls on earth who are tossed about by the winds and weathers of earthly life and who have so far cared little or not at all about their soul's salvation. And such people will fulfil the task assigned to them in a far shorter time because they themselves felt the lord's grace in them and can now eagerly and convincingly commit themselves to something which is exclusively for the soul's advancement. And therefore your activity on earth will certainly secure your earthly life but first and foremost put you in a position to impart all the wisdom you have heard to your earthly brothers and sisters, and thus the word of God will constantly work through itself.... It will be heard by those who desire it, and the spiritual world will only ever endeavour to convey this word to people on earth in order to train steadfast, eloquent and fully instructed teachers who are living carriers of God's word and who have been chosen by the lord with wise foresight for the consolidation of God's word among humanity. And thus the extraordinary will take place on earth, that those who have hitherto walked ignorantly through earthly life will know about the word of God.... and that the knowledge of the worldly wise will be of no other use than to fulfil the human being's physical needs. But what the soul needs, the lord Himself gives as food.... He nourishes those who approach Him for food and drink and sends it to them directly from the heavens, and the world of spirits in the beyond completely joins the lord's will and works ceaselessly to honour the most High by giving news of all the glory which, created by God, is to come to His children in eternity. And thus the truth will be proclaimed to every child on earth who is willing to serve.... For to the humble the lord gives His grace....
