Wrong way.... vineyard work.... steep path....

How distant people's thoughts are and how difficult it is for them to approach the truth, even when it is offered to them. It is like a silent resistance against everything that comes from Me and testifies to Me, it is as if they flee from Me, Who is the eternal truth Myself. But they also stand apart from love and therefore do not recognize the truth which comes forth from eternal love. People flee the light and as long as they walk in darkness they go wrong. But they don't think about that either, where the path they walk leads to.... And that is why it is so difficult to awaken in them the sense of responsibility they bear towards their soul. They go through life completely thoughtless and therefore have to be forcibly disturbed from their calm and careless way of life. An act of violence would truly not be necessary if humanity were not in greatest danger, which I would like to avert and can also avert if the human being himself reaches out to Me, if he would go into himself of his own accord and think about the purpose and aim of his existence. And in order to achieve this I must again and again influence him through illness, suffering or death, through his own or others' adversity; I must knock on his heart's door and speak to him.... Yet how rarely is My language understood because people don't believe in Me.

And again, it is love alone which can bring about a change in the human being.... Love is the first thing, and without love the path to Me will not be found. And thus all My endeavours and means of help aim to kindle love in people's hearts so that they will learn to believe and become introspective. And again and again I send My messengers towards them who preach love and seek to awaken a living faith; I send My messengers to them who bring them the truth. Where they meet with indifference, with resistance or even hostility, there My efforts no longer bear fruit, there the gulf between Me and them is still too great and the vineyard work will not have much success. And yet, eager vineyard work shall be done, My word shall be carried everywhere, My call shall penetrate everywhere, My gospel shall be proclaimed everywhere and the approaching end shall be mentioned. it is like a trumpet call resounding through the world.... occasionally it nevertheless strikes an ear which listens and follows the sound, occasionally a light- and strength-hungry earth traveller who lies weary on the path is touched and strengthened by it, and he hurries to receive the glad tidings he has longed for. And for the sake of these few I send My messengers so that they will be gathered, so that they will be given the necessary sustenance to be able to cover the earthly path until they reach the aim. For I don't want them to go wrong or to sink down exhausted before they reach the aim. I will meet them and still bestow abundant grace upon them because the last end of the path will be very arduous, for it goes steeply upwards, because it has to be shortened, for the end is near.... Therefore, don't become weak when your earthly path is difficult but remember My words that you are close to the end of your life and, if you want to, you can leap upwards with My help. For I hold out My hand to anyone who is willing and pull him up as soon as he grasps it....

잘못된 길. 포도원 일. 가파른 오르막 길.

사람들의 생각이 얼마나 다른 생각을 하고, 그들에게 진리가 제시될지라도, 진리에 더 가까이 다가가는 일이 얼마나 어려운가! 이런 일은 나에게서 나와 나에 대해 증언하는 모든 것에 조용히 거부하는 일과 같고, 영원한 진리 자신인 나로부터 도피하는 일과 같다. 그러나 그들은 또한 사랑에서 멀리 떨어져 있고 그러므로 영원한 사랑에서 나오는 진리를 깨닫지 못한다. 사람들은 빛을 피하고, 그들이 어두움 속에서 거하는 동안에는 그들은 잘못된 길을 간다. 그러나 그들은 자신이 가는 경로가 어디로 가는 지를 생각하지 않는다. 그러므로 그들 안에 그들이 가진 혼에 대한 책임감을 깨우는 일이 아주 어렵다.

그들은 완전히 생각이 없이 삶을 산다. 그러므로 폭력적으로 그들의 안락하고 무모한 삶의 방식이 흔들리게 돼야만 한다. 사람이 스스로 나에게 손을 내밀고, 그 자신이 동인이 되어 내면으로 들어가 그가 존재하는 목적과 목표에 대해 생각한다면, 내가 피하게 해주기를 원하고 또한 피하게 해줄 수 있는 가장 큰 위험에 인류가 처하지 않았다면, 폭력적인 일이 진실로 필요하지 않을 것이다. 목적과 목표에 도달하기 위해 나는 항상 또 다시 이웃 질병과 고통을 통해 또는 자신의 위험이나 다른 사람의 위험을 통해 사람에게 역사해야만 한다. 나는 사람의 심장의 문을 두드리고 그에게 말해야만 한다. 그러나 사람들이 나를 믿지 않기 때문에 내 말을 단지 희귀하게 이해한다.

사랑이 유일하게 사람을 변화시킬 수 있다. 사랑이 첫째이고, 사랑이 없으면 나에게 향하는 길을 찾을 수 없다. 그러므로 내가 하는 모든 노력과 내가 주는 모든 도움의 수단은 사람들의 심장 안에 사랑이 불타오르게 하기 위한 것이고, 그들이 믿는 법을 배우고 자신의 내면으로 들어가는 것을 배우게 하기 위한 것이다. 나는 항상 또 다시 사랑을 전하고 생명력 있는 믿음이 깨어나게 하려고 노력하는 내 일꾼을 그들에게 보내고, 그들에게 진리를 전할 사자들을 그들에게 보낸다. 그들이 무관심과 저항과 심지어 대적받는 일을 당하면, 내 노력은 더 이상 결실을 맺지 못하고 나와 그들 사이의 격차가 아직 아주 크고, 포도원 일이 많은 성공을 하지 못하게 될 것이다.

그럼에도 불구하고 포도원일을 부지런히 해야 하고, 모든 곳으로 내 말씀을 전해야 하고, 모든 곳에 내 부름이 도달해야 하고, 모든 곳에서 내 복음이 선포돼야 하고, 가까운 종말이 언급돼야 한다. 이런 일이 세상을 향해 울리는 나팔 소리와 같아야 한다. 이 가운데 세상을 향해 외치는 소리를 듣고 따라가는 귀를 만나고, 빛과 힘에 굶주리고 지친 가운데 길을 가는 사람이 이 소리에 감동하고 힘을 얻게 된다. 그는 자신이 갈망하던 좋은 소식을 듣기 위해 서두르게 된다.

이런 소수의 사람들 때문에 내가 내 일꾼을 보내, 그들을 모아 그들이 길을 가는데 필요한 음식을 주고, 이 땅의 길을 목표에 도달하기까지 갈 수 있게 한다. 왜냐면 나는 그들이 잘못된 길을 가거나 목표 앞에 이미 지쳐 주저앉는 일을 원하지 않기 때문이다. 나는 그들을 향해 다가가고, 그들에게 아직 많은 은혜를 주기 원한다. 왜냐면 길의 마지막 부분이 가파른 오르막 길이기 때문에 아주 어려울 것이고, 종말이 가깝기 때문에 짧게 해줘야만 하기 때문이다. 그러므로 너희의 이 땅의 길이 어려울 때 연약해지지 말고, 너희가 인생의 마지막에 가까이 있다는 내 말씀을 기억하라. 너희가 원한다면, 너희는 내 도움으로 정상에 빠르게 올라갈 수 있다. 왜냐면 내가 원하는 모든 사람에게 손을 내밀고, 그가 내 손을 잡으면, 그를 끌어올리기 때문이다.
