Grave importance of life on earth....

No human being is fully aware of the significance of earthly life, and no human being knows what he can acquire in this earthly life. The knowledge of it can certainly be conveyed to him, he can also accept it as true and let it take effect on him, but he can never grasp the great spiritual correlations, nor can he foresee the effect of a correctly lived earthly change, because he does not know the radiant strength he once had towards his God and creator and that his final aim is the same bliss again in full possession of light and strength.... As a human being he is too limited in his thinking and could never grasp what was in the beginning and what is to be achieved again. But again and again God tries to expand this still limited thinking, and the human being himself can also do so if he breaks the shackles of his soul, if he begins to dissolve the dense shells around it, which can happen through a life of love, because the latter is already a slow reshaping to the former nature.... thus can also remove all limitations. But as long as the human being lives on earth he will not be able to exceed certain limits, for a person's love is rarely so overwhelming that it is also able to remove the soul's last cover already on earth. But once it enters the kingdom of the beyond after the death of the body, then its state can already be very full of light, and then it will also recognize the correlations, and it will know what unheard-of grace earthly life means for every human being.... But this recognition cannot be given to it by God, it must have acquired it itself, which happens through a life of love. And therefore people also don't know about the significance of a life of love.... They don't know about it until they lead it themselves, but then their thinking is no longer limited either, it reaches far into God's plan of creation and salvation, and the soul comes ever closer to God as its father of eternity. Many a soul will feel bitter remorse when it has to realize in the kingdom of the beyond how little it has valued its earthly life, what state it could have reached and how far it has fallen behind due to its own fault. For every soul's attention is drawn to this, every soul is stimulated in earthly life to work with love, and in various ways it is also given knowledge to which it can adjust itself. But a person may never be influenced by force, and therefore God will not make him unfree in his thinking either. But he could exceed the limits set for him in his earthly form himself. And precisely this is what the soul will have to realize one day, that it would also have been possible for it to acquire light and strength in earthly life.... it will have to realize that only its own will prevented it from being lovingly active, but that it would have been possible to be lovingly active.... For every person has the opportunity to do so, every person is addressed by his fellow human being's adversity.... but every human being also has free will. And thus this free will is both the impetus for activity in love as well as the reason for refraining from good works. And therefore the human being has to answer for his will or also: The will determines his further fate in eternity. And for the testing of this will the human being was given earthly life, which can bring him unbelievably glorious things but can also put him into an agonizing state.... If only the awareness of responsibility can be awakened in people, if only the significance of earthly life can be presented to them so that they seriously think about it, then the possibility is already given that they will think about themselves and their shortcomings, and the work on their souls can begin, i.e., the human being can endeavour to live in accordance with God's will.... and this also always means practicing love towards his neighbour.... And the blessing of such an activity of love will not fail to materialize, for the human being will start to think differently, he will be able to explain to himself many things which were previously incomprehensible to him, he will increasingly direct his thoughts into the spiritual kingdom, cover after cover will fall from his soul.... But only love is able to bring about this change in his nature, only love is his soul's only remedy which, however, works safely and puts the soul into a state that it can now leave earthly life permeable to light.... that it now recognizes itself as God's creature which once left Him but may return to Him again....

이 땅의 삶의 아주 중요한 의미.

어떤 사람도 이 땅에 삶의 의미를 모두 다 의식하지 못한다. 어떤 사람도 이 땅의 삶을 통해 자신이 무엇을 얻을 수 있는지 알지 못한다. 이에 관한 지식을 실제 그에게 전할 수 있다. 그는 이 지식을 진리로 영접할 수 있고 자신에게 역사하게 할 수 있다.

그러나 그는 절대로 큰 영적인 연관관계를 이해할 수 없다. 그는 올바르게 사는 이 땅에 삶이 주는 효과를 개관해볼 수 없다. 왜냐면 그가 한때 어떠한 빛나는 능력을 가지고 자신의 창조주 하나님을 향해 거했고 그의 마지막 목표가 빛과 능력을 모두 소유한 같은 축복에 다시 도달하는 일임을 알지 못하기 때문이다.

그는 인간으로써 그의 생각은 제한이 되어 있고 원래 초기에 무엇이었는지 무엇에 다시 도달해야 하는지 절대 이해할 수 없다. 그러나 하나님 편에서 항상 또 다시 이런 제한 된 생각을 확장시키려고 시도하고 사람이 스스로 자신의 혼의 묶임을 푼다면, 그가 혼을 둘러싸고 있는 모든 형체를 분해시키기 시작하면, 이 일이 가능하다. 이 일은 사랑의 삶을 통해 일어날 수 있다.

왜냐면 사랑의 삶은 이미 서서히 한때 가졌던 성품으로 다시 만들기 때문에 그러므로 모든 제한을 없앨 수 있기 때문이다. 그러나 사람이 이 땅에 거하는 동안에는 어느 정도의 제한을 넘어설 수 없다.

왜냐면 사람의 사랑이 단지 희귀하게 아주 강하여 이 땅에서 이미 마지막 겉형체를 버릴 수 있을 정도가 되기 때문이다. 그러나 혼이 육체의 죽음 후에 한번 저세상에 들어가면, 혼의 상태는 이미 아주 빛이 충만하게 될 수 있다. 그러면 혼은 연관관계를 깨닫는다. 혼은 모든 사람에게 이 땅의 삶이 얼마나 측량할 수 없는 은혜를 의미하는지 안다.

이런 깨달음의 은혜를 하나님 편에서 혼에게 줄 수 없다. 혼은 스스로 이런 깨달음을 얻어야만 한다. 깨달음을 얻는 일은 사랑의 삶을 통해 일어난다. 그러므로 사람이 사랑의 삶의 의미를 알지 못한다. 사람은 그 자신이 사랑의 삶을 살기까지 이 의미를 알지 못한다. 그러나 사랑의 삶을 살면, 그의 생각은 더 이상 제한을 받지 않는다.

그의 생각은 하나님의 창조 계획과 구원계획에까지 확장 된다. 혼은 영원한 그의 아버지로서 하나님께 더욱 가까이 다가간다. 많은 혼들이 저세상에서 그들이 이 땅의 삶을 얼마나 적게 활용하였는지 깨달아야만 하면, 그들이 어떤 상태에 도달할 수 있었는지 깨달으면, 자기 자신의 잘못으로 그들이 얼마나 퇴보한 상태 있는지를 깨달으면, 그들은 쓰라린 후회에 빠질 것이다.

왜냐면 모든 혼들이 이에 관해 주의를 기울이게 되기 때문이다. 모든 혼들은 이 땅에 삶에서 사랑을 행하게 자극을 받는다. 혼에게 서로 다른 방식으로 지식을 주어 혼 스스로 이 지식에 대한 자세를 정할 수 있다. 그러나 절대로 사람들에게 강요하는 역사를 해서는 안 된다. 그러므로 하나님은 그들의 생각을 자유롭지 못하게 만들지 않는다.

그러나 그가 스스로 세상 형체 아래 자신에게 놓여 있는 자신의 제한을 극복할 수 있다. 혼은 언젠가 이 땅에서 자신에게 빛과 능력을 얻을 수 있는 일이 가능했다는 것을 볼 수 있게 돼야만 할 것이다. 혼은 단지 자신의 의지가 사랑의 역사를 행하는 것을 막았음을 그러나 자신이 사랑을 행하는 일이 가능 했다는 것을 깨닫게 돼야만 할 것이다.

왜냐면 모든 사람이 사랑을 행할 기회를 받기 때문이고 모든 사람이 자신의 이웃들의 위험을 통해 요청을 받기 때문이다. 그러나 모든 사람은 자유의지를 가지고 있다. 바로 이 자유의지가 사랑으로 행하는 원인이 될 수 있고 선한 일을 행하지 않는 원인이 될 수 있다.

그러므로 사람이 자신의 의지에 대한 책임을 져야만 한다. 의지가 영원 가운데 자신의 미래 운명을 정한다. 이런 의지를 시험하기 위해 믿을 수 없는 영광을 주는 이 땅의 삶이 그러나 사람들을 고통이 충만한 상태에 빠질 수 있게 하는 이 땅의 삶이 사람들에게 주어졌다.

사람 안에 책임감을 깨어나게 하는 일이 가능하면, 그에게 이 땅의 삶의 중요성을 소개할 수 있게 되어 그가 진지하게 이 땅의 삶에 대해 생각하면, 자신과 자신의 부족함을 생각할 수 있는 가능성이 그에게 주어진다. 그는 자신의 혼을 위해 작업하는 일이 시작할 수 있다. 다시 말해 사람은 하나님의 뜻에 합당하게 살려고 노력할 수 있다.

이것이 의미하는 것은 항상 이웃에게 사랑을 행하는 일이다. 이런 사랑을 행하는 일에 축복은 없지 않게 될 것이다. 왜냐면 사람이 다르게 생각하기 시작하기 때문이다. 그는 그에게 지금까지 이해할 수 없었던 여러 가지 일들을 설명할 수 있을 것이다. 그는 항상 더욱 또 자신의 생각을 영의 나라로 향하게 할 것이다. 그는 그의 혼의 겉형체를 하나씩 벗을 것이다.

그러나 단지 사랑이 그의 성품을 바꾸는 일을 이룰 수 있다. 단지 사랑이 그의 혼을 구원하는 유일한 수단이다. 그러나 이 수단은 확실하게 역사하고 혼이 이제 빛을 통과할 수 있는 상태로 이 땅의 삶을 떠날 수 있게 하고 혼은 이제 자신을 한때 하나님을 떠났고 다시 하나님께 돌아갈 수 있는 하나님의 피조물로 깨닫게 한다.
