Aversión al alimento espiritual.... Obstáculo....

Enormes obstáculos aparecen ante el alma si el ser humano tiene aversión al alimento espiritual. Él amontona el baluarte cada vez más alto que se supone debe desmantelar, y esto se manifiesta en una mundanidad cada vez mayor, en un gran interés por todo lo mundano, mientras que al alma se presta escasa atención. Estas personas pasan la mayor parte de su vida en la inactividad del espíritu, porque utilizan todo su pensamiento sólo en lo que es tangible para ellos y se aferran a ello con extrema tenacidad, sin considerar que todo termina con su partida de este mundo.

Consideran inútil o infructuoso preocuparse por la salvación de su alma, o se aferran a creencias falsas o adoración falsa y están convencidos de su infalibilidad, de modo que creen que no necesitan instrucción. Y lo que ahora se les podría ofrecer para su alma, lo dejaron pasar desapercibido.... Eso deprime el alma y se adormece con placeres elegidos por si misma a los que no se puede atribuir ningún valor espiritual. Y así llegará la hora de la muerte y con ella la comprensión de haber rechazado la gracia más grande que el Señor concedió a los hombres.

Esta comprensión es extremadamente amarga, porque lo que sucedió nunca puede revertirse y, por lo tanto, no se puede dar al alma posteriormente un grado de madurez si el tiempo en la tierra no se aprovechó en la medida de lo posible. El Señor conduce a cada hombre hacia la proximidad de la obra divina; es siempre el hombre mismo que decide si aprovecha esta oportunidad y por tanto madura espiritualmente o no se da cuenta y permanece espiritualmente en el mismo nivel. Y si los hombres quisieran considerar esto, que entran al más allá sin estar preparados, por así decirlo, y luego piensan en los muchos días que podían haberles traído un progreso espiritual su hubieran estado dispuestos, entonces ahora tendrían que reunir toda su fuerza de voluntad para aprovechar todas las oportunidades que se les presenten.

Porque es difícil recuperar algo que el ser humano perdió en la tierra, aunque en el más allá el alma todavía dispone de oportunidades para alcanzar niveles más altos. Pero nunca es posible alcanzar la perfección en poco tiempo que la vida en la tierra puede brindar a un hombre dispuesto. Sólo aquellos que continúen esforzándose, es decir, que consideren primero su alma antes de hacerle algo a su cuerpo, podrá alcanzar un nivel muy alto en la tierra, mientras que en el más allá se requiere un tiempo inimaginable largo para eso. Porque la vida en la tierra es una gracia para el hombre, le ha sido concedida para la completa redención del alma pero no siempre se utiliza de tal manera para que el hombre pueda entrar en el reino de la luz inmediatamente después de su muerte, que promete una dicha inesperada.

Lo que el hombre no quiso escuchar en la tierra, tendrá que aceptarlo en el más allá si no quiere permanecer inactivo en el nivel más bajo como un espíritu imperfecto y depender de la misericordia de los seres de luz o de las oraciones de los seres humanos que aún están en la tierra.... Y este es el destino de aquellos que rechazan lo que se les ofrece desde arriba y que no hacen ningún intento por mejorar su estado del alma, porque se enfrentan a una tarea casi insuperable cuando finalmente les llega el conocimiento....

Aversion to spiritual food.... obstacle....

Enormous obstacles are placed in front of the soul if the human being has an aversion to spiritual food. He piles up the bulwark higher and higher, which he is supposed to remove, and this manifests itself in ever greater worldliness, in keen interest in all earthly things, while the soul is only poorly thought of. Such people spend by far the greater part of their life in inactivity of spirit, for they spend all their thinking only on what is tangible to them and cling to it with extreme tenacity, not realizing that everything comes to an end with their departure from this world. They call concern for their soul's salvation useless and fruitless, or they cling to sham faith and sham worship and are convinced of their infallibility so that they believe they need no instruction. And what could be offered to them for their souls they let pass by unnoticed.... This depresses the soul and it anaesthetizes itself with self-chosen pleasures to which no spiritual value can be attributed. And so the hour of death will come and with it the realization that it has rejected the greatest grace the lord has bestowed on people. This realization is extremely bitter, for the event can never be reversed and thus the soul cannot be given a degree of maturity afterwards either if the time on earth was not used as far as possible. The lord leads every human being into the proximity of divine activity, the human being himself is always the decisive factor as to whether he utilizes this opportunity and thus matures spiritually or takes no notice of it at all and thus remains spiritually on the same level. And if people would consider this, that they enter the beyond unprepared as it were, and then think of the many days which could have brought them spiritual progress if only they had been willing, then they would now have to muster all willpower to make use of all opportunities. For it is difficult to make up for what the human being failed to do on earth, even though the soul will still be given opportunities to ascend in the beyond. However, it is never possible to achieve the perfection in a short time that earthly life can bring to a willing person. Only he who strives continuously, i.e. who first considers his soul before he does something to his body, will be able to reach a very high level already on earth, which requires an unimaginably long time in the beyond. For earthly life is a blessing for the human being, it has been granted to him for the soul's complete redemption, yet it is not always utilized such that the human being can enter the kingdom of light, which promises unimaginable delights, immediately after his passing away. What the human being did not want to hear on earth he will have to accept in the beyond if he does not want to remain inactive on the lowest level as an unfinished spirit and be dependent on the mercy of the beings of light or the prayers of people still on earth.... And this is the fate of those who reject what is offered to them from above and make no effort whatsoever to improve the state of their soul, for they are faced with an almost insurmountable task when realization finally comes to them....
