Fight against selfish love....

Much is demanded of you if you are still completely dominated by selfish love, for then it means a struggle for you to overcome it and change it into unselfish neighbourly love. But you must remember that you only take care of your body as long as you satisfy your selfish love and that you do not collect any spiritual treasures which will one day make up your wealth in the kingdom of the beyond. You must remember that your stay on this earth is not eternal but that you have to fulfil a task: to change your nature into love; for you enter earth as a human being with only a small degree of pure, selfless love, which you should now increase if you don't first have to kindle love in yourselves.... But selfish love dominates you, and you should suppress it, which always means a fight against all desires which demand fulfilment for physical comfort. Your attention must be directed towards your fellow human being, and it must be the human being's endeavour to carry out works of love if he wants to change himself, i.e. his nature, into love. He must learn to renounce for the sake of his neighbour, he must be willing to make sacrifices for the sake of his neighbour, he must be urged from within to do good to his fellow human being, and his self-love will become ever smaller the stronger the human being's will. And that is why it is said that the “kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and only the one who needs violence seizes it for himself'." Whose selfish love is still very strong will have to use great violence to reduce it, the charms of the world will constantly be placed before him, for God's adversary will tempt him wherever he can, and it will be difficult to resist all those temptations, he will have to use violence.... but he will succeed as soon as his will strives to fulfil his earthly task: to change his nature. He will be supplied with strength because he wants to reach his aim.... And in order for him to strive towards this aim he will repeatedly be reminded of the commandments of love for God and his neighbour, and if he is of good will he will first only fulfil his duty, he will strive to fulfil God's commandments.... until he is then driven from within to work of love and the fight against selfish love becomes ever less, for he will become victorious over himself if he is of good will. Yet most people are dominated by selfish love, they only think of themselves, love has grown cold in them and therefore they cannot become overcomers, they will only ever seek earthly advantages and not think of their life after death.... And their fate will be a bitter one, for they will enter the kingdom of the beyond poor and miserable, where it will also be difficult for them to ascend, because even then they will not want to give up their selfish love, because even then they will only think of their own fate and the fate of other souls will not affect them. It is particularly difficult for these souls to relinquish their selfish love, and they will have to remain in adversity and torment for a long time before they change and turn their gaze to the souls in the same predicament. For this reason anyone who still gives up his selfish love before he has to surrender his earthly life is to be called blessed on earth.... For once the soul has become acquainted with true love it will also be able to detach itself more easily from what it would otherwise not want to give away for its own sake. And then the danger will no longer be so great when it enters the kingdom of the beyond; then it will also be able to feel love for its neighbour and ascend more easily, one day it will also attain beatitude, because the more it practices love itself the more its love will increase. And it will have much opportunity to do so, for God helps every soul so that it can detach itself from darkness and reach the light...._>Amen

Luta contra o amor-próprio....

Muito se exige de vós se ainda sois completamente dominados pelo amor egoísta, pois então significa uma luta para que o superes e o transformes em amor altruísta ao próximo. Mas deveis lembrar-vos de que só cuidais do vosso corpo, desde que satisfaçais o vosso amor egoísta e que não recolheis nenhum tesouro espiritual que um dia venha a constituir a vossa riqueza no reino do além. Tens de te lembrar que a tua estadia nesta terra não é eterna, mas que tens de cumprir uma tarefa: transformar a tua natureza em amor, pois entras na terra como um ser humano com apenas um pequeno grau de amor puro e altruísta, que agora deves aumentar se não tiveres primeiro de acender o amor em ti mesmo.... Mas o amor egoísta domina-vos, e deveis suprimi-lo, o que significa sempre uma luta contra todos os desejos que exigem a realização de um conforto físico. Sua atenção deve ser dirigida ao seu semelhante, e deve ser o esforço do ser humano para realizar obras de amor se ele quiser mudar a si mesmo, isto é, a sua natureza, em amor. Ele deve aprender a renunciar pelo bem do próximo, deve estar disposto a fazer sacrifícios pelo bem do próximo, deve ser instado por dentro a fazer o bem ao próximo, e o seu amor próprio se tornará cada vez menor quanto mais forte for a vontade do ser humano. E é por isso que se diz que "o reino dos céus sofre violência, e só quem precisa de violência é que a agarra para si". "Cujo amor-próprio ainda é muito forte terá de usar grande violência para o reduzir, os encantos do mundo serão constantemente colocados diante dele, pois o adversário de Deus o tentará onde puder, e será difícil resistir a todas essas tentações, ele terá de usar a violência.... mas ele será bem sucedido assim que a sua vontade se esforçar para cumprir a sua tarefa terrena: mudar a sua natureza. Ele será abastecido de força porque quer atingir seu objetivo.... E para que ele se esforce por esse objectivo, será repetidamente recordado dos mandamentos do amor a Deus e ao próximo e, se for de boa vontade, só cumprirá primeiro o seu dever, esforçar-se-á por cumprir os mandamentos de Deus.... até que ele seja conduzido de dentro para dentro para o trabalho de amor e a luta contra o amor próprio se torne cada vez menos, pois ele se tornará vitorioso sobre si mesmo se for de boa vontade. Contudo, a maioria das pessoas são dominadas pelo amor egoísta, só pensam em si mesmas, o amor tornou-se frio nelas e, por isso, não se podem tornar vencidas, só procurarão vantagens terrestres e não pensarão na sua vida após a morte.... E o seu destino será amargo, porque entrarão no reino do além pobre e miserável, onde também lhes será difícil ascender, porque mesmo assim não quererão desistir do seu amor egoísta, porque mesmo assim só pensarão no seu próprio destino e o destino de outras almas não lhes tocará. É particularmente difícil para estas almas renunciarem ao seu amor egoísta, e terão de permanecer na adversidade e no tormento por muito tempo, antes de mudarem e voltarem os olhos para as almas na mesma situação difícil. Por esta razão, qualquer pessoa que ainda desista do seu amor-próprio antes de ter que desistir da vida terrena deve ser chamada de bem-aventurada na Terra.... Porque uma vez que a alma se tenha familiarizado com o verdadeiro amor, também será capaz de se desapegar mais facilmente daquilo que de outra forma não quereria dar por si mesma. E então o perigo deixará de ser tão grande quando entrar no reino do além; então poderá também sentir amor pelo próximo e ascender mais facilmente, um dia alcançará também a bem-aventurança, porque quanto mais praticar o próprio amor, tanto mais o seu amor aumentará. E terá muitas oportunidades para o fazer, pois Deus ajuda cada alma para que se possa desligar das trevas e alcançar a luz...._>Amém
