Œuvre humaine ajoutée – la fréquentation de l'église

Tout ce qui rappelle Dieu doit procurer du succès à l'homme s'il l'exécute ou s’il l'emploie. Cela doit mener à Dieu, mais seulement sous la condition que tout ce qui est exigé soit exécuté de façon vivante, mais chaque manière de faire ne mène pas au succès. Un homme arrivera au but plus facilement, un autre avec plus de difficultés par le fait que ce dernier choisit une voie qui est très difficile à parcourir, alors qu'une autre est facile, et peut être aussi un service joyeux de Dieu. L'homme se soumet donc à des conditions qui ne lui ont pas été posées par Dieu. Il est instructif de prendre connaissance des enseignements spécifiques qui ont été joints en tant qu’œuvre humaine ajoutée à la Doctrine du Christ. En premier la fréquentation de l'église a été rendue obligatoire, ce qui n'est pas toujours à l'avantage du spirituel, mais peut agir comme un abrutissement de l'esprit. C’est une opinion extraordinairement erronée que l'homme avec cela se tournerait davantage vers Dieu, il y a plutôt le danger que, quelque chose qui doit être une très profonde expérience intérieure, devienne une action mécanique. Pour celui qui cherche Dieu vraiment partout, la visite dans une église ne sera pas nuisible, mais il peut trouver en tout temps et partout le contact avec Dieu et pour cela il n'y a besoin d'aucun lieu particulier. Ainsi l’église serait nécessaire seulement pour l’écoute de la Parole de Dieu si elle n'est pas accessible autrement à l'homme, et cela aura lieu avec le très plein Assentiment de Dieu tant que la transmission de la Parole divine est bien le but de la visite dans l'église. Toutes les autres actions cérémoniales sont plus ou moins des œuvres ajoutées par des hommes et pour motiver le concept de service divin, bien que servir Dieu soit à entendre d’une façon entièrement différente que d'assister à de telles actions, qui n'ont rien à faire avec le vrai travail sur l'âme. Il est entièrement insignifiant et sans importance si et jusqu'où l'homme suit la prescription qui est exigée pour l'appartenance à l'église Catholique-romaine. L'Église que Jésus Christ a fondée sur la Terre, n'a en soi rien à faire avec l'extériorité. Elle doit pouvoir être reconnue sans l'extériorité dans ses plus profonds Fondements et donc cette extériorité ne doit pas nécessairement être un obstacle pour reconnaître l'authentique Doctrine du Christ et vivre en conséquence, mais vice versa cette extériorité n'en fait pas partie nécessairement pour être un vrai chrétien selon la Volonté de Dieu. Il n'est pas difficile de reconnaître que vraiment beaucoup de formalités repoussent les hommes, et Jésus Christ n'a pas vraiment conditionné l'entrée dans l'éternelle Béatitude au respect de ces commandements délivrés par des hommes comme : la visite régulière de l'église, l'assistance à une action qui est purement un spectacle théâtral construit par des hommes sans aucune valeur ni influence sur l'âme humaine. Les hommes doivent penser que le Seigneur sur la Terre est un Adversaire de l'extériorité, qu'Il n'a rien fait pour renforcer avec efficacité Sa Parole, à l'exception des Actes de Miracles qui devaient montrer aux hommes Sa Divinité. Mais Il n'a jamais accompli quelque chose qui pourrait justifier ou motiver de quelque façon ces formalités introduites par des hommes sans aucun sens plus profond que justement celui soutenu par des hommes. Cela ne pourra jamais correspondre à la Volonté divine, donc être exigé des hommes comme preuve de leur obéissance à la Doctrine du Christ.

Human additions.... Attendance at church....

Everything in relation to God has to result in success for a person providing he complies with or makes use of it.... It will have to lead to God.... but only if all requirements are actually adhered to. Formality, however, will not lead to success. It is merely easier for one person and more difficult for another to reach the objective, in as much as the latter has chosen to walk an exceptionally difficult path, whereas the other path is easier but can be an equally joyful service to God. Hence the human being is submitting himself to conditions which were not required of him by God. It is helpful to become aware of the individual teachings which were added by people to the teaching of Christ. First of all, attendance at church was made a duty, which is not always spiritually beneficial but can also be soul-destroying.

The idea that the human being will turn more towards God by going to church is extremely misguided; instead he is far more at risk of turning what should be a profound inner experience into a habitual act. The true aspirant will look for God everywhere, his church attendance will certainly not harm him but he can find contact with God anytime and anywhere and will not need a particular place for it. Therefore it would only be necessary to hear God’s Word if it is not made accessible to the person elsewhere, and this will only find God’s complete agreement as long as the purpose of attending church is just the said imparting of the divine Word. All other ceremonial activities are embellishments which were more than less added by people and nowadays motivate the concept of a service to God, although something entirely different than attending such practices, which have nothing in common with the real work of the soul, is meant by serving God.

It is entirely unimportant and inconsequential whether and to what extent the human being will comply with the requirements which are prerequisite of belonging to the Roman-Catholic church. The church founded by Jesus Christ on earth has nothing to do with external appearances. In spite of its external manifestations its profound principles can certainly be recognised, and thus they need not be obstacles to recognising Jesus Christ’s true teachings and to living accordingly. Alternatively however, these external manifestations are not necessarily needed in order to be a true Christian in accordance with God’s will. It is not difficult to see that people are put off precisely because of the many formalities, and Jesus Christ certainly did not consider that the achievement of eternal bliss depended on the fulfilment of humanly decreed commandments such as attending church regularly, taking part in an action which is likewise a humanly devised theatrical play that is of no benefit for and has no influence on the human soul.

People should consider that the Lord on earth objected to outward appearances, that He did nothing in order to emphasize His Word effectively, with the exception of miracles, which intended to prove His Divinity to people. However, He has never done anything that could justify or somehow substantiate the above actions today but they are mere humanly introduced formalities which have no other deeper meaning than what people had assigned to them. And this can never correspond with divine will, thus it cannot be required of people as evidence for complying with the teaching of Christ....
