I ciechi spirituali non sopportano nessuna Luce improvvisa

Uomini che languono nel buio dello spirito non possono sopportare nessuna Luce improvvisa e coprono i loro occhi quando vengono colpiti da un raggio di Luce. L’uomo totalmente senza fede non può afferrare la pura Verità, quando gli viene sottoposta, perché il sapere spirituale è una regione nella quale si deve entrare coscientemente, cioè solo la volontà di conoscerlo lo rende capace di accoglierlo. Ma chi cammina nella totale oscurità, il suo pensare è rivolto al mondo ed i suoi occhi sono predisposti a questo e non accettano nessun’altra Luce che solamente quella che risplende loro incontro dal mondo terreno. Prima che l’uomo riconosca la Verità, deve occuparsene, cosa che richiede un rivolgere i pensieri a questa regione spirituale. Anche un miscredente può certamente ascoltare, quando gli viene dato il chiarimento su cose spirituali, allora può essere toccato da determinati pensieri, ma ora decide la sua volontà se rimane con i pensieri e lo impressionano talmente, che continua a seguirli ed infine se ne fa catturare. Allora l’occhio spirituale si abitua lentamente a guardare nella Luce, ed allora il suo splendore può diventare sempre più chiaro e raggiante, senza ora abbagliare o confondere l’uomo. Ma chi sta nella Luce, non può comprendere di aver mai preferito l’oscurità e perciò lui stesso si sforza con fervore di portare la Luce nell’oscurità e di agire con il chiarimento ovunque possa. Ma è molto più difficile voler portare la Verità ad un uomo che è totalmente pieno di insegnamenti errati. Costui si trova in certo qual modo in una luce che costantemente guizza, che passa sempre di nuovo e perciò è più stridente. Ma ad un tale stridente fulmine di luce segue una oscurità così profonda, che l’uomo non trova più nessuna via per uscirne. Non si accontenta però nemmeno con un soave bagliore di Luce, disconosce il vero splendore, passa oltre alla pura Verità, perché non la cerca là dove la si può trovare, ed il suo occhio spirituale non ha nessuna forza per vedere, perché la distrugge la luce d’abbaglio, come la pura Verità, la Luce divina, rafforza l’occhio e lo rende capace di riconoscere tutto sia nell’oscurità che anche nel Regno di Luce e così per l’occhio spirituale non esiste nessun muro da non poter compenetrare. L’uomo che sta nella giusta Luce dell’eterna Verità, può afferrare le Sapienze più profonde. Ma costui dev’essere credente e pieno d’amore. La fiamma dell’amore diffonderà un chiaro bagliore, una Luce, che risplende ultrachiara attraverso l’oscurità e che fa percepire una Forza benefica dove un occhio ancora cieco si sforza di diventare vedente. Ma a questo cieco nello spirito non dev’essere portata la Luce all’improvviso, l’amorevole comprensione per la sua debolezza spirituale, per la sua cecità deve portare l’aiuto amorevole, di tanto in tanto lo deve toccare un raggio di Luce e d’amore, che poi strapperà anche certamente il velo dagli occhi e l’iniziale Luce crepuscolare dimostra ora all’uomo, che la vera Luce si trova nell’accettazione della Verità, e lui stesso desidererà la Verità.

Mentally blind people cannot tolerate sudden light....

People languishing in spiritual darkness cannot tolerate sudden light and cover their eyes when they are struck by a ray of light.... A completely faithless person cannot grasp the pure truth if it is offered to him unprepared, for spiritual knowledge is an area which has to be consciously entered, i.e., only the will to experience it makes him capable of receiving it. However, anyone who walks completely in the dark obviously has his mind turned towards the world and his eyes are focussed on it and receive no other light than that which shines towards them from the earthly world.

Before the human being recognises the truth he must have come to terms with it, but this also requires his thoughts to be directed towards this spiritual realm. An unbeliever can certainly also listen when he is given information about spiritual things, he can then be touched by certain thoughts, but now his will decides whether he persists with these thoughts, and whether they impress him so much that he pursues them further and finally allows himself to be captivated by them. Then the spiritual eye slowly gets used to looking into the light.... and then its rays can become brighter and brighter without blinding and confusing the person. But he who stands in the light cannot understand that he has ever preferred darkness, and therefore he himself eagerly endeavours to bring light into the darkness and to enlighten people wherever he can.... But it is far worse wanting to bring the truth to a person who is completely filled with erroneous teachings. This person is, as it were, in a constant flash of light that is constantly fading and is therefore all the more glaring. However, such a bright flash of light is followed by such deep darkness that the person can no longer find a way out. But he is also not satisfied with a soft glow of light, he fails to recognise the true light, he passes by the pure truth because he does not look for it where it can be found, and because his spiritual eye has no power of sight, for the deceptive light destroys it, just as the pure truth, the divine light, strengthens the eye and makes it able to recognise everything in the darkness as well as in the kingdom of light, and thus there is no wall for the spiritual eye which it could not penetrate. The deepest wisdom can be grasped by the person who stands in the right light of eternal truth. But he must be a believer and full of love.... The flame of love shall spread a bright glow, a light which shines brightly through the darkness and which always allows a beneficial power to be felt where a still blind eye endeavours to see.... Yet the light must not suddenly be brought to this blind person in spirit.... Loving understanding for his spiritual weakness, for his blind state must bring loving help.... Every now and then a ray of light and love must touch him, which will then surely tear the veil from his eyes, and the initial twilight shall now prove to the person that the right light can be found in the acceptance of truth, and he himself will long for truth....
