하나님의 말씀을 받는 혼의 축복.

비록 인간의 몸과 심장이 하나님의 말씀을 받아들이는 일의 행복한 느낌을 누리지 못할지라도, 하나님의 말씀을 받아들이는 일이 혼에게 의미하는 축복과 같은 이 땅의 기쁨은 없다. 그러나 하나님의 말씀을 받는 일은 항상 영의 영역에서 혼이 머무르는 일과 관련이 있다. 그러나 육체는 영의 영역으로 따라갈 수 없고 그러므로 육체는 인상에 영향을 받지 못하지만 혼은 힘과 빛으로 충만하고 영의 영역에 머무르는 짧은 시간에 자신을 강하게 만든다.

혼은 이 땅의 무거운 짐을 벗어나지만, 그러나 언제라도 이 땅으로 다시 돌아올 수 있을 정도로 육체와 연결되어 있다. 그러므로 영적인 계시를 받는 상태는 항상 의식을 하는 상태이다. 왜냐면 육체가 혼이 영의 영역에서 받은 혼의 인상을 육체에게 알려주기를 기대하고, 이런 인상은 항상 가르침의 형태로 이성에 전달되기 때문이다. 그러나 육체는 혼의 모든 영적인 부를 절대로 받지 못할 것이다. 왜냐면 혼이 말로는 설명할 수 없는 따라서 이해할 수 있게 전해줄 수 없는 많은 것을 보기 때문이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 이 많은 것이 혼의 영적 보물로 머물고, 혼이 영의 나라로 들어간 후에 영적 보물을 차지하게 될 것이다.

혼이 이성에게 전해주는 내용은 이 땅에서 사는 동안에 중요한 의미가 있는 내용이고, 위로 성장하도록 도움을 준다. 그러므로 이 내용을 또한 이웃 사람에게 전해야 한다. 영의 음성을 통해 영적인 내용을 받는 짧은 시간은 혼에게 말할 수 없게 유익하고, 혼이 이전에 알지 못했고, 인간의 이성도 접근할 수 없는 영역을 열어준다. 혼은 모든 곳에서 빛의 광선을 받고 그러므로 혼이 영의 영역을 떠날지라도 혼에게 지식이 남는다.

그러나 혼이 지식을 이 땅으로 가져갈 수 있는 지는, 즉 인간에게 지금까지 알려지지 않은 지식을 육체에게 전할 수 있는 지 여부는 그가 얼마나 이성적으로 진리에 도달하려는 의지를 가졌는지에 달려 있다. 혼은 영의 나라와 연결을 이루면 항상 육체에게 전해준다. 그러나 사람 자신이 자신의 의지를 통해 어느 정도 전달받을 지를 정한다.

그러므로 비록 혼이 육체에게 전해주는 내용이 같은 깊이와 범위와 이성을 통해 사람을 영적으로 행복하게 만들지 않을지라도, 혼은 서로 다르게 전해주고, 항상 영의 나라와 연결을 통해 강화되고, 혼의 영의 양식을 향한 갈망이 항상 증가할 것이다. 그의 혼은 이로써 그의 영적인 재물을 받으려는 자세를 통해 자신을 축복되게 할 수 있고 그러므로 하나님의 말씀을 받는 사람은 영적인 연결을 이루는 일을 게을리하지 않을 것이다. 왜냐면 혼은 항상 더욱 더 자신의 마음에 드는 영적인 재물을 갈망하고 세상이 제공할 수 있는 것에 만족하지 않고, 혼이 한번 영의 나라로부터 받은 것이 혼을 무한히 더 행복하게 하기 때문이다.

때때로 혼은 자신의 내면으로 물러난다. 즉 육체는 혼의 영적인 성공에 대해 적게 안다. 그럴지라도 육체가 전적으로 깨달음이 없이 머물지 않게 될 것이고, 이성이 더 선명한 설명을 구할수록 이 깨달음은 증가하게 될 것이다.

Bliss of the soul in receiving the divine word....

No earthly joy equals the bliss which the reception of the divine word means for the soul, although the body, the human being's intellect, has no share in the blissful sensation. But the reception of the divine word is always connected with the soul's dwelling in spiritual spheres, where the body cannot follow and therefore also remains untouched by the impressions. But the soul is flooded with strength and light and strengthens itself in the short time of its dwelling in the spiritual kingdom. It is, so to speak, removed from the heaviness of earth but connected to the body to such an extent that it can return to earth again at any time, which is why the state of receiving spiritual announcements is always a conscious one, for the body is waiting for what the soul will announce to it from its impressions in the spiritual kingdom, which are always passed on to the intellect in the form of instructions. But the body will never receive the soul's entire spiritual wealth, for the soul sees much which it cannot describe in words and therefore also cannot reproduce comprehensibly, but which nevertheless remains to it as a spiritual treasure which it will be able to lift after its entrance into the spiritual kingdom. What it imparts to the intellect is of importance for the duration of earthly life and contributes to ascent development, and therefore it should also be passed on to fellow human beings. The short time of receiving spiritual knowledge through the voice of the spirit is immensely profitable for the soul, and areas open up to it, which it has never known before and which are also inaccessible to the intellect of man. It receives rays of light everywhere, thus knowledge remains with it even if it has left those areas. However, whether it can also take the knowledge to earth, i.e. also impart it to the body, so that the human being as such takes cognizance of what was previously unknown, depends on the will of the person, however far he seeks to penetrate the truth intellectually. After a connection with the spiritual kingdom the soul will always communicate itself to the body, but to what extent the mediation takes place is determined by the human being himself through his will. Thus his soul's willingness to receive spiritual knowledge can cause happiness, even though the soul's communication with the body is not of such depth and extent that it also makes the human being intellectually happy, yet the soul communicates in different ways but is always strengthened through a connection with the spiritual kingdom, and its desire for spiritual nourishment will always increase, which is why the human being who accepts the divine word will never cease to gain spiritual contact, for the soul will always hunger more and more for the food that suits it and will no longer be satisfied with what the world can offer it once it has received what makes it infinitely more happy from the spiritual kingdom. At times, therefore, the soul withdraws into itself, i.e., the body knows little of its spiritual successes, yet it will never be left entirely without knowledge, which increases the more the intellect also demands enlightenment....
