이웃을 사랑하라는 계명에 사람들에게 요구하는 모든 요구가 포함되어있다. 하나님을 향한 사랑은 또한 이웃 사랑을 요구한다. 그러므로 이 땅의 인간은 하나님을 향한 사랑과 이웃을 향한 사랑에 빠지고, 이를 바탕으로 자신의 삶을 구축한다면, 자신의 임무를 완수할 것이다. 심장이 사랑으로 행복할 수 있는 곳에서 원수는 힘을 잃는다. 왜냐하면 사랑은 하나님으로부터 나온 것이고, 사랑은 행복하게 하고, 살아있게 하지만 대적자의 권세는 사랑이 쌓아온 것을 파괴하려고 하기 때문이다.
그러나 이웃을 향한 자신의 유익을 구하지 않는 사람은 항상 이웃 사람의 안녕을 돌보아 주고, 이웃 사람에게 해를 끼칠 사소한 일조차 하지 않을 것이다. 왜냐하면 그런 일을 통해 사람에게 불이익이 생기면 진정으로 옳은 사랑이 아닐 것이기 때문이다. 그러므로 이웃 사람을 사랑하는 일을 하며, 주님이 사람들에게 준 십계명대로 처신하는 일은 단지 창조주 하나님의 생각에 합당할 수 있다. 십계명의 모든 각각의 계명을 설명하자면, 각각의 계명이 이웃 사람을 내 몸처럼 사랑하라는 요구에 합당하다. 요약해서 말하자면, 자신의 유익을 구하지 않는 이웃 사랑을 항상 근거로 삼아야 한다는 것이다.
영적으로 같은 자세는 같은 영을 가진 모든 사람이 사랑으로 연합하게 만들 수 있다. 또는 사람 안에 강하게 된 사랑이 사람이 지극히 작은 자신의 유익도 구하지 않으면서, 이웃 사람에게 점점 베풀기를 원하게 만드는 방식으로 나타날 수 있다. 왜냐하면 비록 아무리 작을지라도, 이익을 향한 관심이 우세해지자마자 이웃을 향한 사랑의 일은 일종의 투기가 되기 때문이다. 그러나 그런 일은 결코 하늘의 아버지가 사랑의 계명에서 사람들에게 가르친 것이 아니고, 단지 자신의 이익을 향한 모든 계산에 근거를 두고 있다. 단지 소수의 경우에만, 사람이 항상 단지 베풀 준비가 되어있지만, 결코 받으려고 하거나 소유하기를 원하지 않는 곳에서, 이웃 사랑이 하나님의 뜻대로 행해지고 있다.

Charity.... ten commandments....
The commandment of love for one's neighbour encompasses all demands made on people, and love for God is again conditioned by love for one's neighbour. Thus the human being on earth will completely fulfil his task if he is absorbed in love for God and his neighbour and builds his life on this basis. Where the heart can make happy in love, there the enemy has lost power, for love is of divine origin, it makes happy and enlivens, whereas the enemy's power seeks to destroy what love builds up. Yet unselfish love for one's neighbour will only ever take care of his well-being but never do the slightest thing to harm him, for this would truly not be true love if it resulted in disadvantage for the human being. Therefore, it can only be in the spirit of the divine creator to take a stand in the service of neighbourly love on the ten commandments which the lord has given to human beings, namely for a more detailed explanation of the individual commandments which, in turn, each correspond to the demand to love one's neighbour as oneself and thus, in summary, are always based on unselfish love for one's neighbour. The spiritually equal attitude can also result in all who are of the same spirit uniting in love, or that the love which has become strong in the human being expresses itself precisely in such a way that the human being wants to give to his fellow human being again and again, and that without wanting to achieve the slightest advantage for himself, for as soon as the interest in an advantage, no matter how small, is predominant, every work of love for the neighbour remains a kind of speculation but is never what was taught to people by the heavenly father in the commandment of neighbourly love, instead, all calculation is only based on one's own desire for gain, and only in those few cases is active neighbourly love practiced in the spirit of God where the human being is only ever willing to give but never wants to take or possess....
