Recognize the truth and utilize in love....

It is not man's knowledge that makes him blissful, but the utilization of knowledge, because love is necessary for this and love alone has a blissful effect. And so man can certainly possess knowledge without living in love. But then it is only pure intellectual knowledge, gained through study, through eager reflection on problems which certainly reach into spiritual territory but can only be called spiritual knowledge when the human being has been taught about it by the spirit within himself through a life of love. Having absorbed extensive knowledge does not yet guarantee its possession, for what was gained through intellectual activity is just as transient as all earthly knowledge, even if it has spiritual content. It is dead knowledge which already has no enlivening effect on earth and is completely lost in the beyond. Only love awakens the letter to life, only love gives understanding for spiritual knowledge, and only love makes this knowledge happy.... But love constantly gives away what makes it happy itself in order to also make fellow human beings happy. Knowledge, however, will only make people happy if it is received with a loving heart....

From this you humans can see that only love ever determines the degree of knowledge people have, for even though a loving person still lacks knowledge he will immediately understand it if it is presented to him. Love recognizes the truth and love also utilizes it.... Anyone who has the right truth cannot help but pass it on, because love impels him to do so but he also has to be in love in order to have recognized it as truth. Nevertheless, the human being can also stand up for knowledge which does not correspond to the truth, but then he should unsparingly give himself an answer to the question: To what degree am I willing to love?.... And this answer is also the measure of the truth of what he stands for. A loving person is full of eagerness to serve God because he has recognized Him as father and creator from eternity, as the most perfect being by Whom he knows himself to be loved. And therefore he will serve Him with all his heart and soul, even if it is not outwardly recognizable. But there is one thing he will not fail to do, to point his fellow human beings to Him and to seek to persuade them to believe in Him.... For he who believes himself also wants to persuade his fellow human being to hand himself over to the father as a child. And therefore he will always convey to his fellow human being what he knows himself. This knowledge is full truth and increases with increasing love activity. Intellectual knowledge, on the other hand, is passed on professionally, and this is mostly connected with earthly interests. Love gives without demanding payment, but he who demands such is not in love but only in occupation.... He makes use of his intellectual knowledge and only puts love in second place. And this knowledge will not bring much blessing, it only stimulates intellectual activity again, but the heart remains untouched and does not get to know the bliss of receiving truth. For knowledge can be truth but without love it will not be recognized as such. Therefore, first cultivate love, and whatever knowledge is then offered to you, share it out again in love.... Only then will your knowledge increase and remain your spiritual property, which is everlasting and enables you to be happy in the kingdom of the beyond and prepare you for bliss again.

Reconhecer a verdade e utilizá-la no amor....

Não é o conhecimento do homem que o torna feliz, mas a utilização do conhecimento, porque o amor é necessário para isso e só o amor tem um efeito feliz. E assim o homem pode certamente possuir conhecimentos sem viver no amor. Mas então é apenas conhecimento intelectual puro, adquirido através do estudo, através de uma reflexão ávida sobre problemas que certamente chegam ao território espiritual mas que só podem ser chamados de conhecimento espiritual quando o ser humano foi ensinado pelo espírito dentro de si mesmo através de uma vida de amor. Ter absorvido extensos conhecimentos ainda não garante a sua posse, pois o que foi adquirido através da actividade intelectual é tão transitório como todo o conhecimento terreno, mesmo que tenha conteúdo espiritual. É um conhecimento morto que já não tem efeito vivificante na terra e está completamente perdido no além. Só o amor desperta a carta para a vida, só o amor dá compreensão pelo conhecimento espiritual, e só o amor faz esse conhecimento feliz.... Mas o amor dá constantemente aquilo que o faz feliz, a fim de também fazer felizes os outros seres humanos. O conhecimento, contudo, só fará as pessoas felizes se for recebido com um coração amoroso....

A partir disto os humanos podem ver que só o amor determina o grau de conhecimento que as pessoas têm, pois mesmo que uma pessoa amorosa ainda não tenha conhecimento, compreenderá imediatamente se este lhe for apresentado. O amor reconhece a verdade e o amor também a utiliza.... Quem tem a verdade certa não pode deixar de a transmitir, porque o amor o impele a fazê-lo, mas também tem de estar apaixonado para a ter reconhecido como verdade. No entanto, o ser humano também pode defender um conhecimento que não corresponde à verdade, mas então deve dar a si próprio uma resposta sem receio à pergunta: Até que ponto estou disposto a amar?.... E esta resposta é também a medida da verdade do que ele representa. Uma pessoa carinhosa está cheia de vontade de servir a Deus porque O reconheceu como Pai e Criador desde a eternidade, como o Ser mais perfeito por Quem ele próprio sabe ser amado. E, portanto, servi-lo-á de todo o seu coração e alma, mesmo que não seja reconhecível externamente. Mas há uma coisa que ele não deixará de fazer, apontar-lhe os seus semelhantes e procurar persuadi-los a acreditarem n'Ele.... Pois aquele que acredita em si mesmo também quer persuadir o seu semelhante a entregar-se ao Pai como uma criança. E, portanto, transmitirá sempre ao seu semelhante aquilo que ele próprio conhece. Este conhecimento é verdade total e aumenta com o aumento da actividade amorosa. O conhecimento intelectual, por outro lado, é transmitido profissionalmente, e isto está sobretudo ligado a interesses terrestres. O amor dá sem exigir pagamento, mas aquele que o exige não está apaixonado, mas apenas em ocupação..... Ele faz uso dos seus conhecimentos intelectuais e apenas coloca o amor em segundo lugar. E este conhecimento não trará muita bênção, apenas estimulará novamente a actividade intelectual, mas o coração permanece intocado e não conhece a bem-aventurança de receber a verdade. Pois o conhecimento pode ser verdade, mas sem amor não será reconhecido como tal. Portanto, primeiro cultive o amor, e qualquer que seja o conhecimento que depois lhe seja oferecido, partilhe-o novamente no amor. Só então o seu conhecimento aumentará e permanecerá como sua propriedade espiritual, o que é eterno e lhe permite ser feliz no reino do além e prepará-lo novamente para a felicidade._>Ámen
