La Divinità di Gesù - Strani segni nella sofferenza e morte di Gesù - La concessione contro il Cristianesimo

Deve iniziare un immenso lavoro se le anime guidate nell’errore devono ritrovare la fede nel divino Redentore, perché è già troppo radicata l’opinione, che il Salvatore sulla Terra era ben compenetrato dalla più profonda religiosità, ma che era di origine puramente umana e che il concetto della Sua Divinità si è formata a causa di ultraferventi confessori della Sua Dottrina e si è conservato attraverso dei secoli. E’ un’iniziativa molto difficile rendere comprensibile l’errore di confutare quest’opinione, perché in tutto questo tempo il ricordo alle Sue Azioni è fortemente impallidito, se ne prende conoscenza solo come leggenda, e così le Opere di Miracoli del Salvatore sulla Terra non possono più contribuire a risvegliare o consolidare la fede in Lui. L’umanità è abituata oggi ad un pensare così spassionato, che non ne ha nessuna comprensione e rinuncia senza alcun dubbio alla fede in Gesù Cristo come Figlio di Dio e presenta tutto lo Straordinario, che vorrebbe indicare attualmente ancora alla sofferenza e morte di Cristo, in breve lo presenta come prodotto di uomini malati e con ciò lo rifiuta. Ma ora il mondo dovrà comunque prendere notizia di una Vicenda, che metterà con evidenza davanti agli occhi degli uomini la sofferenza e la morte di Gesù, a loro verrà dato una dimostrazione di un genere così strano, che per loro dovrebbe ora essere facile credere, se soltanto usano bene la loro volontà. Ma anche allora l’umana scienza oserà una soluzione o spiegazione di questo strano fenomeno, e cercherà di scuotere e di distruggere ogni fede nel Signore e Salvatore. Ma l’Amore è sempre rivolto in continuazione sull’Aiuto per la miseria animica degli uomini e fa loro giungere indicazioni su indicazioni, e più attento l’uomo considera questo problema della Divenuta Uomo di Dio, più può essere convinto di essere stato indicato sulla retta via. Ma dove gli si sta di fronte totalmente impartecipe, un rivolgere a Cristo è indicibilmente difficile ed anche le Forze spirituali dell’aldilà non potranno fare molto. Perciò è di straordinario successo ed importante, che la generale assenza d’interesse si trasformi dapprima nel contrario, che ciò che era finora, l’esercizio meccanico del cosiddetto culto religioso, deve subire un forte scuotimento, per stimolare ora gli uomini alla riflessione ed indurre ad una qualche decisione. Solo quando esiste il pericolo di dover rinunciare a qualcosa, l’uomo riconosce quanto gli è prezioso, o se ne separa facilmente o comincia a lottare per il possesso, e questo è anche lo scopo delle lotte contro il Cristianesimo, che vengono concesse da Dio appunto allo scopo che l’uomo si decida liberamente e dia in genere attenzione al problema. Il numero di coloro che si confessano per Gesù Cristo, è da chiamare veramente molto piccolo contro coloro, che si dissociano da Lui volontariamente o coscientemente, ma a questi verrà dato anche qualche indicazione, per salvare ancora là dal naufragio ciò che cammina nella cecità. E dovrà essere ancora indicibilmente lottato per le anime, sia aldiquà come anche aldilà.

An immense amount of work has to be done if the misguided souls are to find their way back to faith in the divine redeemer, for the view is already too deeply rooted that the saviour on earth was indeed permeated by profound piety but that He was of purely human origin and that the concept of His divinity was formed by overzealous followers of His teachings and has persisted for centuries. It is very difficult to begin to make people understand the error of this opinion and to refute it, for throughout time the memory of His deeds has faded considerably.... they are only remembered as legends, and thus the miracles of the saviour on earth can no longer contribute to awakening or strengthening faith in Him. Humanity today is so used to sober thinking that it has no understanding for this and therefore gives up faith in Jesus Christ as the son of God without any hesitation and summarily portrays everything extraordinary that would like to point to Christ's suffering and death at the present time as the spawn of sick people and thus rejects it. But now the world will have to take notice of an event which will obviously and evidently make people aware of Jesus' suffering and death, and they will be given evidence of such a strange kind that it should be easy for them to believe if only they use their will correctly. Yet human science will again try to solve or explain this strange phenomenon and will try to shake and destroy all faith in the lord and saviour anew. Yet God's love is constantly intent on helping people's spiritual hardship and sends them hints upon hints, and the more attentively the human being pays attention to precisely this problem of God's incarnation, the more convinced he can be that he will be pointed to the right path. But where one is completely indifferent towards Him, turning to Christ is unspeakably difficult and the spiritual powers of the beyond do not have much effect either. That is why it is extremely successful and important that the general indifference first changes into the opposite.... that what has been up to now, the mechanical practice of the so-called divine service, has to suffer a strong shock in order to stimulate people to think and to cause them to make some kind of decision. Only when there is the danger of having to give something away does the human being realize to what extent such a thing is valuable to him.... he either parts with it easily or begins to fight for the possession, and this is also the purpose of all the fights against christianity, which are permitted by God precisely for the purpose that the human being should decide freely and pay attention to the problem in general. The number of those who profess Jesus Christ is truly very small compared to those who willingly or consciously renounce Him, but many a hint will still be given to them in order to save from destruction what is walking in blindness. And it will still be necessary to struggle unspeakably for the souls, both on this side and on the other....
