La lotta contro il male – La cura della vita interiore - Preoccupazioni abitudinarie

Vi dovrete sempre sforzare di combattere contro il potere del male, perché la sua astuzia e la sua perfidia sono incredibili e vi rigettano sempre di nuovo indietro, se non vi sforzate con tutte le forze di vincerli. E si serve di tutti i mezzi disponibili e cerca di distogliere i cuori dei credenti dal loro amore per Dio e la loro lotta per la perfezione. Questo gli riesce molto spesso, dato che da parte sua ha tutti i mezzi che sono vicini ai desideri degli uomini terreni, che esigono troppo volentieri l’esaudimento. Ma un cuore credente, che confida in Dio, potrà resistere a tutte le seduzioni e fascini di questo mondo, ed avrà la sua ricompensa, se serve il Padre nel Cielo con tutta la fedeltà. E colui che non si stanca nella lotta contro i poteri del maligno ha da aspettarsi con ciò il più grande vantaggio. L’uomo deve impiegare la massima attenzione nella cura della vita interiore, Allora gli si dischiuderà anche la Fonte della Sapienza. Deve cercare di evitare il minimo pericolo per la sua anima, mentre controlla sé stesso e con ciò non concede nessun potere su di sé al potere opposto. Appena osserva sé stesso, che tutti i moti umani sono in una certa opposizione contro le esigenze dell’anima, è in arrivo il pericolo, e se ora cede a questi moti, è fatto il primo passo per vacillare oppure per lasciare la retta via. Questo vi diventerà molto chiaro, quando aspirate alla viva unione con Dio e dovete riconoscere, come vi allontanate nello spirito dal Padre celeste, se cedete ai moti umani, e quale forza dovete impiegare, per sentirvi di nuovo proprio come figlio del Padre. Entrare nel giusto rapporto con Lui, sovente non è così difficile, che ristabilire il giusto rapporto quando è stato una volta allentato. E questo vi deve mettere in guardia. Allora sono sempre all’opera delle forze cattive, che vorrebbero distruggere ciò che le Forze buone hanno costruito. Seguite la voce interiore che vi dà sempre di nuovo l’indicazione, quanto più nobile sia di sopportare qualche disagio, che ribellarsi contro ingiustizie, la cui origine è sempre la mancanza di maturità spirituale. Ognuno si preoccupa di ciò che gli sembra la cosa più alta. Se ora questa preoccupazione è rivolta ai bisogni terreni, il senso dell’uomo è appunto ancora abbondantemente terreno, e da lui non ci si può aspettare, che si occupi di beni spirituali. Ed appunto ad un uomo spiritualmente progredito è incomprensibile occuparsi di preoccupazioni terrene, perché ha imparato a considerare queste come irrilevanti e non importanti e non può comprendere, che il tempo, la forza e la volontà non vengano impiegati più utili per l’Eternità. L’uomo terreno non vuole sovente fare a meno delle preoccupazioni per vecchia abitudine, egli ha la possibilità di privarsene, se affida tutto all’eterna Divinità, ma preferisce rimanerne aggravato lui stesso ed evita ogni Aiuto che gli viene offerto. E’ difficile avvicinare una tale anima, per procurarle la pace interiore. Ma allora il prossimo si deve poi adoperare nel più grande amore e pazienza e cercare sempre di nuovo di istruire mene un uomo così smarrito, ogni volta che è necessario, perché una volta si stanca anche ogni resistenza e rimarrà sempre vincitore colui che si esercita nella pazienza, ma non lascia mai sorgere il disamore, ma chiede al Padre nel Cielo la Benedizione per la sua impresa, di guidare bene l’uomo errante e di aiutarlo a trovare la pace interiore.

Fight against evil.... care of the inner life.... habitual worries....

You will always have to make an effort to fight against the power of the evil one, for his cunning and trickery are unbelievable and will repeatedly throw you back if you do not make every effort to become his master. And he uses all available means and tries to turn the hearts of the believers away from their love for God and their struggle for perfection. And he very often succeeds in doing so, as he has all means on his side that are closer to the desires of earthly people, who are all too happy to demand fulfilment. Yet a believing heart that trusts in God will be able to resist all the incentives and temptations of this world and will be rewarded if it faithfully serves the father in heaven. And it can therefore expect the greatest advantage, which will not falter in the battle with the evil powers....

Man should take the greatest care to cultivate his inner life, then the source of wisdom will also open up to him. He should endeavour to avert the slightest danger to his soul by taming himself and thus not allowing the opposing power to gain control over him. As soon as he realizes that all human impulses are in certain opposition to the demands of the soul, danger is imminent, and if he now gives in to these impulses, the first step has been taken towards stumbling or deviating from the right path. This becomes very clear to you when you strive for a living bond with God and have to recognize how you distance yourselves in spirit from the heavenly father if you give in to human impulses.... and what force you have to use in order to feel like a child of the father again. Entering into the right relationship with Him is often not as difficult as restoring the right relationship once it has been loosened. And this should warn you. There are always bad forces at work that want to destroy what the good forces have built up. Follow the inner voice that keeps telling you how much nobler it is to endure adversity than to rebel against injustice, which always stems from a lack of spiritual maturity. Everyone cares about what he considers to be the highest.... If this concern is for earthly needs, man's mind is still very much earthly and he can hardly be expected to concern himself with spiritual goods. And in the same way the absorption in earthly worries is so incomprehensible to a spiritually advanced person because he has learnt to regard them as trivial and unimportant and he cannot understand that time, strength and will are not used more profitably for eternity. Earthly man so often does not want to do without worry out of old habit.... he has the opportunity to get rid of it if he trustingly entrusts everything to the eternal deity, but he prefers to remain burdened with it himself and avoids all help offered to him. And it is difficult to help such a soul to achieve inner peace. But then the fellow human being should exercise the greatest love and patience and repeatedly try to instruct such an erring person correctly as often as possible, for all resistance will fade one day and the victor will always remain who exercises patience, never allows unkindness to arise and asks the father in heaven for a blessing for his endeavour to guide the erring person correctly and to help him achieve inner peace.
