하나님과 사람 사이의 중재자.

하나님과 인간 사이의 전달자는 항상 하나님으로부터 받고 인간에게 전해줄 준비가 되어 있어야만 한다. 하나님을 향한 사랑이 사람이 하나님의 말씀을 들을 수 있게 만들어야만 하고, 이웃을 향한 사랑이 그가 이웃에게 하나님의 말씀을 전하도록 이끌어야만 한다. 사람과 하나님 사이의 간격은 너무 크다. 왜냐면 사람들 자신이 하나님과 관계를 맺으려고 하지 않기 때문이다. 그러므로 간격을 메우는 전달자가 필요하다. 이런 전달자는 이미 하나님께 향하는 길을 찾았고, 하나님으로부터 좋은 선물을 받기 위해 계속하여 이 길을 가는 사람이다. 그러나 그는 또한 자신의 이웃에게 이 선물을 전해준다. 왜냐면 그가 이웃을 향한 사랑을 느끼고 자신의 이웃 사람과 하나님과의 연결을 이뤄주고, 이로써 이웃이 하나님의 선물을 받고 활용할 수 있게 하기를 원하기 때문이다.

하나님과 사람 사이의 전달자가 되는 일은 축복된 일이고 동시에 의무이다. 왜냐면 하나님이 그에게 주는 것은 단지 자기 자신만을 위한 것이 아니고 모든 사람에게 전해줘야 하고, 하나님이 그에게 주는 것은 영의 나라에서 온 것이기 때문에 단지 사람을 통해 이 땅으로 전해지는 영적인 재물이기 때문이다. 그러나 아직 온전하지 못한 상태에 있는 사람들은 영의 나라로부터 직접 아무것도 받을 수 없고, 그러므로 그들이 온전해지기 위해 필요한 것을 전달하는 중간 단계가 필요하다. 하나님은 약자와 함께 하고, 그에게 힘을 주려고 시도한다. 그러나 하나님께 향한 의지를 전제로 한다. 그러므로 전달자들이 사람들을 가르쳐, 그들이 하나님을 깨닫게 하고, 사랑하는 법을 배우게 하고 따라서 하나님께 속하려는 의지를 갖게 해야 한다.

그러면 그들은 하나님의 말씀에 주의를 기울이고, 능력으로 충만해질 것이고, 그들은 이 땅의 삶의 과제를 수행할 것이고, 이로써 그들을 영의 나라를 위해 얻게 될 것이다. 그러면 그들은 전달자를 통해 하나님께 인도되었고, 스스로 하나님께 인도하는 길로 들어섰고, 하나님과 그들 사이에 있는 간격을 좁힌다. 그들은 중재자를 통해 하나님을 찾았다. 이런 일이 하나님을 섬기기 원하고 그의 나라를 위해 일하도록 하나님이 받아드린 사람들의 과제이다. 이런 사람들은 주님의 포도원에서 일하는 사람들이고, 이웃이 깨달음을 얻고 올바른 믿음을 갖고, 하나님의 뜻대로 삶을 살고, 이로써 영원한 축복을 얻도록 돕는다.

Mediator between God and man....

A mediator between God and people must always be ready to receive from God and to give to people. Love for God must make people able to hear His word, and love for fellow human beings must drive them to convey the divine word to them. The gulf between people and God is so great because people themselves make no attempt to open a path to Him, and therefore a mediator is needed who bridges the gulf, who has therefore already found the path to God, who constantly walks it in order to receive good gifts from Him, but who also gives this gift to his fellow human beings because he feels love for them and wants to establish the connection between his fellow human beings and God so that they can also receive and utilize divine gifts. Being a mediator between God and people is both blissful and obligatory at the same time, for what God gives him is not only intended for himself but it is spiritual knowledge which is to be given to all people and is only conveyed to earth through a human being, because its origin is in the spiritual kingdom but people, in their still imperfect state, cannot receive anything directly from the spiritual kingdom and therefore require an intermediate station through which what they need to become perfect is imparted to them. For God stands by the weak, He seeks to impart strength to him which, however, requires a will turned towards Him. And thus the mediators shall instruct people so that they learn to recognize and love God and thus also have the will to belong to Him. Then they will also pay attention to His word and be filled with strength.... They will fulfil their task of earthly life and thus be won over for the spiritual kingdom. Then they will have been brought to God through a mediator, they will have entered the path which leads to Him themselves, they will have reduced the gulf which lay between God and them.... they have found their way to God through the mediator.... And this is the task of those who want to serve God and are accepted by Him to work for His kingdom.... These are the labourers in the vineyard of the lord, who help their fellow human beings to knowledge, to right faith and to a way of life in the will of God and thereby to eternal bliss....
