Porter la croix avec patience et résignation

À l'homme s’ouvrent des possibilités illimitées pour autant qu’il soit prêt à se former selon la Volonté de Dieu, pour autant qu’il travaille en connaissance de cause sur son âme. Et cela jusqu’à ce qu’il reconnaisse que son but terrestre est la formation vers le Haut de son âme, son parcours terrestre est une infinie série d'occasions où il peut atteindre cette maturité spirituelle à travers l'autodépassement et un amour actif pour le prochain. Et donc sa vie terrestre lui apportera jusqu'à cette heure des épreuves dans lesquelles il devra s'affirmer. Il ne la passera plus sans lutter, mais vraiment dans la lutte sa volonté deviendra de fer et sa Force augmentera. Donc il lui semblera que la vie est faite de résistances et de misères, plutôt que de pouvoir se donner tranquillement aux joies de la vie. Celles-ci sont les premiers rochers sur lesquelles son petit bateau de vie ne doit pas se broyer ; il doit être guidé avec une main sûre et dans une confiance croyante en Dieu autour de tous les rochers, seulement alors il s'affirmera et exploitera les opportunités pour le développement spirituel vers le Haut. Jésus Christ Lui-Même l'a donné comme tâche aux hommes avec ces Mots : «Celui qui veut Me suivre, doit prendre volontairement sur lui sa croix.» Il ne dit pas qu'Il veut leur enlever la croix, qu'Il veut les dégrever ; au contraire Il leur annonce que prendre la suite de Jésus consiste dans le fait de supporter la croix qu'Il charge sur les hommes. L'indicible souffrance que Jésus Christ a pris sur Lui, était l'Expiation pour la grande faute des péchés de l'humanité. Il a porté Sa Croix sans murmure et sans se plaindre. Ce qu’Il a supporté pour l'humanité, a éteint sa faute. Celui qui veut suivre Jésus, doit en même temps expirer pour l'humanité coupable, c'est-à-dire porter la souffrance que l'humanité a chargée sur elle à cause du péché. L'amour pour le prochain doit maintenant inciter l'homme à porter la souffrance pour son péché, c'est-à-dire diminuer la faute des péchés par la souffrance et ainsi être actif d’une manière salvatrice sur la Terre. Et l'homme affectueux sera aussi toujours prêt parce que son âme sait la situation d’asservissement qui est accrochée à la grande faute des péchés et elle voudrait les aider. Et donc chaque homme qui est dans l'amour ne se rebellera pas contre la Volonté divine, si Celle-ci le charge d’une croix et que maintenant sa vie terrestre ne s’écoule plus dans une paix calme. Il sait que pour le développement vers le Haut de l'âme une existence sans lutte ne serait pas adaptée, et donc il ne se rebelle pas, même si la croix lui semble insupportable. Et donc l'homme ne doit pas être découragé, si sa vie lui semble apparemment plus difficile que celle du prochain, mais Dieu ne met pas sur l'homme une charge plus lourde que ce qu’il peut porter, et c’est la Force de Dieu qui lui fait porter plus facilement cette croix. C’est cet apport de Force que l'homme doit demander consciemment dans la prière, et qui doit obligatoirement être demandé. Car alors chaque croix, pour autant qu’elle puisse sembler lourde, n'est plus un poids insupportable comme auparavant. Prendre sur soi la Croix du Christ signifie s'adapter à tout sans murmurer et sans contester ce que Dieu envoie sur l'homme. Parce que la plus petite résistance suspend la Force divine, et l'homme doit lutter beaucoup pour pouvoir rester victorieux dans la lutte de la vie et être actif d’une manière salvatrice déjà sur la Terre. Il doit cependant toujours reconnaître l'Amour de Dieu dans toute souffrance, dans la croix qui est chargée sur lui, parce qu’Il voudrait faire arriver l'homme à la perfection spirituelle et la voie qui est la plus rapide et la plus sûre est de prendre sur soi la croix avec patience et résignation à la Volonté de Dieu et de suivre le divin Seigneur et Sauveur.

Bearing the cross in patience and surrender....

Unlimited possibilities open up to the human being as long as he is willing to shape himself according to God's will, that is, as long as he consciously works on his soul. From the hour of realizing that his purpose on earth is the higher education of his soul, his earthly course is an endless series of opportunities where he can attain this spiritual maturity through self-conquest and active neighbourly love. And so his earthly life will bring trials from the very beginning in which he should prove himself.... Nor will it pass him by without a fight, but it is precisely in the struggle that his will will be strengthened and his strength increased. So life will appear to him to consist of opposition and hardship much sooner than he will be able to indulge in unclouded joy of life. These are the first cliffs on which his little ship of life must not be wrecked; he must steer it round all cliffs with a sure hand and with faithful trust in God, only then will he prove himself and utilize the opportunities for higher spiritual development. Jesus Christ Himself made it a task for people with the words: Whoever wants to follow Me must willingly take up his cross.... He does not say that He wants to take away their cross, that He wants to relieve them; on the contrary, He announces to them that following Jesus consists of bearing the cross that He imposes on people. The unspeakable suffering that Jesus Christ took upon Himself was the atonement for mankind's great guilt of sin. He bore His cross without grumbling or complaining. What He endured for mankind thus cancelled their guilt, as it were. Whoever wants to follow Jesus must therefore also atone for sinful humanity, i.e. bear the suffering that humanity has brought upon itself through sin. Love for one's fellow human being should now move the person to bear suffering for his sin, i.e. to reduce the guilt of sin through suffering and thereby be active on earth in a redeeming way. And the loving person will also always be willing to do so, for his soul knows about the downtrodden situation of those who are entangled in great guilt of sin and wants to help them. And therefore every loving person will not rebel against divine will if the latter imposes a cross on him and his earthly life no longer passes by in quiet peacefulness. He knows that an existence without a fight would not be suitable for the soul's higher development and thus he will not rebel either, even if the cross seems unbearable to him. And therefore the human being should not be despondent if his life appears to be more difficult than that of his fellow human being, yet God does not impose a heavier fate on the human being than he can endure, and it is the strength from God which makes this cross easier for him.... It is the supply of strength which man can consciously ask for, but which must also be asked for.... But then every cross, no matter how heavy it seems, is no longer as heavy a burden as before. But taking up the cross of Christ means submitting to everything that God sends upon man without grumbling or resistance. For the slightest resistance cancels out the working of divine power, and the human being must struggle hard so that he can remain victorious in the battle of life and already be able to be redemptively active on earth.... He only ever has to recognize God's love in all suffering, in the cross imposed on him, which wants to let the human being attain spiritual perfection and is the quickest and surest way to take up the cross in all patience and submission to God's will and to follow the divine lord and saviour....
