공의로운 생각. 공의로운 생각을 위한 양육의 수단.

하나님을 아직 심장 안에 모시는 사람들의 특징은 정의와 공의를 향한 선명한 감각이 있는 것이다. 그들은 악을 미워하고, 사람들 사이의 사랑없음으로 인해 고통을 받는다. 단지 소수만이 의로운 생각을 한다는 사실에서, 모든 악한 행위를, 이런 행위로부터 사람들이 이 땅의 이익을 얻는다면, 사람들이 허용을 한다는 사실에서, 악한 영의 역사를 분명하게 볼 수 있다. 그러므로 하나님은 그런 행위를 처벌하지 않고 방치할 수 없고, 악한 행위를 하지 않더라도 동의하는 사람들도 고통을 받아야 한다. 왜냐면 의지가 사랑 없는 방향으로 향한다면, 의지조차도 죄가 되기 때문이다.

이런 죄 많은 의지가 큰 고통을 초래한다. 왜냐면 사람들이 이웃사람에게 어떤 일을 행했는 지를 스스로 느껴야만 하기 때문이다. 모든 악한 생각은 악한 권세를 인정하는 것이고, 그러므로 이렇게 사랑을 잃은 인류는 단지 사랑에 대항하는 자의 뜻을 수행한다. 인류는 이제 이런 권세에서 벗어나기 위해, 먼저 불의를 깨달아야 하고, 그들이 자신이 당할 때, 즉 고통을 받을 때, 불의를 깨닫게 된다. 그러므로 하나님은 그들이 이웃사람의 생명을 취하는 것처럼, 그들에게서 생명을 빼앗는다. 하나님은 그들이 이웃사람의 재산을 파괴하는 일을 주저하지 않는 것처럼, 그들이 사랑하는 것을 파괴한다.

하나님은 그들이 질병과 비참함을 겪게 한다. 왜냐면 그들이 이웃사람들의 고통과 비참함에 대한 동정심이 없기 때문이다. 그러나 하나님은 그들을 단지 벌하기를 원하지 않고, 올바른 생각으로 인도하기를 원한다. 하나님은 그들이 자신들의 불의를 깨닫고, 죄를 지은 것을 보상하기를 원하고, 그들을 사랑의 사람으로 양육하기를 원한다. 하나님은 그들이 서로 돕고, 필요로 할 때 서로 함께 하기를 원하고, 하나님의 뜻대로 그들 자신을 형성할 수 있도록, 그들의 심장이 사랑할 수 있게 만들어 주기를 원한다.

왜냐면 사랑이 없이 머무는 사람은 몸과 혼이 멸망당하기 때문이다. 비록 모든 백성이 위험에 처해 있을지라도, 하나님은 악의 세력에 대항하고, 이로써 악한 세력들의 역사를 막고, 하나님을 알지 못하는 사람들에게 고통스러운 고난을 주는 것처럼, 자신의 개입을 통해 악한 세력들을 중지시키면서, 큰 고통을 끝내고, 백성들을 구원할 것이다.

A clear sense of right and justice characterizes people who still have God in their hearts. They abhor evil and suffer from the unkindness of people towards one another. However, the demon's activity is evident in the fact that only a few have a righteous mindset, that every evil deed is condoned by others as soon as they derive an earthly advantage from it. And therefore God cannot leave such deeds unpunished and the people who give their consent to them must also suffer, even if they do not carry out the evil deeds. For the will is already sinful if it turns to unkindness. And this sinful will results in great suffering, as people have to feel in themselves what they inflict on their fellow human beings. Every evil thought is an acknowledgement of evil power, and a humanity that has thus become unloving only carries out the will of the one who fights against love. If humanity is to free itself from its power, it must first recognize the injustice.... and it will only do so when it is affected itself, i.e. when it suffers.... And so God takes their lives just as they take the lives of their fellow human beings.... God destroys what is dear to them, just as they do not shy away from destroying what is their fellow human being's property.... God lets them go through sickness and misery because they have no compassion for the suffering and misery of their fellow human beings. However, He does not just want to punish them but to guide them into the right way of thinking; He wants them to recognize their wrongs and try to make up for what they are guilty of. He wants to educate them to love; He wants them to help and support each other in their adversity; He wants to make their hearts capable of love so that they can mould themselves according to His will. For people who persist in lack of love will perish in body and soul. And even if an entire people is in danger, God will save this people by opposing the evil power, thus by stopping the activity of the evil forces, by stopping them Himself through His intervention, which ends great suffering, just as He, however, also brings painful suffering upon people who have not recognized God....
