The church of Christ....

The congregation of Jesus Christ is made up by all believers who see in Jesus Christ their Redeemer, who believe in Him as the Son of God, Who descended to earth in order to offer the sacrifice of atonement as a human being for the whole of the human race.... and therefore want to follow Him.... The 'church of Christ', which He Himself founded on earth, has to be understood to be all profound believers; all, who seriously strive to be active Christians; all, who are not just Christians observing formalities; all, who have a living faith and consciously place themselves under the cross of Christ.... Jesus Christ must be acknowledged by the members of His church, and from this acknowledgment arises their duty to live in accordance with His teaching.... thus to consciously live a life of love, as He Himself exemplified to people and requested with His call 'Come and follow Me.... ' Anyone who complies with this call and acknowledges Him also belongs to the congregation which is described as the 'church of Christ'.... This is the invisible church which nevertheless can be and indeed is represented in every denomination because there are people everywhere who believe with heartfelt love in Jesus Christ, who are also absorbed by love for their fellow human beings.... who can be called true Christians, because they demonstrate by their way of life their affiliation to Him, Who crowned His activity of love with His death on the cross.

Hence this congregation exists wherever true Christians reside.... for they all belong in the church of Christ, and wherever two or three such Christians come together in His name He will be in the midst of them, the founder of the church of Christ, and will permeate them with His spirit.... Consequently their thoughts and words will also be right and even more relevant than the word of a preacher who is as yet not a living representative of the divine doctrine of love, whose words are not yet revealing his inner life, the spirit, which is the characteristic of the members of the church of Christ.... And this spirit will always express itself by plainly and clearly preaching and interpreting the Word of God.... which can also quite naturally take place in the smallest circle as a simple conversation wherever members of the church of Christ are together. For nothing of an external nature will confirm this membership except the individual person's spirit of love who strives towards Jesus Christ with a living faith in Him as the Son of God and Redeemer of the world, in Whose human shell God embodied Himself in order to redeem humanity from sin and death....

La Chiesa di Cristo (III)

La Comunità di Gesù Cristo è fatta di tutti i credenti, che vedono in Gesù Cristo il loro Redentore, che credono in Lui come il Figlio di Dio, Che E’ disceso sulla Terra, per portare da Uomo il Sacrificio dell’Espiazione per l’intera umanità, e che per questo gli uomini Lo vogliono seguire. Sotto la “Chiesa di Cristo” che Egli Stesso ha fondato sulla Terra, s’intendono tutti quelli che credono profondamente, tutti coloro che tendono seriamente, ad essere cristiani di fatto, tutti coloro che non sono soltanto dei cristiani di forma, tutti coloro che si trovano nella $$viva$$ $$fede$$, e che si mettono coscientemente sotto la Croce di Cristo. Gesù Cristo deve essere riconosciuto dai membri della Sua Chiesa, e da questo riconoscimento a loro cresce poi anche il dovere, di vivere secondo la Sua Dottrina, quindi di condurre coscientemente una vita d’amore come Egli Stesso l’ha vissuto d’esempio per gli uomini. Egli ha invitato a ciò con la Sua Chiamata: “SeguiteMi”, e chi segue questa Chiamata e Lo riconosce, appartiene anche alla Comunità che viene indicata come “la Chiesa di Cristo”. Questa è la Chiesa invisibile, che però può essere rappresentata in ogni confessione ed è rappresentata, perché dappertutto ci sono degli uomini che credono con intimo amore in Gesù Cristo, che si adoperano anche in amore per i loro prossimi, che possono essere chiamati veri cristiani, perché attraverso il loro cammino di vita dimostrano l’appartenenza a Lui, Che ha coronato il Suo Agire d’Amore sulla Terra con la Sua morte sulla Croce. Questa Comunità, dove vivono veri cristiani esiste quindi ovunque, perché tutti questi appartengono alla Chiesa di Cristo, e dove solo due o tre di tali cristiani si incontrano nel Suo Nome quivi è anch’Egli Stesso tra di loro e li colma con il Suo Spirito. Quindi anche i pensieri e le parole di questi uomini saranno giusti, e sono persino da valutare superiori, alla parola di un predicatore, che non è ancora un vivo rappresentante della Dottrina divina d’Amore, le cui parole non esternano ancora la vita interiore, lo spirito, il marchio dei membri della Chiesa di Cristo. E questo spirito si manifesterà sempre così, che la Parola viene predicata ed interpretata in modo semplice e chiaro, che può avvenire anche nella cerchia più piccola, nel modo più naturale, persino in una semplice conversazione, ovunque dei membri della Chiesa di Cristo stiano insieme. Perché nulla di esteriore conferma questa appartenenza, ma unicamente lo spirito d’amore del singolo, che spinge verso Gesù Cristo, nella viva fede in Lui come Figlio di Dio e Redentore del mondo, nel Cui involucro Dio Stesso Si E’ incorporato, per salvare gli uomini da peccato e morte.
