L'incostanza dei beni terreni - La loro distruzione

Dio vi vuole indicare quanto incostanti sono i beni del mondo e quanto poco valore hanno, perché dall'oggi al domani vi possono essere tolti, affinché non vi perdiate nel mondo. Il vostro pensare e tendere è rivolto soltanto ai beni terreni, e voi impiegate tutta la vostra forza vitale quasi sempre per aumentarli, ma sono dei beni morti a cui tendete, con i quali non potete fare nulla quando decedete da questa Terra. O dovete lasciare i beni del mondo con la morte del vostro corpo, oppure li perdete già prima. E quest'ultima perdita è una Grazia di Dio, una Grazia che Lui vi concede, affinché possiate giungere ancora alla conoscenza. Egli vi toglie il bene terreno, cioè Egli vi toglie ciò a cui è attaccato il vostro cuore, mentre lo distrugge o fa distruggere, affinché ora dobbiate riconoscere che erano soltanto dei beni apparenti, il cui possesso vi ha stimolato e che questi sono perituri. Solo quando avete riconosciuto questo, guiderete la vostra attenzione ai beni imperituri, allora l'opera di distruzione era una Benedizione. E questo è lo scopo di Dio, che gli uomini conquistino la conoscenza, che il loro tendere dev'essere per altri beni. Perciò Egli vi toglie ciò a cui è ancora attaccato il vostro cuore, vi mette nel mondo poveri e senza mezzi, ed allora vi dovete affermare, dovete separarvi volontariamente da ciò che Dio vi toglie, non dovete desiderare nulla di terreno, ma avere soltanto il desiderio per ciò che proviene dal Regno spirituale, allora avrete pure un successo spirituale ed anche la vita terrena sarà formata in modo molto più facile, perché ora non avete più bisogno di tali dimostrazioni dell'inutilità dei beni terreni, non sono più nessun pericolo per voi, di conseguenza li potete possedere; perché esiste il pericolo solamente, quando incatenate il vostro cuore alla materia, quando l'amore è invertito, quando si rivolge a ciò che l'uomo deve disdegnare nella vita terrena, e se a causa di questo dimentica la sua anima che gli è affidata, per la cui formazione è responsabile. Perciò agli uomini verranno tolte ancora molte cose, dovranno rinunciare a tutto e saranno inconsolabili e disperati, quando tutto scompare davanti ai loro occhi. Anche quest'opera di distruzione è soltanto un'Opera d'Amore di Dio, perché tutto ciò che è e che succede è per l'anima dell'uomo, affinché impari a riconoscere il suo vero compito, affinché raccolga dei tesori spirituali e lasci inosservato il bene terreno. I tesori spirituali hanno sussistenza in tutta l'Eternità, e solamente quando l'uomo rinuncia volontariamente alla Terra ed alle sue gioie, il suo cuore è maturo per dei Doni di altro genere, per dei Doni spirituali che gli vengono offerti dall'Amore del Padre, il Quale vuole riconquistare i Suoi figli; perché il figlio riconosce il valore di questi Doni solamente, quando ha riconosciuto l'inutilità dei beni terreni ed allora tende con tutti i sensi ai beni spirituali.

Impermanence of earthly goods.... their destruction....

So that you do not lose yourselves to the world, God wants to show you how impermanent the goods of the world are and how little value they have because they can be taken from you from one day to the next. Your thoughts and endeavours are only concerned with earthly goods, and you spend most of your life energy on increasing them, but they are dead goods that you strive for, with which you can do nothing when you depart from this earth. You either have to leave the goods of the world behind when you die or you lose them beforehand. And the latter is a grace from God.... a grace that He grants you so that you may still come to realize. He takes away your earthly possessions, i.e., He takes away what your heart is attached to by having them destroyed or annihilated so that you should now realize that they were only illusory possessions whose possession appealed to you and that they are transient. Only when you have recognized this will you turn your attention to imperishable goods, and then the work of destruction will have been a blessing. And this is God's first aim, that people gain the realization that they should strive for other possessions. And that is why He takes much from you what your heart still clings to, He places you poor and destitute into the world, and then you are to prove yourselves, you are to willingly separate yourselves from what God takes from you, you are to desire nothing earthly but only long for what comes from the spiritual kingdom, and then you will also have spiritual success, and your earthly existence will also become much easier, for now you no longer need such evidence of the worthlessness of earthly possessions, there is no longer any danger for you, consequently you are allowed to possess them; For only then does danger exist when your heart is chained to matter, when its love is wrong, when it turns towards that which the human being is supposed to despise in earthly life and when he forgets his soul, which is entrusted to him, for the shaping of which he is responsible. And therefore an infinite amount will still be taken from people, they will have to give up everything, and they will be inconsolable and despairing when everything passes away before their eyes. This work of destruction is also only a work of God's love, because everything is and happens only for the soul of man, so that it learns to recognize its actual task, so that it collects spiritual treasures and leaves earthly goods unnoticed. Spiritual treasures last for all eternity, and only when the human being willingly gives up the earth and its pleasures is his heart ready for gifts of a different kind, for spiritual gifts which are offered to him through the love of the father Who wants to win back His children. For he only recognizes the value of these gifts when he has recognized the worthlessness of earthly goods, and then he strives with all his senses for spiritual goods....
