Mentally blind people cannot tolerate sudden light....

People languishing in spiritual darkness cannot tolerate sudden light and cover their eyes when they are struck by a ray of light.... A completely faithless person cannot grasp the pure truth if it is offered to him unprepared, for spiritual knowledge is an area which has to be consciously entered, i.e., only the will to experience it makes him capable of receiving it. However, anyone who walks completely in the dark obviously has his mind turned towards the world and his eyes are focussed on it and receive no other light than that which shines towards them from the earthly world.

Before the human being recognises the truth he must have come to terms with it, but this also requires his thoughts to be directed towards this spiritual realm. An unbeliever can certainly also listen when he is given information about spiritual things, he can then be touched by certain thoughts, but now his will decides whether he persists with these thoughts, and whether they impress him so much that he pursues them further and finally allows himself to be captivated by them. Then the spiritual eye slowly gets used to looking into the light.... and then its rays can become brighter and brighter without blinding and confusing the person. But he who stands in the light cannot understand that he has ever preferred darkness, and therefore he himself eagerly endeavours to bring light into the darkness and to enlighten people wherever he can.... But it is far worse wanting to bring the truth to a person who is completely filled with erroneous teachings. This person is, as it were, in a constant flash of light that is constantly fading and is therefore all the more glaring. However, such a bright flash of light is followed by such deep darkness that the person can no longer find a way out. But he is also not satisfied with a soft glow of light, he fails to recognise the true light, he passes by the pure truth because he does not look for it where it can be found, and because his spiritual eye has no power of sight, for the deceptive light destroys it, just as the pure truth, the divine light, strengthens the eye and makes it able to recognise everything in the darkness as well as in the kingdom of light, and thus there is no wall for the spiritual eye which it could not penetrate. The deepest wisdom can be grasped by the person who stands in the right light of eternal truth. But he must be a believer and full of love.... The flame of love shall spread a bright glow, a light which shines brightly through the darkness and which always allows a beneficial power to be felt where a still blind eye endeavours to see.... Yet the light must not suddenly be brought to this blind person in spirit.... Loving understanding for his spiritual weakness, for his blind state must bring loving help.... Every now and then a ray of light and love must touch him, which will then surely tear the veil from his eyes, and the initial twilight shall now prove to the person that the right light can be found in the acceptance of truth, and he himself will long for truth....

As pessoas que definham na escuridão espiritual não toleram a luz repentina, e tapam os olhos quando são atingidas por um raio de luz.... A pessoa completamente infiel não pode compreender a verdade pura se lhe for oferecida sem estar preparada, pois o conhecimento espiritual é uma área que tem de ser introduzida conscientemente, ou seja, a vontade de a experimentar só o torna capaz de a receber. Mas qualquer pessoa que ande completamente na escuridão tem obviamente a sua mente voltada para o mundo, e os seus olhos estão sintonizados com ele e não recebem outra luz que não seja a que brilha para eles a partir do mundo terreno. Antes que o ser humano reconheça a verdade, ele deve tê-la tratado, mas isto também exige uma viragem dos pensamentos para este reino espiritual. Um descrente pode certamente também ouvir quando lhe é dada informação sobre coisas espirituais, pode então ser tocado por certos pensamentos, mas agora a sua vontade decide se persiste com os pensamentos e eles impressionam-no tanto que ele continua a persegui-los e finalmente permite-se ser capturado por eles. Depois o olho espiritual habitua-se lentamente a olhar para a luz.... e então os seus raios podem tornar-se cada vez mais brilhantes e mais luminosos sem agora deslumbrar e confundir o ser humano. Mas quem está na luz não consegue compreender que alguma vez tenha preferido a escuridão, e por isso ele próprio se esforça avidamente por levar a luz para a escuridão e ter um efeito esclarecedor onde possa.... Mas é muito pior querer levar a verdade a uma pessoa que está completamente cheia de ensinamentos errados. Esta pessoa está, por assim dizer, num constante clarão de luz que se desvanece sempre e é por isso ainda mais gritante. Mas um clarão de luz tão brilhante é seguido por uma escuridão tão profunda que o ser humano já não consegue encontrar uma saída. Mas também não está satisfeito com um suave brilho de luz, não reconhece a luz verdadeira, passa pela verdade pura porque não a procura onde ela pode ser encontrada e porque o seu olho espiritual não tem poder de visão, pois a luz ilusória destrói-a, tal como a verdade pura, a luz divina, fortalece o olho e torna-o capaz de reconhecer tudo na escuridão, bem como no reino da luz, e assim não há muro para o olho espiritual que ele não possa penetrar. A sabedoria mais profunda pode ser apreendida pela pessoa que se coloca à luz correcta da verdade eterna. Mas esta pessoa deve estar a acreditar e cheia de amor.... A chama do amor espalhará um brilho brilhante, uma luz que brilha brilhantemente através da escuridão e que deixa sempre sentir uma força benéfica onde um olho ainda cego se esforça por ver.... No entanto, esta pessoa cega não deve ser subitamente sensibilizada para a luz no seu espírito.... A compreensão amorosa pela sua fraqueza espiritual, pelo seu estado cego deve trazer ajuda amorosa.... de vez em quando um raio de luz e amor deve tocá-lo, o que então também lhe rasgará certamente o véu dos olhos, e o crepúsculo inicial prova agora ao ser humano que a luz certa se encontra na aceitação da verdade, e ele próprio desejará a verdade...._>Ámen
